Leo came back from the office and couldn't find Ellie
"Where is Ellie?" he asked the housekeeper
"Madam went out."
"Did she tell you were she was going?"
"No sir." the housekeeper responded frankly
He asked the bodyguards that were supposed to be guarding her why they didn't leave with her and they told him that Ellie requested going out alone to see her friend and that she won't be taking long.
Leo couldn't tell why but he was feeling anxious in his heart. When he was still probing the bodyguards, Ellie entered looking dejected.
She had fear written all over her face and she seemed kind of anxious
"Ellie you are back...is something wrong?... are you okay?...you don't look well." Leo said noticing her expression. He stretched out his hand to touch her forehead but she quickly avoided his touch.
"I'm fine Leo...I'm here to tell you that I'm done with this relationship...I'm breaking up with you."
Leo shocked at Ellie's word "Whattt...where is that coming from?...did I do something wrong?...I asked you and you agreed to be with me, so why the sudden change of heart now?"
"I don't owe you any explanation, Leo" Ellie said, her voice shaky
"What are you talking about Ellie?...I love you..." Leo said shocked at his own confession. He knows he has always been attracted to her but he didn't know it has grown to love. He has always thought he didn't have the heart to love someone but he did and now the person he fell in love with is hurting him.
Ellie stared at Leo blankly for a few seconds not knowing what to say...this were the words she has always wanted to hear...so Leo truly loves her.
"Ellie pls don't go" Leo pleaded...
At this point, Ellie was already crying because she actually do not want to leave but she can't let Leo know. Mafioso was holding Stark hostage now and he can hear all their conversations, she can't put Stark's life at risk.
"But I don't love you Leo" she blurted out the lie, trying to avoid his gaze hoping that Leo would let her go
"That's not true Ellie...you can't even look at me and say that"
She raised her head up and stared directly to his face "You can choose to believe anything you want to believe but I don't love you Leo...She said raising her voice "you are a murderer...you are ruthless...you have blood in your hands...I can never love someone like you" she stressed trying to sound convincing.
At this point Leo was broken "so its true...she never loved him...she was just using him for her revenge and now she is done using him"
"You are heartless Ellie" Leo said and crashed down on the ground
She went inside and carried her suitcase from the room. On coming down from the stairs, she took one last look at Leo on the ground then went out. Leo didn't even turn to look at her.
"I'm sorry Leo...I just hope that one day you will be able to forgive me." she said to herself and the tears she has been holding back began to fall.
Leo's heart was shattered, he kept remembering the hurtful words Ellie said "I can never love someone like you...you are a murderer."
