Chapter 1 - The Alpha’s Defiance

The evening wind howled against the tall windows of Frost Mansion, a sprawling estate perched on the northern cliffs of Solvane City. Beneath its chandelier-lit ceiling, the atmosphere was heavy — thick with tension and pride. The long oak table gleamed under the golden lights as the higher-ups of the Frost family and the leading members of the Eclipse Pack gathered for their semi-annual council.

At the head of the table sat Adrian Frost, the Alpha of the Eclipse Pack — tall, composed, and cold as the ice his name carried.

"Second Uncle," Adrian's voice broke the silence, smooth yet commanding. "You already know my answer, yet you've brought up the same topic in the family meeting once again. Very well, for your sake, I will repeat myself — I will not marry the daughter of the Alpha of the Bloodmoon Pack. That is my decision."

His silver-gray eyes glimmered with dominance. "You can either accept it as the choice of your nephew… or the final command of your Alpha."

A wave of murmurs rippled across the hall. The elders exchanged uneasy glances, their tempers barely restrained.

"You stubborn boy!" barked his Second Uncle, slamming his palm on the table. "You always think only of yourself! Do you even understand what your rejection means? The Bloodmoon Pack is already losing patience. If you refuse their proposal again, they'll declare war — a war worse than the one nineteen years ago. Do you want us all to die because of your arrogance?"

A slow smirk curved Adrian's lips."So, what I hear," he said softly, "is that the great Frost family… fears the Bloodmoon Pack."

Gasps followed his words.

"You claim to be leaders, protectors — and yet you tremble at the mention of their name. How pathetic." His tone hardened, slicing through the silence. "But I am not like you. I do not fear the Bloodmoon Pack. If they want war—" his gaze darkened, "—then I will give them one."

The First Uncle leaned forward, his voice calmer but filled with frustration."Adrian, this marriage is not about fear. It's strategy — a political bond. It will strengthen both packs, prevent future conflicts, and bring you greater power. Think rationally."

Before Adrian could respond, a mocking voice echoed from the far end of the table.

It was Marcus, the Second Uncle's eldest son — young, arrogant, and jealous of Adrian's authority."Why are we even arguing?" Marcus sneered. "He's blinded by some simple girl who keeps rejecting him. A year of chasing her, and she still says no. Maybe I should just kill her — remove the obstacle from your path, cousin. Then you might finally think about Jane's proposal."

The words had barely left his mouth when the air in the room shifted. In the blink of an eye, Adrian was gone from his seat — and standing in front of Marcus. The move was so fast, no one even saw him cross the distance.

Adrian's hand closed around Marcus's neck like iron. His eyes gleamed with lethal fury."One more word, Marcus," he said in a deadly whisper, "and I swear I will crush you to ash right here."

Marcus struggled, gasping for air. Adrian's strength was beyond comprehension — a reminder to all that he was not merely an Alpha, but a predator forged in battle and pain.

"It seems," Adrian continued coldly, "you've forgotten who you're raising your voice against. If not for the sake of family, you would already be dead."

He released his grip, and Marcus stumbled backward, coughing. The room fell silent — no one dared breathe.

Adrian turned to the rest of the council, his voice now calm but cold as frost."This discussion ends here. My marriage to Jane will never be spoken of again. And hear me well — anyone who dares to touch the woman I love will not live to see the next sunrise."

Without another glance, Adrian walked out of the hall. David, his right hand and most trusted companion, followed silently.

In the parking area, the midnight-blue Aston Martin gleamed under the moonlight. David quickly opened the passenger door. Once Adrian settled in, David took the driver's seat and asked quietly,"Where to, Alpha?"Adrian's eyes narrowed as he looked out the window. "Argent Royale Hotel."

The car roared to life, speeding away from Frost Mansion like a phantom.

Meanwhile — Bloodmoon Territory

News travels fast among wolves. By the time the night deepened, the news of Adrian Frost's rejection had reached Jane, daughter of the Bloodmoon Alpha.

Her fingers tightened around a glass of water until it shattered in her hand. Crystal shards and blood fell to the marble floor."Jane!" her mother gasped, rushing toward her. "You're hurting yourself!"

But Jane's eyes were blazing with tears and rage. "He rejected me again!" she shouted, trembling.

Her mother called for the family doctor, then turned to her husband, the Alpha. "This has gone far enough," she said sharply. "It's for her sake that we've been humbling ourselves before that man, but no more. I will not let our family bow down again. You are the Alpha of the Bloodmoon Pack — remember your pride."

"Dad!" Jane cried, clutching her bleeding hand. "You know I love him. I'll marry no one else. If you refuse me, I'll end my life. I mean it!"

Her mother paled, motioning for her husband to stay silent. The great Alpha clenched his fists — torn between pride and love.

He looked at his daughter, the only light of his life, and sighed heavily. How could he deny her anything? If sending another proposal to Adrian Frost would make her happy, then so be it.

But before the Alpha could say any word, Jane's voice reached his ear. "This time you don't need to send any proposal to Adrian, Father," she said, each word a promise. "Now I will make him marry me at any cost. Just wait and watch."
