While Lucas was wandering further into the cave inside the gate.
The other awakend were outside getting treated and telling families about their loved ones death.
Commander Schmid was currently on the phone with the top officials of the Swiss Army.
He was desperately asking for reinforcements.
"We will see what we can do Commander Schmid, but even if we somehow manage to send reinforcements, it won't be much."
"These gates are in every corner of the country and everyone has their hands full with them."
"I understand that sir, but we lost half our forces in there. There aren't enough awakend who want to risk their lives for this city's safety and I can't blame them."
"You don't need to worry for much longer. Tomorrow will be the official establishment of the Swiss Awakend Association and in two days time there will also be a branch in Zurich."
"That is good news sir, but soon the monsters will be able to leave the gate and we aren't prepared for that."
"Don't worry. From what you told me, I believe that most monsters were killed in there, I don't think they will be coming out anytime soon."
"And by the way. You were recommended for the Branch Head position in Zurich. You should report to them early tomorrow. This is a good opportunity for you, take advantage of it."
"Understood sir, I will."
"Alright goodbye."

'Good opportunity? Who cares about that right now? I just hope that he's right about them not coming out.'
'I hope that Lucas is okay in there.'
Commander Schmid hated politics, but he always followed orders.
'I should tell Bacher about this. And if I become the branch head, the first thing I will do is hire him. There is no one I trust more.'

Lucas was walking inside a large and very dark tunnel with his avatars.
After walking for a few minutes, Lucas discovered a few small caves to the sides of the large tunnel.
Ghost said something.
"Master. Those small caves are where the individual wolf kobolds reside."
"Are you telling me that we can hunt them down one by one?"
"Yes, but they aren't always inside."
"A lot of them are where the alpha is. They bring him food and serve him. Some of them are also there as his guards."
"Alright. Grishna and you Ghost will enter these caves one by one to silently kill them. Krasbert and I will stay back and follow you from behind."
"Understood."
They started moving.
Ghost entered the first cave on the right and Grishna to the left.
Grishna was lucky that her target was sleeping, she sliced his throat.
When Ghost entered, he saw two kobolds mating, he was even more lucky to have found two at once.
Ghost stabbed the male kobold in his back and the female one in her neck, then followed with a couple swings of his daggers that decapitated them both.
They then kept moving further into the tunnel and repeated that process. Some tried to fight back, but it was no use against the avatars with the same rank but superior stats.
After some observation, Lucas learned that D-ranks went from level 10-20.
'Looks like we are done here since the last few caves were empty. I suspect those are the ones that are with the boss monster right now.'
'We might be able to clear this whole gate.'
'And Grishna just reached level 11 before.'
They kept walking and soon saw a faint orange light coming from the corner.
'This is it. We need to be careful now. I just need to get close enough to use Odin's Eye.'
But when he took another few steps, he heard a loud and deep voice.
"A human got this far into my kingdom?"
'What the fuck?! He sensed me. And he can speak the human tongue!'
"I can smell your fear. No need to hide, just come face your death!"
Right when Lucas was about to move, four D-rank wolf kobolds charged at him and his avatars. They were all level 20.
"Shit! Ghost, Grishna, Krasbert. Kill them!"
"Yes master!"
Ghost blocked two of them and kicked them away. He then charged at them and stabbed their chests.
Grishna shot two arrows consecutively and killed the other two.
They then all walked forwards with confidence, including Lucas.
Lucas then saw the giant red wolf kobold on his wooden throne. He was surrounded by 6 kobolds, 4 were level 20 and 2 were level 10.
'They are probably his guards and servants.'

The boss monster was pissed at his words.
"Go get me that human!!"
Ghost and Grishna quickly eliminated his underlings and immediately charged at the alpha.
"You puny insects dare face me!"
Grishna shot consecutive arrows and Ghost moved fast to make deep cuts everywhere on the alphas body.
He managed to protect his vital points, but he was bleeding profusely and Ghost's poison started taking effect quickly with so many cuts.
The boss monster stood no chance.
After another minute of aggressively flailing about, he dropped on the floor.
