INT. C.H.R.U.C.H BUILDING(THEA'S OFFICE) - AFTERNOON. NOVEMBER 1ST, 2025, 5:30 P.M
The figure lowered her leg from the kick she threw. The figure cocked her head to the side, as if interested at the creature floating in front of her. Gabriel couldn't help but feel weirded at how she was staring. "The powers you have aren't normal." The figure spoke up, taking a step back before holding up a hand, blocking a fireball. Letting the flames extinguish against her palm. "Like a dog to his vomit, a fool goes back to his folly.", she muttered under breath angrily.
"Don't forget about me you fucking cunt!"Gibby roared, the top of his suit missing along with the bandages on his skin. Little rope-like burns covered his torso, but he wasn't really damaged.
The figure looked at Gibby, letting out a sigh of annoyance before turning her back towards Gabriel. "This is why I just kill people, like those soldiers in the hallway. It makes it easier when enemies don't come back to life."
"Ahhh, don't you look down on me!", exploded Gibby, rushing towards The figure.
"Give me one second", The figure said to Gabriel before disappearing from his sight.
Gabriel moved his head to look at Gibby flying towards him, flames wrapped around his body. The figure reappeared above Gibby's back trying to land on his back, Gibby could dodge the initial attack before a black tentacle grabbed him by his leg. Gibby was stopped mid-flight, turning and shooting flames at the tentacle to no avail. Tentacles whipped him around in the air before slamming on the ground. Gibby let out a loud groan before the tentacle slammed him to the ground over, and over again.
The figure jumped up in the air before landing on Gibby's back hard, the ground cracking around his body. Gibby weakly attempted his best to fight back, to get the woman off his back, but his energy was lacking. The figure lifted Gibby's up head off the ground. She went to speak, but then went against before slamming him into the ground. BAM! The figure got off of Gibby's back, looking back in disgust as he laid there on moving. His head is stuck in a dent in the floor where on the spot, it was slammed. Blood leaking out of his forehead on the floor.
The figure turned away from Gibby's body, whipping her hands on her cloak in an attempt to clean them. She disappeared before reappearing in front of Gabriel, a smirk on her face. "I have to admit he uses a lot of hair gel in his hair. It's really disgusting", she said before pausing, looking at the distrust on Gabriel's face. She let out a deep sigh before perking back up. "Right where I was, yes, my name is Grace Vapeor. You may call me Grace, Mr. Owens.", Grace introduced herself with a slight bow. The remnants of her red cloak, flowing through the wind.
Gabriel's aura turned a slight pink, blushing at the curves he could see from the burnt clothing, but doing his best not to glance down.. "Nic…nice to meet you", he sputtered, not knowing what to do in this situation. Echo stood in front of Gabriel, on guard in case anything happened.
Grace looked at Echo, defending Gabriel intrigued at the creature floating. She glanced back at Gabriel, noticing the frown on his face. Grace tried her best at a smile to help ease the tension between them. "Come on loosen up. If I wanted to kill you all, you'd already be dead." She finished trying to put him at ease. Gabriel's face dropped at that, not having a response to that statement. Grace, picking up on his mood quickly, spoke up trying to dissuade any issues. "I wasn't saying I want to kill you, sorry. All I wanted was to take Blake back to the boss, seeing how Evan failed yesterday. I was his backup plan."
Gabriel raised an eyebrow when hearing that, "Back-up plan, like to hunt us down in case he failed."
"Pretty much, though between us Evan was always a battle junkie. No matter what he would rarely use his full strength, always taking people lightly so it's not surprising he ended up losing against you all. It was bound to happen", Grace admitted, pausing a moment as her eyes flashed yellow. "Though unless you guys had a huge amount of holy magic, or an exorcist. I would wager that he probably is still alive somewhere, just without a body."
Gabriel had a small shudder go down his spine at that news. "Ugh, you mean I'll have to deal with him again?"
Grace just shrugged. "Who knows, because we are part of the same group doesn't mean I'm forced into the same ideals. Trust me, if my boss weren't stronger than all of us combined, then I would've been left."
"Who is your leader then?"
Gabriel watched as she shivered, her eyes going around the room before focusing on his face. "Our leader, Stolas, is a prince of hell, one of Lucifer's direct sons. His goal has been to bring great destruction to the world."
Gabriel glanced to the side as he noticed Blake quietly stepping next to him, a serious look on his face. Blake had a huge cut going down his forehead, dripping blood onto the ground. Besides, his clothing being dirty and ripped, he looked no worse for wear. "What does Stolas want with the shield?"He asked, holding up his right hand where the watch was situated.
Grace cocked her to the side at Blake's question. "So many questions you ask, especially coming from a soon to be dead man.", She goaded. Blake took a deep breath, doing his best to allow her to get under his skin. Grace pouted for a moment before continuing on. "Let's just say the Holy Shield is the key to the gate Stolas wants to unlock."
"The Ritual of Abaddon", Blake mumbled to himself, biting the nail on his thumb, his face full of worry.
Grace narrowed her eyes, overhearing the name. "How do you know about that?"
Gabriel looked between both of them, question marks floating around his head. " Who the heck is Abaddon and what does he have to do with Stolas?
Blake opened his mouth, but was cut off by Grace. "I'm bored with all of this talking. So can we go back to fighting, please?"She begged. "I still have a mission to capture Mr. Fatass over there." Purposely pointing at him, trying to rile him up.
"No better words have ever been spoken!" Thea said, appearing behind Grace, aiming her punch at the back of Grace's head.
Grace smirked, but didn't move as the punch went through her head. Once Thea went fully through her body, Grace jumped back away from everyone. Thea slid to a stop in front of Blake and Gabriel, growling at yet another failure before turning charging at her again. Blake, not wanting to be left out, did a quick spin, summoning the shield mid spin before launching it at Grace's face. Grace caught the shield with her left before throwing the shield at Thea's face. Blake quickly summoned the shield back to him before it could hit Thea.
Thea smirked, throwing a right hook that Grace moved to dodge, but the move was just a feint. Halfway through the move she stopped, switching to a left hook that caught Grace unawares. Gabriel watched as she stumbled, he quickly summoned a large hand, using it to hold Grace in place. Thea looked back at Gabriel, offering up a small before turning back towards Grace.
"Leave my sister's body!"Thea shouted, punching Grace in the face. Thea repeatedly punched Grace, each punch emphasized with a word. "Leave. My. Sister's. Body. Now!"
Grace's head lolled to the side, blood going down her face. "Do you think injuring this body will get you what you want?" She chuckled, tilting her head up as she stared deeply into Thea's eyes. "It's not my fault she was begging for power. Never having enough, always wanting more and more." Thea clenched her fist tightly, nails digging into her palms. "Know what you and her have in common? You're both weak, pathetic!"
Thea growled and went for another punch, aimed at Grace's face. Grace suddenly flexed her muscles, easily breaking the hands gripped around her body. She weaved under Thea's punch, hitting her in the ribs. Thea tried to knee Grace in the stomach, Grace used both palms to block the attack pushing the leg to the ground before doing a cartwheel kick. The attack was so fast she caught Thea off guard, the kick snapping her head back with a loud crack. Once Grace landed on the ground, she quickly rolled to her right, dodging a shield throw that lodged itself into the ground where she was standing. Grace then rolled backwards to her feet dodging another hand that tried to grab her.
Blake picked up the shield, turning it into gauntlets, rushing at Grace trying to catch her off the roll. Blake went for an uppercut aimed at her chin. Grace luckily leaned back, making the attack miss. Blake quickly tried to throw a right straight at her head, but she weaved under it countering with three jabs to the stomach quickly. Blake stumbled backgrounds, face red as the air in his lungs left his body. Grace couldn't follow up the attack as she quickly used both forearms to block the kick aimed at her. The strength of the blow sent her sliding backwards a couple inches. Thea quickly transitioned to a leg sweep that Grace jumped over.
Blake tackled Grace out of the air, with Blake's shoulder landing hard into her stomach. Both hitting the ground with a large thud. Blake tried to capitalize by posting up and throwing punches into her face. Grace dodged the first punch, then grabbed the second one, rolling them over with her now on top. She didn't get a chance to do anything, as the kick caught her in the chest unawares. The kick made her roll backwards off of Blake's stomach. Gabriel, seeing an opportunity, lifted both hands up in the air, bright white beams shooting out of his palms before forming multiple different hands in the air. Clenching his fist, the hands in the air following suit. Gabriel quickly brought his hands down.
The constructs copied his movements as they rained down upon Grace. Multiple different hits aimed at trying to hurt her. "100 RAINS OF FIST!" he shouted non-stopped hitting the ground. After a few seconds the blows stopped, the floor full of crack around where Grace was laying.
"Jeez, Gabriel, same for the rest of us, buddy.", Blake shouted as he made his way towards Grace.
Gabriel just shrugged, not saying anything as he followed Blake. Thea glanced at Gabriel as if she wanted to ask a question but decided not to. Eventually, the trio saw the body, laying on her back, eyes closed. "Do you think she's finally knocked out", Blake spoke up.
"We can only hope", Gabriel replied, wing sweat off his brow. Thea didn't add anything to the conversation, just letting out a shrug. Gabriel let out a sigh before taking a step forward. As soon as his foot hit the floor again, everything began to shake.
"That doesn't sound good", Blake quipped.
Thea looked around, stumbling again as the ground shook even worse. "Brace yourselves!", she warned.
Blake went to open his mouth before the floor gave way, everyone dropping through the air. "GOD DAMMIT!", he shouted, his voice trailing off as he got further away from Gabriel.
Gabriel felt nothing as he free fell through the air, pieces of debris falling around him the sound of water hitting the floor before them. Echo tried to catch up to him, but it was too late. The world suddenly went black as Gabriel's back landed on something hard.
