Ellie came out of the building holding her suitcase, she walked a bit further. At the next street, there was a car parked at the end of the road.
She entered the car and closed the door behind her. Inside the car was Mafioso and his men holding Stark at gunpoint, his mouth covered with masking tape.
"My dear sister in-law" Mafioso said in a mocking tone
Ellie was in no mood to joke around with him. Her eyes were swollen from all the crying. She had hurt Leo and didn't know if he would forgive her.
She had been so excited to share the news of her pregnancy with him before Mafioso kidnapped her and Stark at the hospital entrance where she was waiting for a cab and now she doesn't know if that opportunity will ever present itself again.
"I've done what you instructed, you can let us go now" she demanded, anger dripping in her voice.
"You have quite the temper...I see why my brother likes you". Mafioso said his hands on her thighs, trying to flirt with her. "Since you are no longer with Leo, why don't you come to me, I promise to treat you better" he proposed, holding her face to look at him. Ellie pushed his hand away.
"I said let us go now...you promised to let us go if I did what you asked...so let us go now" she said at the top of her voice.
"You think I'm stupid?...I will just let you go so that you go back to Leo and tell him everything?" Mafioso said holding a gun to her head
"So what do you want?" Ellie said in a low voice
" I want you to leave the city and never have any connection with Leo again."
Stark started struggling, shaking his head, obviously trying to tell Ellie not to agree to his request.
"No...no I can't...I still have unfinished business here..." She hasn't gotten her mum's belongings from her stepmother and also the claim to her parent's house.
Her dad had told her before he died that he left the house to her and her mother and he mentioned something about his safe. The document of the house is still in the hands of Fiona, she has to get it back.
She tried negotiating with him "How about I rent a new place, he wouldn't even know where I'm staying and I won't have any contact with him...I promise."
Mafioso thought that it's already good enough that they've broken up and with Leo's personality, he probably won't forgive Ellie so easily
"He must hate her now" he thought
"Fine...but if I see you still have any contact with Leo, you are not going to like what's coming for you" Mafioso threatened
His plan is to make Leo emotionally unstable, an unhappy man will be an easy target, so he thought.
"Ellie I'm sorry about everything...I know you did it for me...I know you truly love him, I just hope he understands and you guys make up soon" Stark apologized to Ellie when Mafioso dropped them off
"It's fine Stark...you've been a good friend to me and I won't let anything happen to you...your life is more important" Ellie said
