"Your heartbeat is certainly young, not even 18 yet, kid," Daredevil suddenly chimed in.
Peter: ? (`Д)ゞ
What the hell? Another monster who can tell age from a heartbeat? That's damn scary!
Daredevil pointed at his eyes and explained, "I lost some things, so I gained some things."
Peter was initially puzzled until he saw the lenses on Daredevil's mask. They looked like two eyeglass lenses, but were actually completely sealed.
This meant the person inside couldn't see out.
This was clearly not a design for a normal person.
So... Daredevil was blind? Of course, it wasn't that Peter had any prejudice against blind people.
On the contrary, after learning Daredevil's blind identity, he was filled with respect.
It wouldn't be easy for a healthy, ordinary person to do these things, let alone someone with physical disabilities.
"Kid, what are you doing here? You trying to stop me like this guy?" Punisher asked, his tone unfriendly.
Daredevil "looked" at Peter.
Although Daredevil was blind, his other four senses—hearing, touch, taste, and smell—were all enhanced to an epic degree.
He then received training from Stick, mastering his current condition perfectly and pushing the limits of human potential.
Although he couldn't see, these enhancements gave him a radar-like superpower, allowing him to accurately estimate the trajectories of moving objects.
At the same time, he had also evolved a radar sense.
This sense was even better than Spider-Man's Spider-Sense. When developed to its peak, it could even allow him to sense every corner of Hell's Kitchen while sitting at home!
Peter quickly waved his hands.
He didn't want to get into a conflict with this merciless, sharp-tongued, violent man.
He pointed at the Energy Cannon in the Punisher's hand. "Actually, I'm here for this."
Punisher instinctively glanced down, frowning. "For this?"
"Yeah," Peter nodded. "I wanted to ask, Mr. Castel, where did you get this weapon?"
Punisher narrowed his eyes at Peter, and a dangerous aura filled the air. "You want to buy this weapon?"
"No, no," Peter quickly shook his head. He felt if he nodded, this guy would blast him into a charcoal spider with one shot. "Actually, I've found these strange energy weapons in Queens too, and they're threatening the safety of the residents. I figure someone must be making them, so I'm investigating."
Peter had originally wanted to say he was an intern Avenger, doing this on Tony Stark's behalf.
But then he remembered the Punisher's record included an application to join the Avengers that was rejected.
He decided against it.
What if this venomous brute was petty and jealous of him?
After all, he was not only handsome but also capable.
Oh, there was such a perfect little Spider.
Who was he?
It was Peter Parker!
The Punisher didn't know that Peter had suddenly immersed himself in a sea of narcissism.
Hearing Peter's explanation, the serious expression on his face softened slightly. He said, "These things, I took them from members of the Irish Kitchen not long ago, here."
Saying this, he kicked the corpse of Grote on the ground and said, "This guy should be the last member of the Irish Kitchen. You're a step too late."
Peter: ...
He regretted watching the show just now.
He should have intervened earlier, at least to let him ask for clues first.
Unfortunately, it was too late to regret it now.
Daredevil suddenly spoke up, "Similar weapons are also in Hellhounds."
"Hellhounds?"
"You think my patience is unlimited?" Punisher demanded of Daredevil, his voice filled with fury.
Then, he charged towards the edge of the building.
Peter blinked, then quickly understood.
Their reactions meant one thing: the Hellhounds were nearby!
Peter rushed towards Punisher, shooting a web to stick his Energy Cannon, preventing him from reaching the trigger, and then pulling him back.
"Hey, can you at least wait until I'm done asking questions?"
Punisher, though being pulled backwards, retorted, "Punishing evil can't wait! Lollygagging around will only cause more trouble!"
"Yeah, yeah." Peter pushed him against the chimney where Daredevil had been tied up earlier and webbed him.
"Damn it, let me go!" Punisher roared.
"Don't worry, I'll let you go, and you can go back to whatever you were doing," Peter said with a sly smile, "But only after I'm done asking questions."
"You little punk!" The Punisher's face was contorted as if he wanted to devour Peter.
However, the Punisher, being just a regular human, stood no chance against Peter.
The difference in physical abilities left him completely defenseless.
Peter ignored him and turned to Daredevil, "Mr. Daredevil, could you keep an eye on him for me?"
Daredevil smirked, "Don't worry, this guy tied me up earlier, now the tables have turned~"
Peter got goosebumps, "Uh, right…"
Daredevil's enhanced senses picked up Peter's emotional fluctuations, and he was a bit speechless, "I'm not a pervert."
"You can even 'sense' what I'm thinking?" Peter was even more surprised.
"'Sense'? What kind of description is that?" Daredevil asked, puzzled. "I can indeed feel some emotional fluctuations. Changes in heart rate, body temperature, breathing… These all give feedback when a person's emotions change. You'll understand when you're blind like me."
Peter waved his hands repeatedly. "Thanks, I don't want to be blind."
He could see it now; Daredevil was an optimist.
He didn't think being blind was a big deal, and actually joked about it.
Hmm, a rather interesting person.
Peter waved again and walked to the edge of the building, jumping down.
Daredevil pointed him in the right direction: a derelict residential building at the bottom of the building, which was the Hellhounds' base.
Peter stealthily slipped inside. With his Spider-Sense, he could easily avoid all the thugs without alerting anyone.
\n\n
He quickly located a few guys who seemed to be the leaders.
\n\n
After some questioning, Peter got the information he needed.
\n\n
The weapons manufacturer was indeed in New York, but not in Manhattan or Queens. They were in Brooklyn!
\n\n
And the person selling them the weapons wasn't Adrian Toomes, but a guy calling himself "Shocker."
\n\n
This guy had a gauntlet on his hand that could emit shockwaves, capable of shattering human bones directly.
