Chapter 4 - Going Out Together

Arriving home, David immediately carried Rey to his room slowly so as not to wake him up.

"Rey... Dad knows you miss your mother. But that woman will never be able to replace her position," David said softly while stroking Rey's still sleeping head.

The next morning, David had just woken up from his sleep and was preparing to go to the dining table for breakfast.

However, upon arriving in the dining room, he was surprised to see many items scattered on the floor.

"What's going on... (David thought)

Aunt Mirna... Aunt... Aunt... why is everything messy," David said while rushing towards the kitchen.

Meanwhile

"Young master, please stop, I know you're upset right now," said Aunt Mirna, trying to calm Rey down.

Rey kept scattering the appliances in the kitchen. No one knew what was wrong with the boy this morning. Suddenly, he started throwing all the items.

David arrived

"Aunt Mirna, what..." was interrupted when he saw Rey, who was dirty from scattering flour.

"Sir... Help me, the young master can't be reasoned with," said Aunt Mirna, who was already exhausted with Rey's behavior.

"Rey, what are you doing? Isn't it too early to make a mess in the house?" David said.

Because Rey was angry with David, he decided to stop talking to his father this time and continued playing with the kitchen flour in his hands.

"Dad is talking to you now, I know you're angry with Dad for bringing you home last night..." David expressed while trying to coax Rey.

But it was useless, Rey increasingly didn't want to talk to him now.

"Alright... Let's make an agreement today. Dad will take Rey to meet Aunt Liana. But Rey must promise not to act like this again, agree..." David said while holding out his palm.

Hearing David's offer, Rey couldn't refuse it. Besides, that was what Rey wanted from the start.

"Agree Dad... Let's get ready. Mother Liana will be happy if we come to see her," Rey answered enthusiastically.

Finally, David managed to persuade Rey. Even though he had to meet Liana again today, at least his relationship with Rey was starting to improve from before.

"Aunt Mirna doesn't need to cook breakfast this morning. Because Rey wants to have breakfast outside with mother and father. Come on Dad, we have to get ready immediately," said Rey, who was being carried by David now.

"O... Okay young master," answered Aunt Mirna, confused by Rey's words just now.

"The young master's mother...? Does Mr. David have a girlfriend now?" Aunt Mirna thought confusedly.

After getting ready, David and Rey finally left for Liana's apartment, as Rey had wished earlier.

Upon arriving there, after getting out of the car, a woman accidentally bumped into David, who was just about to open the car door for Rey.

"Ahhh... Sorry... I'm really sorry... I truly didn't mean to," Liana said, bowing her head.

"Liana... It's you," David said while looking at the clothes Liana was wearing.

"Motherrr..." Rey said, who immediately got out of the car and immediately wanted to hug Liana.

"Stop Rey, my clothes are wet now, I can't hug you, and You two...? Why are you here?" Liana asked, still looking confused.

"Mother, we came to take you out today, will mother go out with Rey and father?" Rey invited Liana.

"What...!!!" Liana was quite surprised by Rey's invitation just now. It wasn't anything, it was because she thought they had just met yesterday, and how could she become that close to Rey's family?

"Miss Liana, actually I don't feel good about saying this here. But please wear my jacket. Your white clothes are visible when wet. Too many people are paying attention here," David said while placing his jacket on Liana's shoulder.

Hearing David's words just now, Liana immediately covered her body tightly with David's jacket.

"Why are you so wet like this?" David asked.

"Uh... I just helped a kitten that was washed away in the small river next to the apartment, so I got wet like this," Liana explained.

"A kitten...! Just to save it, you're willing to put yourself in danger?" David asked.

"Doctor, after all, that kitten also has a mother. If something happens to it, its mother will definitely be sad. I can't let that happen," Liana explained.

"Mother, you are truly the best, Rey is proud to have a mother like you," Rey chimed in.

"Thank you, Rey, but could you please call me sister or Auntie? Honestly, the word 'mother' shouldn't be casually used like that to just anyone," Liana explained.

"Just anyone...? Mother, you are not just anyone in my eyes," Rey said.

"Is that so, But..." was interrupted by David.

"Enough, hurry up and get ready, I'll wait for you in the car with Rey, we're going out to eat together today," David interjected to stop the argument between Liana and Rey.

"But Doctor, I..." was interrupted.

"I said hurry up and get ready. Don't ask too many questions," David said firmly.

"O... Okay. I'm going up now," she immediately left, not daring to oppose David's command.

After a few minutes had passed, Liana finally returned after making her preparations. Without waiting for a signal, Liana just entered the back door of David's car, because she thought if Rey and David were sitting in the front seat, she must have to sit in the back.

"Hey Rey, sorry for making you wait so long," Liana said as she just got in.

"Miss Liana, what are you doing there? Get to the front. I'm not your driver, am I?" David ordered.

"Hmm... Doctor, I thought Rey was sitting in the front earlier, that's why I immediately took the back seat," Liana explained.

"Is that so? Now you know Rey is sitting in the back. Why don't you just move to the front?" David said.

Hearing David's words, Liana finally decided to move to the front seat rather than having to keep listening to David's advice during the journey.

On the way

"Dad... Where are we going now, have you decided on the restaurant?" Rey said.

"Actually not yet, but Dad thinks we should go to a restaurant recommended by Miss Liana, how about that?" David answered, which immediately made Liana confused.

"I don't have any restaurant recommendations, sir, so I don't really know," Liana explained.

"Impossible, where do you usually eat...?" David asked while driving.

"I usually only eat at roadside stalls, and I think the food is very clean and delicious," Liana said.

"Dad... Let's go to that stall. Mother likes it, Rey is sure that we will like it too," Rey interjected just like that.

"Honestly, Dad is not so sure about the cleanliness, but if that's what you both want, we'll go there," David explained, choosing to give in.

"Hooray... Is mother happy now?" Rey said happily.

"Yes..." Liana answered briefly, she actually didn't know if it would suit the food qualifications David usually ate or not, she hoped everything would go well.
