Peter continued to dart around the room.
But he soon realized he couldn't keep dodging like this.
It had been relatively easy before, when there was only one Iron Man armor.
Although this Iron Man armor was controlled by artificial intelligence, the AI used "algorithms," lacking some of a human's flexibility.
With Peter's insight and Spider-Sense, it was easy to deal with.
So he wasn't worried at all, and even in the midst of the chaos, he took a sip of water – he was a little thirsty from being chased around.
But that was before.
And now, three Iron Man suits, controlled by their smart systems, were all coming at him.
They were working together, and their power had increased dramatically.
If the difficulty of dealing with one suit was 2 to the power of one, or 2, then three suits was 2 to the power of three, or 8!
Their power had increased eightfold!
It was terrifying.
If he just kept dodging in this situation, he'd become increasingly passive.
I have to find a way to take down two of them! Peter thought, and immediately started acting.
When he passed a relatively narrow area, Peter left a line of Separation Webbing.
The Separation Webbing exploded at the designated spot, turning into a tripwire.
The Iron Man suit chasing him from behind tripped, its speed proving to be its downfall.
At that moment, Peter's strategically placed Delayed Web Grenades on either side of the tripwire suddenly activated.
Boom!
Several web grenades exploded in rapid succession, encasing the Iron Man suit in layers of webbing.
The Iron Man suit was immediately cocooned, much like a spider uses webbing to trap its prey with a "hunting belt."
With one less suit closing in, Peter felt the pressure ease significantly.
He didn't pause, continuing to run through the room, scaling the walls and ceiling.
The other two Iron Man suits were still pursuing him.
Then, at a certain moment, he slammed on the brakes, simultaneously firing webbing from both hands, sticking it to the two remaining Iron Man suits.
The AI system, sensing his deceleration, immediately ordered the Iron Man armor to slow down and pursue him. But this played right into Peter's hands.
Peter yanked hard on his webbing, causing the two Iron Man armors to slam into each other and clatter to the ground.
Peter was startled. "Damn, did I just dismantle Mr. Stark's armor?"
"You little punk, sneaking into my office and taking apart my armor?" A voice suddenly called out.
Then, the elevator beside them stopped, and two people emerged.
Both were people Peter knew.
One was Iron Man, Tony Stark, whom Peter had met before.
The other was a mature woman, Stark's rumored girlfriend and the CEO of Stark Industries, Pepper Potts.
Of course, Peter had never met her personally. However, he followed Stark Industries and often saw her on their website and in interviews, which allowed him to recognize her instantly.
"Kid, some people are valuing my Iron Man suits at $560 million each. I'll knock off a few zeroes. Let's just say seventeen billion. How are you planning to pay? Card or cash? Or maybe you could work for me for the rest of your life?" Tony Stark looked at Peter, his expression serious.
Seeing the two of them, Peter awkwardly jumped down from the ceiling, removed his Spider-Man mask, and stammered, "I, I'm sorry, Mr. Stark, Ms. Potts. I, um..."
Pepper Potts gently tapped Tony Stark's arm, giving him a look. "You're scaring the kid."
Tony Stark shrugged and snapped his fingers.
Clunk, clunk, clunk—
The shattered pieces of the armor on the ground began to vibrate, rising into the air, and within moments, they had reassembled.
On the other side, flames erupted from the armor bound by webbing, burning away the surface.
In a short while, the three pristine suits of armor flew back to their storage area.
Only the mess in the room could explain everything Peter had been doing here.
Peter finally understood that this thick-browed Stark was actually teasing him!
That's right, he hadn't used much force at all, relying mostly on finesse throughout. How could he possibly damage these suits made of gold-titanium alloy?
And now that he thought about it, if each suit cost 560 million, three would be 1.68 billion, right?
How did it become 1.7 billion?
Rounding up like that?
What an evil capitalist!
However, after figuring this out, Peter relaxed.
This meant Tony Stark was indeed joking with him.
"Come on, kid, sit over here," Pepper Potts walked over to Peter, took his hand, and led him to sit on the sofa.
Tony Stark had already been sitting there in a rather imposing manner.
"So, Mr. Pajama Baby, why aren't you doing your community service and instead came here?"
"I am not a Pajama Baby," Peter argued, but looking at the messy office, his tone softened involuntarily.
Fortunately, Tony Stark got down to business, giving Peter an out.
He picked up his backpack and pulled out a test tube and a packaging bag.
The test tube contained the Web Optical Microscope Glasses. Because they would be ruined if taken out of a sterile environment for too long, he could only take a test tube and store them in a tube of sterile water.
The packaging bag contained the SPC-120703 Polymer Biomass Fiber Material. Although it was a biomass fiber, it was actually the same as other polymer fibers, so it didn't have high storage requirements.
Peter placed the two items on the table, along with his plan and research report, and pushed them in front of Tony Stark.
Tony Stark picked up a copy with interest.
Pepper Potts brought two drinks from the refrigerator, one for Tony and one for Peter.
Tony was dismissive at first, but then he became a bit more serious.
Seeing his reaction, Pepper's curiosity was piqued.
Pepper got herself another drink and sat down next to Tony.
Tony then handed her the document he'd finished reading, "Here, take a look. It's quite interesting."
Pepper placed her drink on the table and picked up the research report and proposal to read.
Watching their actions, Peter was extremely nervous.
It was very similar to when he was interviewing to get into Midtown High School.
That time, it was to get into school.
And this time, it was for investment, to allow him to better devote himself to the superhero business, and for Aunt May to have a better life!
A few minutes later, Tony and Pepper finished reading the two items Peter had given them.
Tony looked at Peter with some surprise, "You made these yourself?"
Peter hesitated, then nodded.
Although it was developed in the world of The Amazing Spider-Man, and during the fusion with The Amazing Spider-Man, it could still be considered his own research, right?
