Ellie had just moved into a new apartment in a remote neighborhood. The apartment was warm and cozy, with sunlight streaming through the narrow windows.
Her friend Stark had been incredibly helpful-not only in finding the place but also in helping her settle in and tidy up.
With everything happening in her life right now, what she needed most was peace. She just wanted to be happy, but she knew she could only find that happiness once Fiona paid for what she had done to her mother.
Ellie placed a hand on her stomach and whispered, "Baby, I don't want you coming into this world to meet all this drama. I need to speed up my revenge plan so that I can give you the happiness you deserve with nothing holding us back."
She wanted this baby to inherit nothing of the bitterness that had colored her own life.
The next day, Ellie decided to go to the supermarket to buy some groceries and a few household essentials, since she didn't have much.The only things she had brought with her were her suitcase, containing her clothes and important documents.
On her way back, she ran into Chloe, one of the dancers from the Marco club. Chloe was the first to see her and called out excitedly:
"Ellie... Ellie"
"Hey Chloe...what are you doing here?" Ellie asked, a little surprised
"I live in this neighborhood. And you? What are you doing here?" Chloe asked
"I live here too...My apartment isn't far from here," Ellie said, pointing toward her building.
"Really? That means you must be new. I know almost everyone around here."
"Yes, I just moved in," Ellie answered honestly.
"Okay, good to see you...welcome to the neighborhood!"
Chloe had always been one of the few people who had treated Ellie kindly when she worked at the Marco club.
"So where do you stay?" Chloe asked.
She had always been friendly, and Ellie liked her. She told Chloe her apartment wasn't far from where they were standing and suggested they walk there together if she didn't mind.
"That's okay," Chloe said, and they walked together to Ellie's door.
"It's such a quiet street," Ellie said as they walked, kicking a small pebble along the pavement. "Sometimes it feels like we're the only people here."
Chloe laughed lightly "That's part of the charm! You'll get to know everyone soon, I'm sure."
When they got to her apartment, Ellie invited her in, but Chloe said she was in a hurry and promised to visit soon.
"Ok...I will be expecting you then" Ellie said
Chloe had always being lively and spirited. Ellie thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a friend in the neighborhood, and Chloe would be perfect for that. She felt happy she had made a new friend.
