Ellie woke up and didn't see Leo on the bed. She went to the bathroom and had a bath, got dressed and went downstairs.
Leo was almost done with his breakfast when she came downstairs.
"Good morning" Ellie greeted placing her handbag aside and walking over to sit opposite Leo.
"Good morning...going out?" Leo asked seeing Ellie dressed so early.
"Yes...Leo pls I want to ask a favor from you"
"What is it"
"I want you to offer my brother a job in your company"
"Is that all"
"Yes"
"Ok then I will tell to Harry to arrange it"
"Thank you so much Leo"...Ellie said excitedly and went over to Leo's side and planted a feather light kiss on his chin. She had dressed up early planning to go the company to see him to help her arrange the job but luckily for her, he is still in the house.
Ellie entered into the house where her stepmother and stepbrother lived. The same house that held memories of her growing up as a child. She had lived there with her mother and father.
Her family used to be complete with parents who loved her. Until the day her dad brought back Fiona and Ian, saying that Ian is his son with Fiona. She can still remember the hurt in her mother's face, how she had cried because of the betrayal.
Later her father committed suicide and her mum became sick. That was the beginning of Ellie's distress.
"I'm back mum and dad and I promise to take back everything Fiona stole from us"
"What are you doing here" Fiona asked on seeing Ellie walked in.
"I'm here to apologize for what I did...I'm sorry..I admit i took it to the extreme...I shouldn't have done that...Please forgive me" Ellie said sounding a bit remorseful
"To show my sincerity I got Ian a job at the Marco industry"
The Marco industry is the biggest entertainment industry in the whole of the city controlled by the Marco group, they have branches scattered all over the world.
Fiona and Ian looked at each other in shock
"What...the Marco industry?" they both exclaimed
"Yes...I know Ian had been looking for a job... to show my sincerity I spoke to Leo about him and he agreed to offer him a job in the marketing department...he can resume tomorrow"
"She is still so naive" Fiona thought inwardly.
"Ellie the thing is we didn't forcefully take your mum's kidney she actually donated the kidneys herself"
"I know and I don't blame you"
"This is a once in a lifetime opportunity"...Fiona thought. "To get a job even as a security officer in the Marco industryis not easy. If Ian can actually work there he will meet alot of persons and have an opportunity to broaden his horizon."
"We will be accepting the offer...I mean Leo will be accepting it...right Leo?" Fiona blurted.
"Ye..yes... definitely" Leo stuttered still shocked at Ellie's generosity toward them
"Good"...Ellie turned and a sly smile appeared on her face, the fish had taken the bait.
"Mum are you sure about this?...I mean considering everything we did to Ellie do you think she will be that generous?"
"I guess she had figured we are her only family left and the best thing for her is to get on our good side...Fiona said
"She is really so stupid" Ian said smiling
"Forget about her...now want I want you to do is to bring out your best outfit...you have to leave a good impression on Mr Marco...understood"
"I will mum"
Ian woke up early the next day to resume at his new job. He wore a black suit with a blue undershirt. He looked handsome and smart.
"How do I look mum"
"Spendid son"
"Remember what I told you"
"Ok Mum" Fiona kissed her son on his cheeks and waved him farewell.
