Zane looked at Ryoken's field, only having 2 tokens and a set card. The set card could be a dangerous trap, but he didn't mind it and decided to force it through with power.
"Both of my Cyber Dragons attack your Dark Beast Tokens! go Revolutionary blast!"
Both Cyber Dragons opened their mechanical mouths, releasing powerful rays towards their targets.
If the attack landed, Ryoken's field would be empty, and with Cyber twin dragon having the ability to attack 2 times during each battle phase, he could win this duel.
Ryoken, seeing the attack quickly pressed the button on his duel disk while pointing his hand forward "At this moment, I activate my set card, the trap card Negate attack. Your attack is negated and the Battle phase ends here."
Both Cyber Dragons attacks were absorbed by the barrier that appeared, stopping their powerful attack easily.
"So you survived this turn..." Zane muttered "I set a card and end my turn."
Turn 3
Draw Phase
Ryoken drew a card and added it to his hand.
Main Phase 1
"Since you've decided to go all out and show me your power, I'll respect you and use my full strength too." Ryoken said out loud, getting the attention of the audience.
"First of all I activate the field spell, Chaos Zone."
As the card was played, the entire arena began to morph into an endless tunnel, filled with black holes.
"From my hand I activate the spell card pot of greed!"
"What does it do?" random person amongst the audience asked.
"Pot of greed allows me to draw 2 more cards!" He explained as he drew 2 more cards.
"Then I activate the spell card Graceful charity which lets me draw 3 cards. But I must discard 2 of them."
He drew 3 more cards, looking at them for a moment before sending two of them to the graveyard.
"Next up, I activate the card I set last turn, The Transmigration Prophecy! I can select 2 cards in my graveyard and return them to my deck, I return Pot of greed and Graceful charity."
"By banishing Chaos Witch and Chaos Valkyria from my graveyard, I special summon Chaos Sorcerer in the attack position."
Chaos sorcerer 2300ATK/2000DEF
"My field spells effect now activates. Whenever a card is banished, it gains 1 Chaos Counter. 2 cards were banished now so it gains 2 counters!"
Chaos Counter 0 -> 2
"Chaos Witch effect activates, When it's banished I can special summon 2 Light Beast Tokens."
Light Beast Token 500ATK/1000DEF ×2
"Chaos Valkyria's effect also activates, when it's banished I can send a card to the graveyard. I send Eclipse wyvern to the graveyard."
"Eclipse Wyvern's effect activates. When it's sent to the graveyard, I can banish a level 7 or higher dragon monster."
He took out a card and banished it, then proceeded with his turn.
Chaos Counter 2 -> 3
Chaos sorcerer's effect activates, once per turn by denying it of attacking during the battle phase, I can banish 1 face up monster on the field, I chose your Cyber Twin Dragon!"
Chaos sorcerer's hands lit up, as he held his hand towards the Cyber Twin Dragon. The Mighty fusion monster was pulled to the black hole and disappeared from the field.
"And that's one more Chaos counter for Chaos Zone."
Chaos counter 3 -> 4
Zane's brows twitched as he saw his monster getting banished.
"Next up, I sacrifice one Light Beast Token and one Dark Beast Token, to tribute summon Black Luster Soldier - Sacred Soldier!"
The space in front of Ryoken was cut smoothly by something invisible, and then a sword tore through the space, out of walking a majestic swordsman with white shining armour.
Black Luster Soldier - Sacred Soldier 3000ATK/2500DEF
Even Zane's mouth was left agap as he saw the cool looking monster appear on Ryoken's field.
Zane begrudgingly had to give him some respect, For someone with vile and cruel tactics, he did have some flashy cards.
"Now Sacred Soldier's effect activates! I can select one of my banished cards and return it to my hand, then I can select a card on your field and banish it!"
Of course even if the card had a dashing look, it's effect had to be as dark as that if it was used by Ryoken.
"I return chaos Witch and banish one of your Cyber Dragons!"
Sacred Soldier raised his sword, ready to bring it down and send Cyber dragon to another realm, but Zane Had other ideas.
Zane quickly pressed a buttons on his duel disk "Not so fast! I activate my trap card, Attack reflector unit! I tribute the Cyber dragon you chose to banish, and then special summon Cyber Barrier Dragon in Defence position!"
The Cyber Dragon that was appointed as target of Scared soldiers effect escaped the sword slash and began to undergo through transformation, turning into a gigantic altered version Cyber Dragon.
Cyber Barrier Dragon 800ATK/2800DEF
"So you managed to get around my cards effect huh..." Ryoken Muttered before giving a thumbs up to Zane.
"I banish Eclipse wyvern and the shell of chaos in my graveyard, to special summon my Ace! The mythical swordsman and warrior that brings forth the beginning! Appear level 8! Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning!'
Similar to Sacred soldier, Envoy of the begging tore through space as it walked to the field. his navy coloured armour shone brightly as the glorious light that encased him slowly disappeared.
Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning 3000ATK/2500DEF
Sheppard looked at the scene with his mouth hung open, wondering where the hell was this prodigy till now? how could he have not found such a talent?
"Since I banished 2 more cards, Chaos Zone gains 2 more counters."
Chaos Counter 4 -> 6
"Eclipse Wyvern's effect activates. When it is banished, I can add the card that was banished by its effect to my hand!"
He collected the card and added it to his hand.
"Envoy of the beginning's has an effect that you're familiar with by now, once per turn I can banish one card that my opponent controls."
Zane's face darkened as he heard about the effect, ready to bid farewell to yet another monster of his.
"But ofcourse, I want a worthy battle between us, so I wouldn't use it this time."
"I banish your Cyber Barrier Dragon."
"Battle phase." Ryoken Muttered as he analyzed the field.
Chaos sorcerer couldn't attack due to using its effect, which left him with his 2 Super soldiers.
"Sacred Soldier attacks your last Cyber Dragon. Go Sacred Soldier, Sacred slash!"
The sword cleanly cut through the mechanical dragons body, destroyed it under Zane's gaze.
Zane LP 4000 - 900 -> 3100
"Envoy of begging, attack his Cyber Barrier Dragon, Slash of beginning!!"
The mechanical Dragon went down similar to the previous one without any resistance.
"Envoy of beginning's effect activates, when it successfully destroys a monster in battle, it can make a second attack. Envoy of beginning, attack him directly!"
Zane went down on one knee as he felt the impact of the attack. Yet he smiled faintly, enjoying facing off against a strong opponent.
Zane LP 3100 - 3000 -> 100
"I end my turn."
Ryoken watched Zane warily. Why? because he only had 100 life points left. In terms of Yu-Gi-Oh language it meant only one thing, Miracle comeback.
"Go on Zane you can do it!" One of the students yelled.
"I don't think so. He only has 100 life points. That's like a candle in the wind."
The moment those words came out of random NPC's mouth, Ryoken felt a shiver go down his spine.
That was another red flag. That sentence held so much strength for the underdog and a curse for the one close to winning.
Now he knew he was cooked. He could only brace himself, hoping that whatever Zane brought out, he could make it out this round.
