INT. C.H.R.U.C.H BUILDING(THEA'S OFFICE) - AFTERNOON. NOVEMBER 1ST, 2025, 5:00 P.M
"You fucking cheater, I demand a rematch!", Demanded Gibby, face red as he marched up to Gabriel.
Gabriel had a sweat bubble form on the back of his head. "I'd like to know how I cheated?"
"I, well, ugh!"
"Huh, seems the training around has gone to shit since I've been gone.", Blake remarked from his position on the couch behind Gabriel.
Gibby quickly turned his gaze towards Blake, pointing at him "You…. grrrr shut the fuck up old man! I'll fight both of you at the same time if I have to!"
Thea slapped her face in disappointment, her chest raising slowly up and down as if she was trying to control her anger. "It's hard to find good help these days", she muttered, loud enough for everyone to hear, her tone dry.
Gibby took a step back, grasping his chest as if he got shot through it. "Vice Director, how could you!"
"Ever the dramatic one, ain't he," Blake commented, letting out a small chuckle.
Gabirel rubbed his temples in annoyance. "Look, Gibby…"
"It's Captain Gibson to you," Gibby interrupted.
Gabriel nodded his head in argument to his words. "Right, Right Captain Gibby." Gibby let out a low growl, but Gabirel ignored him. Continuing on with his train of thought, "We're in the middle of something important , so if we could take a raincheck on that fight I'm sure we can schedule it for a different day."
"Such insolence! I am the Captain of The Division One. The Hunters Division. We are known for our strength and power. I refuse to let some upstart trained by a washed up hack think he's better than me in battle.
"Apparently you're also the captain of not shutting the fuck up," Blake mumbled
Even though they still heard the ethereal laughter, Thea used her hand to cover her. Trying to cover up the sound the best she could. Gabriel couldn't help but smirk. Blake was always the one to joke at someone's expense. Clearing his throat, he stepped forward addressing Gibby once again. "Listen, Gibby, if there is a sparring ground in this building, I'm more than willing to fight you again, " Gabriel offered, though he grimaced at the look of anger on Gibby's face.
"Are you scared that I'd beat you in a rematch!"
"Hmm, not in particular I'd rather focus on this important case we are working on at the moment."
Thea then interrupted, clapping her hands together as everyone turned to face her. "Usually I don't care about decorum when it comes to being a leader, as you know, Captain Gibson"
Gibby's face paled at the harsh tone Thea was using to address him. "Yes, you're correct, ma'am", he said, saluting her and standing up straight.
"I knew the guards told you I was in an important meeting, and you decided to burst your way into my office anyways. If this is how the leader of division one acts, then maybe I was wrong for promoting you."
"Ma'am, anger blinded me at losing, especially losing to someone associated with Blake.", Gibby apologized, offering a slight bow of his head to show his sincerity.
"I'll go over disciplinary measures on Monday once the director is here. I will demote you or any of your members if they do not meet my standards."
"Understood!"
"Oh, someone is getting punished", Blake joked, making Gibby glare at Blake.
Thea once again laughed, her face dropping from the serious look to a more relaxed one. Gabriel, seeing the tension in the room easing, sat back down on the couch. Looking at Thea, he cleared his throat, wanting to transition the conversation back to the original topic. "Before we were rudely interrupted", He paused here to look at Gibby, who had a pissed off expression on his face. Gabriel smirked at how annoyed he looked before continuing." Two members of a group have attacked us on different occasions. Once at a warehouse about thirty minutes out of the city, another time during the fair"
"I also got attacked outside of Alucard's club." Blake added.
Thea cocked her head at the statement, "What were you doing at Alucard's club?"
"I was looking for Mark"
"You're still dealing with that sexist pig."
Blake just shrugged, "I was dealing with him, I mean, he's dead now."
"Couldn't have happened to a worse person."
"He was an acquired taste", Blake admitted.
"More like a racist dick", Gabriel mumbled to himself.
Blake let out a sigh, "He gave me a lot of good intel over the years."
Thea just sighed softly to herself. "To each their own to whom people associate themselves with."
"Sorry to interrupt, but you were talking about people dressed in red cloaks?", Gibby spoke up.
Gabriel turned his head towards Gibby, shocked he was still standing there. "Yeah, long red clocks that stretch down to the thigh," he replied, tone neutral not to show his shock.
Gibby crossed his arms, his eyes looking up at the ceiling. "I'd have to get the paperwork, but we have reports about a person in a red clock visiting a grave. You'd have to double check with the Division 3 scout team."
"Did you get the name of the gravesite?"
"Hmm, yes, it's written down in the report, but I'm pretty sure it was Cain or something similar to that, though I can't really remember off the top of my head.", Gibby admitted.
Blake sat forward on the couch, his expression turning serious as he looked dead at Thea. "Was the grave where the search took you the same name?" Thea looked at Blake, opening her mouth for a moment before closing it. "ANSWER ME!" he shouted full of anger slamming his hand on the table. The loud sound made Gabriel jump.
Thea looked down at her lap, her hands gripping her knees with force. "Yes, it was the same name", She finally answered, the tone lowered
"Fuck!" Blake shouted standing up grabbing his head in anger as he marched back and forth.
Gabriel looked at the sad look on Thea's face, and the confusion on Gibby's face after the outburst. He thought it would be safe to stay quiet since he didn't have anything to say or add to the conversation. He watched as Blake angrily passed back and forth, the words he muttered sounding angry in response. No one spoke until they heard loud footsteps coming from the entrance.
Suddenly the lights went off, sending the room into darkness. A moment later, the emergency lights came on very low, but enough for things to be visual. "Ma'am, we need to…", the feminine voice trailed off, replaced by a gurgling sound, as the body dropped to the ground.
Stepping over the soldier was a person with a red cloak, with black boats, black cargo pants, and black gloves. The face was covered by a full mask, yellow claws extended from the back of the gloved hands. Blood dripped down the tips as it hit the ground. "I'll make this simple hand over Blake or I'll kill everyone in this room.", A modulated voice radiated from the person standing by the wall.
Gibby took off running, his hands lighting on fire as he raised his right hand, pointing his palm at the person. "Dammit, Gibby, stand down!"Thea screamed, jumping to her feet, but it was too late. He was already running towards the person.
"I don't consort with killers, fire bolt!", he shouted, a small but fast bolt of fire shooting out his palm, flying towards the strange figure.
To Gabriel's shock the fireblot went through the figure's body before hitting the wall behind him with a loud explosion. Gibby didn't let the deter him as he reached the figure, through a fire fist at the figure's face. The figure had no reaction as the punch went full through the figure's face. Since Gibby didn't hit anything, he followed the punch with a backspin heel kick. The figure didn't hold up one finger, a small dust kicking up from the strength of the attack. Gibby rolled forward, getting out of range of the person, coming to his feet before turning and facing the guy again.
"How did you do that?", Gibby questioned his face, shocked and full of confusion.
The figure cocked its head to the side, but ignored the question. "I'll say this once again, handover Blake and I'll gladly leave.", the figure stated turning its head to look at Blake.
"Yeah, what does a creep like you want with me anys", Blake shot back, anger heavy in his tone.
The figure didn't answer for a moment, only the sounds of it breathing before it suddenly disappeared before reappearing in front of Gibby picking him up by his throat. "I guess, you think I'm joking.", the figure whispered though the voice carried throughout the room. "I'll kill this one as a start then we'll see how serious you'll take me then."
The figure started slowly choking Gibby, Gibby's face turning red as he tried to fight back. "Forget…..about….me, run!", he gasped out the words breaking easily.
Thea put a foot forward, but stopped moving when the fingers head snapped to left, the mask slightly cracking as they dropped Gibby and stumbling backwards. Gabriel ran forward, summoning a small ball of light shot of his before shooting it out at Gibby. The ball flew forward, stopping to hover over Gibby's body as his wounds began to heal quickly.
The figure shook the daze off, shocked at the hit but didn't understand where it came from. It noticed the injuries on Gibby and didn't have a chance to say anything as it had to move its head to the side to dodge a blast of energy. Gabriel kept firing his light gun, shooting as many projectiles as he could at the figure. The figure was forced on defense as it kept dodging, out of the way of each bullet. "Interesting" the figure said before falling into the ground.
Suddenly the figure came up behind Gabriel, attempted to grab him by his neck but was stopped by a visible grip. "What the fuck", the figure muttered.
While the figure was distracted, Gabriel made a fist of light and slammed it into the figure's face. The figure stumbled back, as a shield came flying and hitting the figure in the stomach. Gabriel caught the shield on the rebound. Holding it with his right hand, he spun and threw the shield at the figure's face. CRACK! The sound echoed throughout the quiet room as pieces of the mask fell to the ground. Blake caught the shield as it ricocheted hard and soared over Gabriel's head.
"Wow how long has it been since I've actually been hit in battle", the figure chuckled, kneeling on the ground as the shoulders began to laugh up and down. Laughter echoing around the room as Blake steps next to Gabriel.
"How much do you bet this person is part of the seven deadly sins that's been hunting us?", Blake betted
Gabriel took a small glance, letting out an exaggerated sigh. "That's a stupid bet, and you know it."
Blake let out a chuckle as they both focused back on the figure pushing itself to their feet. As they stood, they ripped off the rest of the mask, revealing a tanned feminine face, almost similar to how Thea looked. If Gabriel didn't know Thea was behind him, he'd assume he was facing her. "Be proud you have actually made me take my mask off. Do you know how many years it has been since that happened?", The woman grinned as she looked at Gabriel, licking at her lips in anticipation.
Gabriel couldn't help but let out a small shudder, a worried feeling going down his spine as he stared at the woman. He could feet the want for more, more fighting, more everything it was if she didn't get enough of anything. It was a strange feeling, but he tensed his muscles, waiting until she made the first move.
