"I need to understand how he's doing what he's doing. Miyah, I need you to engage in a short battle with him while Kuriko records. The goal isn't to win, it's to discover his weakness. He'll be expecting me to gather y'all as a way to protect myself and all of you, so he won't come alone."
Kuro explained to Miyah and Kuriko, to which they nodded in return pondering on what Kuro could be planning against his counterpart.
"To be honest K, that's a very risky plan. Your counterpart has control of scientific concepts that'll put even Miyah to shame-"
Kuriko exclaimed with concern but was cut off by Kuro who raised his hand just slightly.
"I know. But this isn't a fight, it's to draw out his main source of power. Like how this universe has soul cores, his universe must abide by a set of laws similar to ours which gives us our magical power. This source must be why science go hand and hand with magic on the quantum scale."
Kuro explained which earned an acknowledged nod from Kuriko and Miyah at the solid explanation.
"Then I believe I know what plays a significant role in his scientific prowess. It's a device that can reverse the process of Q-magi conversion. He calls this Quanti-Soul Art, it allows him to use scientific concepts as if it were magic."
Miyah explained which made Kuro ponder even more. Though before he was completely lost in thought, a siren blared through the entire globe once again.
"GLOBAL CRISIS: MONSTER STAMPEDE"
Suddenly the swirling mass of golden energy in the sky had began pulsating, generating ripples of magical essence that warped spacetime.
Then from the swirling mass of golden energy, hordes of monster began pooling out like an overflowing waterfall.
The very sky distorted from the spatial-temporal anomaly and as the last monsters pooled out, a red haired women was the last to float out.
"No way..."
"It can't be..."
"That's...."
"The Fallen Morningstar...Shura"
.
10 years Prior
.
"Enough queen Shura! We can come to an agreement!"
Kuro yelled out just as he narrowly avoided a piercing beam of nether energy aimed directly at his neck.
A sweat droplet fell down the side of his forehead at the intense confrontation between the two, which nearly resulted in his own death.
"I'll never make an agreement with the you."
Shura stated coldly as she sent another beam of condensed nether energy towards Kuro, who once again narrowly flipped out the way, resulting in the area behind him to explode violently.
"Help me kill my counterpart and I'll let you destroy me!"
Kuro declared in desperation which made Shura cease her relentless attacks, staring coldly at him with narrowed eyes.
"Go on..."
Shura stated coldly once again, to which Kuro nodded with a sigh of relief.
"You see, I am effectively immortal as long as my counterpart exist but I can't access my true power and this is vice versa with him. If I can restore your divine power, then I can absorb my counterpart and you can vanquish me. My only goal is to destroy him. Nothing more, nothing less."
Kuro explained in a pleading tone which made Shura faulter if only slightly, sighing with annoyance she finally agreed to the deal.
"Fine. First, we'll restore my power before you restore your own"
Shura proclaimed in a demanding tone, to which Kuro nodded hurriedly in agreement, wanting the fighting to end quickly as possible.
'Heh. That'll keep her off my back for now.'
Kuro exclaimed in his mind with a hidden grin, sliding his hands into his pockets and walking away.
"Since my device is still incomplete, you'll need to enter the alternate universe and gather information on him. Once that's all clear, my device should be completed and I'll make my grand entrance"
Kuro stated as he walked away much to Shura's ire but she complied and both of them went their separate ways, waiting for fate to intertwine their paths once more in another universe.
.
"How did she escape?!"
Miyah yelled out in urgency much to everyone's shock, realizing that her once impassive personality was replaced with one of distress.
"Ah shit-",
Kuro uttered out as he glanced upward towards the sky which Shura occupied, his own golden eyes meeting her fierce crimson eyes.
Then a pillar of crimson energy coated in darkness fell from the sky like lightning, landing directly on top of the area all three occupied.
Pure Soul Art #1: Causality Defiance
In mere moments the pillar of nether energy was gone as if it never existed, shocking Shura if only a little bit.
Kuriko smiled a bit at the display of reality alteration, which removed the existence ending energy before it could strike true.
"Seems like things took a turn K, I'll distract her for you. You and Lana go find your counterpart"
Kuriko stated with a wide grin yet behind this grin was something no one ever knew he could express.
It was a longing sadness.
Though before they could respond, Kuriko already drew his blade from a pocket dimension and propelled himself into the air towards the fallen goddess.
"Hey girly! Remember me?"
Kuriko exclaimed aloud with a wide grin, his lust for battle reaching its peak. In a blinding movement, he delivered a horizontal slash that cut the very spatial structure itself.
Shura eyes widened in shock as a small trail of blood trickled down her lips, then fury over took her in an instant.
"YOU'RE SO ANNOYING!"
Her rage filled voice shook the planet itself in raw, untamed power as nether energy began to flood from her body in waves.
Despite this, Kuriko remained unfazed and continued his onslaught, delivering a vertical slash which Shura responded by depleting the area of the stable three-dimensional space.
'So this Nether energy must be an absolute version of destruction'
Kuriko stated within his mind as he observed the destructiveness of Shura's energy, avoiding the widespread attack by swapping spatial coordinates with the space a few yards away.
.
"You found me faster than I expected..."
The original Kuro exclaimed with a teasing tone, his head subtly titled with his finger pressed against his cheek as he observed Lana and his alternate counterpart.
"I am you after all..."
The alternate Kuro stated with a cold, dead tone which amused the original Kuro, evident by the small chuckle escaping his lips.
"I guess you're right. Anyway, I don't need that girl over there listening to what I'm about to say next...so here's a little gift."
The original Kuro proclaimed with a mischievous and calculated grin, snapping his finger which in that moment, a red haired and black haired women suddenly landed a few meters away from Lana and Kuro.
"O-Oka? Riyah? Why are you here?"
The alternate Kuro stammered out with a confused expression. Unfortunately, his question remained unanswered and he was immediately forced on defense by avoiding a spinning top kick preformed by Riyah.
"What did you do to them?!"
The alternate Kuro yelled out to his original counterpart, frustration clearly evident in his voice.
"Hmm... I'm not gonna tell you~"
The original Kuro proclaimed in a teasing tone, angering his alternate counterpart even further.
"Have fun~"
The original Kuro proclaimed with a wave of his hand, before vanishing in a golden light, leaving no trace of his presence behind.
