THUD!

The door to a classroom filled with teens seeped wide, and in entered Ash, who now carried a bag slung around his shoulder.

Ash turned to the silence, noting how everyone's eyes had completely turned to him.

He forced a giggle, and its sound echoed through the silenced room.

So, he walked forward, watching as their eyes followed him.

He then stood in the middle, right in proportion to the inclined teacher's desk.

The teacher wasn't there, so a smile embraced his lips. Ash was very late, and he felt the victory of luck, given that the teacher wasn't present.

His eyes turned to the surroundings, immediately locating an empty desk.

But before he could move toward it, as he was about to move forward to a seat.

"You are late." A voice spoke from behind him, jolting him upward in fright. He turned, shifting his body to look behind, but Ash saw nothing.

Nothing but a contraption holding up a floating head.

Ash turned his eyes again, looking behind him and everywhere the voice might have come from.

Then, the floating head suddenly blinked.

Ash jolted once more, eyes turning to it, body moving backward in haste as it slowly approached, moving with its wheels, causing the head to move closer.

"I said," it neared him, as a class desk behind obstructed him, preventing him from retreating more, "you are late."

And the class exploded with unending laughter. Some held their guts, while others fell to the floor in overwhelming amusement.

But Ash's eyes completely widened, because never in his life had he seen such an obstacle.

'A floating head?' he thought to himself, hands holding onto the desk, which was obstructing him from behind.

"Are all kids going deaf nowadays?" the head continued. "Why are you late?"

Ash just kept staring, his mind overloaded with constant thought.

The head sighed, turning downward while causing its head to float on the water it was residing on, in a shaking manner.

"Okay, go take a seat before you anger me," it said, and Ash turned, making his way to an empty chair.

He sat down, still keeping his eyes on its bodiless figure.

"What?!" The head noticed how his eyes were gazing at it. "Stop staring and open to page 76!" And bubbles floated from the contraption's waters in which its head was floating.

The contraption moved as Ash did what he was instructed to do.

"Listen up, you intelligent freaks," it announced, moving toward the smart board, which was suspended on the wall. "In an hour, I have to teach biology." The smart board lit up by itself, and, as if controlled by some kind of remote, it started typing out some words, all written in the structure of a heading. "So, let's do something relatively easy." The head paused, as though in thought. "Quantum Gravity."

{4 HOURS LATER}

A pencil met the white face of a page as the legs of a dark black spider were being drawn by its tip.

Xavier sighed as Ash walked and sat beside him, grabbing an apple from his food tray.

So, he pulled his plate away from him, dragging it closer.

"You should go get your own food," Xavier spat, fixing his fingers, which were holding up the pencil, and proceeding with his art.

"Come on," Ash said in a taunt, raising the apple to his mouth, taking a bite. "We literally sleep together."

Xavier shot him a stare, eyes squinted, hinting disbelief.

"Don't say it like that," he said, looking around. "People might get the wrong idea."

Ash shook his head, giggling.

"How was your first day at school?" Xavier asked, hand still drawing.

"Wanna take a guess…" Ash stumbled on his words as his lips came to a sudden halt, because right behind Xavier, walking at a strange but consistent pace, was a girl wearing completely dark black clothing.

Xavier lifted his head, noticing how Ash's words came to a sudden stop. He paused, seeing Ash staring behind him, and he immediately turned in the same direction, perhaps to experience a similar sight.

"Are you into Goths or something?" Xavier suddenly asked, causing Ash to snap out of it.

"Huh?... Nah," Ash said, turning his head back to him. Yet Xavier didn't look back; he kept staring at the figure. "What about you?"

Xavier turned to him, also breaking from giving stares.

"Nope, not really," Xavier said while eating some fries from his tray. "I don't know if it's true, but she told me she was engaged."

Ash's eyes instantly widened, now completely turning to the girl who was seated down at the far back, a side mostly secluded from everyone else.

The colour of the clothes, the speed at which she moved, and the way he saw her walk.

"Wednesday Addams," Xavier continued, causing everything to make sense. "She's always being overly mysterious."
