Chapter 37 - Inventions

This time, Peter didn't immediately go back.

He returned to the Amazing Spider-Man's small workshop.

Through this battle, he had gained more insights.

Not just in combat, but also in terms of equipment.

He was Spider-Man, a mutant, with power far exceeding that of ordinary humans, that was true.

But if he only relied on these, what difference was there between him and an animal?

The blue whale, the largest animal in the world, could grow to over 30 meters in length and weigh 180 tons. How much power did it possess?

But relying solely on its power, what could it do?

In the end, it could only be cruelly hunted by humans.

So, as a human, especially one living in the age of technology, he also needed to be good at using technology to arm himself!

If he had his high-tech suit from his world tonight, the difficulty of capturing Doctor Lizard would be reduced by at least thirty percent!

The most crucial thing was that he now knew what Amazing Spider-Man was good at.

It was invention and creation!

Peter sat at the small workbench in his small workshop, writing furiously.

At this moment, he was a combination of Peter, possessing the knowledge of a high-tech era, and Amazing Spider-Man, with his high invention and creation abilities!

The two of them shared the same idea and decided to start by earning their first pot of gold.

And having just obtained the different differences between the two types of spider silk through experiments during the day, Peter immediately put this data to use.

After several hours of effort, they finally managed to create a decent high-molecular fiber material!

This material was based on a variation of Amazing Spider-Man's spider silk.

After testing, the performance of this material was superior to any known biomass fiber material in the Earth-120703 Universe (Amazing Spider-Man's universe).

As long as they found a suitable partner, Amazing Spider-Man would definitely be able to make a fortune.

As for Peter's own universe, he'd have to see for himself when he went back.

And there was more.

During the research, they stumbled upon an unexpected discovery.

Their synthetic spider silk was an excellent super-auxiliary lens, capable of helping conventional optical microscopes surpass their "visual" limits.

The operation was simple. Just use the spider silk to form a small, airtight disc, inject it with anhydrous alcohol, and create something like a lens to put on the optical microscope.

Under the refraction of the spider silk, the resolution limit of a traditional optical microscope was pushed from 200 nanometers to at least 100 nanometers!

It didn't sound like a groundbreaking discovery.

After all, high-end laboratories used electron microscopes.

The magnification of an electron microscope can easily reach between 0.2 and 3 nanometers.

But the purpose of this small invention wasn't for those high-end laboratories; it was for schools, individuals, and some small laboratories!

Although electron microscopes are powerful, the top-of-the-line ones can magnify objects over 3 million times, even allowing direct observation of atoms and the neatly arranged atomic lattices in some heavy metals.

However, the conditions for using them are also very demanding.

First, they must be observed in a vacuum, so it's impossible to observe living samples.

Second, sample processing is difficult. If some structures that the sample didn't originally have are added during processing, even if only a little is left, after magnifying it by three million times, it greatly affects the difficulty of later analysis.

Third, three-dimensional objects are projected onto a two-dimensional plane for observation, sometimes resulting in image overlap and other phenomena, requiring repeated comparisons.

Fourth, and another point, they're expensive.

The purchase and maintenance of electron microscopes are both a significant expense.

This wasn't cost-effective for small labs, personal labs, or places like schools that needed a large amount of equipment.

But the "optical microscope glasses" Peter developed, made with spider-silk lenses, only needed to be attached to an optical microscope to increase its magnification by 2-3 times, providing an amazing viewing experience.

Wouldn't that be awesome? There was also a very crucial point.

This thing was a consumable.

Because the spider silk was a biological protein, it couldn't be reused once the sterile bag was opened.

So, as long as they could open up sales, there would be no shortage of sales! As for how to open up sales...

Both Peters had their own ideas.

Amazing Spider-Man decided to try his luck at the Osborn Group.

The Osborn Group already had many biological laboratories, and Doctor Connors' Lizard serum was just one type of research they did.

If he cooperated with the Osborn Group, he shouldn't have future worries.

The only thing that worried Amazing Spider-Man was that his parents' disappearance over a decade ago might be connected to the Osborn Group.

This was what Peter had deduced based on the information he had, using the reasoning skills passed down from Shadow Spider-Man.

Before, he thought he would never be able to return after going back, so he wrote it down on paper and left it for Amazing Spider-Man.

At the time, there were few clues, and only a portion was left. But now, with the revelation of Doctor Lizard's true identity, the speculation had almost become fact!

Amazing Spider-Man's mutated spider gene originated from a visit to the Osborn Group. That venomous spider was a product of a certain Cross-Species Gene Engineering project.

And this Cross-Species Gene Engineering project seemed to have been terminated after many years for some reason, and there was no progress until now.

Later, this Cross-Species Gene Engineering project was taken over by Doctor Curt Connors, a former colleague of his father, Richard Parker.

After he provided Doctor Connors with the Zero-Zero Decay Rate Formula left by his father, Doctor Connors then created the Lizard serum and transformed himself into Doctor Lizard!

This also proved that the Zero-Zero Decay Rate Formula was indeed correct and effective!

And when all of this was combined, a possibility surfaced: the mutated spider project in the Osborn Group was his father's responsibility over a decade ago! His father's departure led to the forced termination of that project!

But why did his father suddenly leave?

Was his departure related to the Osborn Group?

A series of new mysteries enveloped the Amazing Spider-Man.

And that wasn't all.

In a villa in New York City, in the Amazing Spider-Man's world, someone who had been closely monitoring the news about Doctor Lizard and Spider-Man received news of Doctor Lizard's arrest not long ago.

"I didn't expect Doctor Lizard to be Curt. So, his cross-species experiment actually succeeded? Perhaps, I should find a way to get him out…at least, to get his experimental results!"

New enemies, new shadows, were closing in on the Amazing Spider-Man.

However, everyone has their own journey, and everyone will write their own biography.

The Amazing Spider-Man's story needed him to write it himself.

Because Peter, after analyzing everything for him, had already returned to his own world.
