Outside the gate there was a commotion.
The gate was whirling around with erratic energy.
"Why is the gate acting like that?!"
"Are the monsters coming?"
"Papa I'm scared!"
"Don't worry everyone! Everything will be fine. To be safe evacuate to the nearest shelter. The military will handle everything."
Right when people were about to run for their lives, the gate just disappeared.
"What's going on?"
Suddenly a figure was standing where the gate used to be.
"Who is that?!"
Lucas took a few step forwards and some of the awakend that were close looked with surprise.
"Isn't that the guy with the powerful summons?"
"Go report this to the commander!"
"Yes sir!"
Lucas soon saw Commander Schmid with Captain Bacher approaching him.
"Lucas, what happened?!"
"I cleared the gate."
Both were completely shocked.
"What?!"
Commander Schmid quickly calmed himself.
"Alright let's move to the tent, so you can explain."
Lucas agreed.

Soon they were caught up to everything.
Lucas didn't hide anything except for Ghost's involvement.
Captain Bacher spoke first.
"That's unbelievable…"
"Even though you may have killed them one by one, that's still amazing."
"I agree with Bacher."
"You did an excellent job kid."
"I will personally see to it that you are appropriately compensated."
"Thank you commander."
After discussing some more things like the establishment of the Swiss Awakend Association, Lucas departed.

It was already late and Lucas was tired, but he decided to use his rewards before heading to bed.
First he pulled the skill option card.

In a matter of seconds, countless knowledge entered his brain.
The flood of information gave Lucas an immense headache.
'Fuck! This is so painful.'
After a few minutes it finally faded away.
'This is unbelievable. How do I just know these things?'
Lucas immediately tested it out.
He created a small flame on the palm of his hand.
'Holy shit, it's real!'
"Congratulations on gaining magic, master!"
Grishna seemed really excited for Lucas.
Lucas smiled back at her.
"Thanks Grishna."
'At C-rank the skill isn't very powerful, but it's still useful in many ways. Especially in a critical situation where I might need fire or light.'
Lucas kept experimenting with the skill, though just small things since he didn't want to burn down his apartment.
He soon moved on to his attribute points.

Lucas and Grishna went to sleep without doing anything tonight.
He just enjoyed the closeness of sharing a bed with someone and he was too tired to do anything.

The next day Lucas got a call.
A captain of a military team requested for him to help clear an E-rank gate.
Lucas of course accepted and was on his way.
As soon as Lucas entered the gate with their team, he split up from them.
This was one of the two wolf and goblin forest gates.
Lucas summoned his Avatars and they made light work of the monsters in this gate.
"Make sure every monster is dead before I destroy the gate core. I want all the experience we can get."
"Understood!"
Even before, these monsters weren't a threat to his avatars, but now even the E-ranks here were basically like normal goblins to them.
After an hour of hunting in this large forest, they had killed every single monster.
They also collected any unique materials that couldn't be found outside and stored them.
Lucas then took the gate core and crushed it.

'Yes! That's exactly what I needed.'
After killing nearly every monster in this gate, he felt that he deserved it.
There were around 200 goblins, 50 hobgoblins and 50 blue forest wolves.
Lucas reached level 13.
Krasbert and Grishna were close to leveling up as well.
After clearing the gate Lucas went home since there was nothing else to do.
As soon as he arrived home he got a message on his phone.

"Holy shit!"
Lucas shouted in surprise.
'This must be because of the D-rank gate.'
'Commander Schmid really is a man of his word.'
'The government must have been very grateful.'
'But with the damage the monsters from that gate could've cost the city, I should've gotten a lot more.'
'Well that's typical for the government, but I'm satisfied. This is a lot of money.'
"Hm, what should I do with it?"
Lucas decided to put the matter of money to the side.
He turned on the news and saw that the Swiss Awakend Association has been established.
A lot of powerful nations also established associations for awakend.
There were even some former civilians who created guilds, but that wasn't the case for Switzerland.
Or at least not yet.
'Will there be guilds in Switzerland or will the government try to control everything?'
'If they will allow it maybe I should create a guild myself, but I don't think I would have the skills to operate something like that.'
'Plus I don't trust anyone and am not very good at making friends.'
'I prefer being a loner anyway. And I have my avatars.'
