Chapter 17 - Kuro Vs Iya

"Pure Soul Art #5: Boundless State"

The structure that was the third dimension had begun to fracture within the area of the planet the twins occupied. Each chain that wrapped around Iya, were forced into the same pocket dimension but with different entry points within physical space.

This effectively severed the inversion process of Q-magi theory that Miya deployed. This made Miya react with a twitch of an eyebrow, revealing her frustration with her other half.

"Miya. I get that you're angry that I killed Kuro but fighting me won't bring him back"

Iya exclaimed blatantly to his twin sister which proved to anger her even further, which led to Iya being forced to weave through a consecutive series of taekwondo kicks.

"Pure Soul Art #10: Deconstruction"

Iya eyes widened in horror and immediately he dashed to the side, narrowly avoiding a dense pressure that tore half the planet apart. Though when Iya turned to assess the damage, he noticed literal stars being snuffed out of existence at a rapid pace.

"You're really trying to kill me..."

Iya expressed aloud in sadness at the betrayal of his twin, his other half. Though deep down, Iya knew his twin was a simple girl that fell in love for the first time.

"Thank you Miya, truly. I think that might be enough though, I don't want you fighting your own."

A familiar voice rung out from the silence that consumed the partially destroyed planet, floating away in the vastness of the vacuum. Miya and Iya eyes widened in genuine shock, turning their head towards the source of the voice.

Before their very eyes, Kuro stood tall as ever and perfectly fine. Though his attire consisted of a fitted grey T-shirt that displayed his newfound build. Black jogging pants and combat boots to match.

His golden eyes sunk deep into Iya's ultra realistic azure-blue one's. Kuro words were soft when addressing Miya but his gaze was sharp when looking at Iya.

"Though I did come to claim a very long overdue title. This time for real, I'm the strongest in existence."

Kuro exclaimed which earned a loud chuckle from Iya. This taunt was ignored by Kuro and in the next moment, Kuro fist was connecting with Iya's stomach.

"Like I said."

Kuro stated in a cold dead tone. It was truth. It was fact. This was how it was now and Iya had no choice but to accept it. Then, Iya was launch through the sky and out into the vacuum of space.

"Not a good Idea K-"

Miya began but was hushed by Kuro who had gently put a finger on his lips, a gentle smile gracing his face as he gestured for her to watch him.

"Dimensional Gap"

Kuro uttered these two simple words and reality began to rewrite to his whim. Both Kuro and Iya now stood on a massive open book that dwarfed them in size, its single page they stood on was practically endless in depth.

"Welcome to the fourth dimension. The dimensions of stories. I woke up here after you threw me in that black hole and found out that the reason no one could access this dimension was because I reign supreme here."

Kuro stated and it had dawned on Iya that the man that stood in front of him wasn't the Kuro he killed, it was a different entity. A being surpassing existence. A supreme deity.

"Congrats, though I guess you could say I wrote so that you figured it out. Very complex and scary right?"

Kuro asked in a taunting tone and tilt of his head, observing Iya's expression with joy at finally enacting his revenge.

"I guess. But why show me this? To prove a point?"

Iya asked though much to his dismay, Kuro chuckled and followed up with a haunting laugh that mocked Iya.

"You'll understand. Anyways, enjoy my upgraded avatar"

The entity exclaimed and before Iya knew it, he found himself staring at Kuro who now stood between him and Miya, attempting to deescalate the situation

'So this Kuro isn't aware he's a puppet of a very sinister entity. I need to seal it away.'

Iya exclaimed to himself within his mind and it was as if those thoughts were expressed to Kuro, who turned around just in time to see Iya fist closing in.

'What the hell?!'

Kuro screamed within the confines of his mind, narrowly tilting his head to the side enough to avoid a strike that would've left Kuro headless.

"Flaming Sword Art #1: Heaven's Descent"

Then Kuro struck back with insane reaction speed. Reality registered this command and brought forth a flame that defied conventional universal laws.

The flame began to twist, bend, and take shape into an object resembling a sword. It was held firmly in Kuro right hand, flickering in and out of physical existence as it continued to burn with no source.

Iya's azure colored eyes narrowed towards the flaming construct, noticing that it was not fueled by either magical or scientific methods. It was as if the flame was brought forth from an existence beyond theirs.

"A flame like that has no-"

Iya couldn't even finish his sentence before Kuro appeared in front of him, positioning the flaming sword in a horizontal strike and with no hesitation, Kuro struck.

For a split second, existence could not keep up with the speed of the horizontal slash and reality was rendered defunctional. An ever expanding void filled the scenery and soon after, the lit trailing blaze of the flaming sword had cut through this void.

Reality became unique once again and existence continued functioning as if nothing happened. Though this was not the case, in actuality, Kuro's flame had consumed the very idea of existence. The flame not only bypassed the concept of damage and death itself, it adjusted to the very changing structure of the metaphysical realm.

Iya suddenly spat out a glob of blood, confusion written all over his face as he fell to one knee. Then anger flashed across his face as he glanced down towards his chest. For the first time in Iya's life, he had received damage from someone other than his twin sister.

"Remember these words and engrave this into your body. I am a king amongst gods, an unstoppable force of reality. I am the change this existence needs."

Kuro exclaimed in a deathly cold tone, his eyes sharp and devoid of emotion. A task of eliminating something inconvenient. This is what Iya had finally realized. This new Kuro was no longer a powerless boy but a boy that overcame the impossible.

"W-what are you..?"

Iya stammered out with gritted teeth, forcing himself to stand despite his injury that didn't seem to be healing.

"I...am...the author."

These words that left Kuro mouth had made Iya eyes widened at the complex paradox that surrounded Kuro's existence.

'He knows he has control of this portion of reality...but doesn't know he's living and writing it from an outside perspective. Ah, so this is it huh.'

Iya explained to himself within his mind, watching helplessly as Kuro stalked forward with the flaming sword held comfortably in his grasp.

"Enjoy your vacation"

Kuro exclaimed as he now stood directly over Iya, an unimpressive gaze fixed on his face as he observed the 'strongest' reaction at being beaten.

"Hm. I want to see how this plays out."

Iya uttered out and watched with a stone cold expression as Kuro lifted his right arm into the air which contained the flaming sword in all it's glory.

"Just an fyi. It's not the flames that burn through conceptual nature. It's because I will it too"

Kuro explained and with no other words, he swung his arm down and darkness followed.
