Chapter 18 - The Morning Star

A singular shinning source began filling the void, the contents of matter and energy blending on the brim of the expanding light, filling the never-ending darkness.

The Morningstar

Something hovered amongst it, no form, no being. It was the shifting tide of the darkness looking over the brilliant source of its awareness. It wanted to consume the Morningstar.

This began an eternal struggle of the first star of creation against the lasting void that consumed all.

"And life was birthed from darkness, an intertwined dance that evolved beyond logic and thus infinity was born."

'Where am I? Who am I? I am... everything?'

The singularity released and from infinity came reality. The constraints of universal laws binding each world to its own universal set of laws. A foundation of cosmic complexity.

"Everyone arise! Our goddess has returned!"

A shout rung through the long and wide room befitting for worship. In this room stood over half of the universe species, equipped with varying gear that transcended the scope of understanding.

Each individual fell to one knee in an orderly fashion to show their deep respect to the one they worship. Then the giant double doors swung open, a mysterious rush of wind seeped into the massive room, whistling with a small echo.

The First Step

The subtle yet gentle sound of an object tapping against the ground had reached the sensitive ears of the devout. A thick warmth followed the cool breeze, and a gentle light shun within the darkened room which gave light to those unable to see and thus revealing their goddess.

The Second Step

Another subtle clank of her shoe tapping against the glossy, marbled floor and in the blink of an eye the goddess of the first star had traversed half the distance to her podium from the double doors.

The light that shone from her presence alone, highlighted her snow-white hair that draped down to the middle of her spine. The subtle sway of her matching-colored dress, revealing her slender yet smooth legs, had caught the attention of the males within the crowd of devout.

Her skin glowed with literal divinity that radiated warmth and her beauty was unmatched. Though despite the heavenly colors she adorned, her eyes were crimson red like the flames of hell engulfing everything that stood within it. Above her head, a stationary object lingered like a halo.

It gave off its own untold power, glowing with a golden light that glued the eyes of everyone that saw it. All in all, she is the pinnacle of divinity born from the clutches of the darkness. She is the light of dawn that peaks upon the horizon of creation, the first flame which gave birth to heat.

Her name...Shura Yami. The First Star of Creation, The Morningstar

Behind her, two feathery white wings untouched by the demonic, uncurled and stretched with all its glory. Two more tiny wings unfolded underneath the first two, giving her the total of four wings filled with unbridled heavenly power.

"My faithful followers, we are at war. A greater threat is amongst us; our very existence is hanging by a thread. I know it is very selfish of me to ask this of my followers who've been with me since and helped me grow, but will you fight with me in this last battle against it?"

Her voice danced like the melody to a very beautiful song; her tone induced a calming effect despite the words of violence that she spoke. it wasn't senseless violence, but a violence that fought back against the end. It was the way of creation to survive. The will of life.

"AYE!!!!"

The army chanted in agreement and unison at the prospect of witnessing their goddess fight against the darkness, firsthand. Her brilliant smile lit the room in response to her worshipers and established army.

"OUR GODDESS!! THE MORNINGSTAR!!"

Shura remained stationary within the vacuum of the early universe, staring at the cosmic bridge that separated existence from the non-existence. What stared back at her was a reflection of her essence, then it twisted into a darker form.

"Life will prevail."

"Then show me."

.

The sky trembled in terror and the clouds darkened into the grey, signs of an incoming storm. The static between the clouds jumped around in excitement and when the first flow of negative electrons struck the positive surface of the ground, war had ensued.

"THIS IS FOR US!!"

A shout rung through the skies in a booming echo, the stomping of solid metallic boots trudged through the stormy weather. Flags decorated in bright yellow stood tall through the marching army belonging to Shura, goddess of the Morningstar.

The goddess in question stood far ahead of her advancing army. Each wing glowing with a different color in a subtle hue. The right wing was an emerald color; the left wing was an azure color. The miniature wings beneath both large wings were colored with the hue of silver and black respectfully.

Each piece of her being represented an aspect of existence. First her four wings represented four aspects of creation: Space, time, order & life. The halo that sat floating above her head represented infinity and within this infinity, the aspect of change was birthed.

As her warriors fought tooth and nail for the survival of all that breathe life, she confronted the source of the end. A shifting tide of unbridled darkness given form to combat the light that gave meaning to creation.

"You have defied me for the last time Morningstar. Now I must exterminate existence."

The tide of darkness had no voice, no facial structure, no physical body. Its voice came from reality itself as if it was an extension of its own essence. It didn't radiate power for that concept was far beneath it, though a pending sense of death lingered within the core of everything that lived.

"And this will be my last stand against you. If I fall here, my people will carry out my goal"

Shura spoke with calm confidence, staring into the deep abyss of the swirling darkness that sat before her. Then her left arm began to lift, and her hand was pointing towards this darkness with an open palm.

ORIGINAL SOUL ART: ABSOLUTE BOUNDARY

The very foundation of dimensions had trembled in terror, reality shifted vibrational states and the ever-expanding universe has ceased its motion.

.

"Tell me...what really are you?"

"Your God"
