[Ryoken Wins!]
Despite the side they were cheering for, the moment the duel ended all the students in the dojo began to clap and cheer loudly for both duelists.
At first they were skeptical about the new guy, known as Ryoken, thinking he was a duelist who enjoyed torturing and disrespecting his opponents , especially after the first duel with Maxwell.
But then during the duel with Zane he had proven himself to be a duelist worthy of respect.
In the duel they went back and forth, destroying the other person's field, only for them to do the same in the next turn.
Ryoken released the breath he was holding, slumping down to the ground and sitting.
The duel he had with zane was exhilarating, his skills far superior to Yuri who one could say had a better deck.
Zane approached Ryoken and held his hand in front of him, which Ryoken took and stood up "Thanks."
"You're welcome. I had the wrong idea of you. I thought you're a duelist who likes to disrespect his opponents, but I was wrong."
Ryoken suppressed the urge to laugh, because he actually was the kind of duelist that would enjoy doing that, but no need to ruin it when Zane is complimenting him.
"Thanks for your praises, it means a lot coming from you. That Cyber End Dragon..."
"Oh that, Sheppard sensei gave it to me before the duel. He told me I would need it in the duel against you, guess it was true."
'So he really did get a buff right before our duel.'
That made Ryoken feel better about using Medea's power throughout the duel. If the opponent received help, why shouldn't he get some?
He also noted to use Medea's power to see if she could remove some limits his cards have, one being Envoy of beginning's weakness of not being able to attack if it had used its banishing effect.
Maybe if he was lucky, they could even change the card completely to use both of its effects in one turn.
Just imagining Envoy of beginning banishing a card then attacking twice per battle phase made a smile form on his face.
Zane Saw the smile and mistook it for Ryoken being as satisfied and happy as him due to their duel.
"Would you like to join our Dojo, young Kogami?"
Sheppard asked as he approached them. If he could make Ryoken join his Dojo, then he could rest easily knowing the dojo would have a good future with Ryoken and Zane as its leaders.
"About that... It's not a choice I can make by myself. You see, I have a little brother and with no parents, I'm responsible to look out for him."
Sheppard smiled faintly, seeing that the boy who was just a year or two younger than his disciple was this mature and carrying such a responsibility.
He couldn't help but not lend a hand and help this kind young boy even if he didn't become his second disciple.
"If it puts you at ease, we have rooms for our students to stay at. I can give you and your brother two rooms to stay and live here, so you won't have to worry about him."
Ryoken thought about it for a moment, weighing his options.
He had decided to raise Yuri and make his childhood good and memorable to not turn into what he became in canon.
With that said, he realised that his previous idea of raising him in an abandoned warehouse was a bad choice.
That's when an idea came to his mind. The two of them could live here thanks to Sheppard, and he could use the warehouse as his hideout and workshop, a place to work on the cards he was about to alter with the help of Medea.
"Then I'll gladly accept your offer. If it's fine with you I'll come back tomorrow with my brother."
Sheppard gave a nod in understanding "That's fine. But be sure to come back, there's something I want to discuss with you."
Ryoken raised a brow at the last bit, but didn't press on it and decided to see what it was about tomorrow.
After bidding farewell to the master and disciple duo he returned to the warehouse, only to find Yuri being awake and talking with his card.
'If I didn't know his cards have spirits laying dormant in them I would have thought he's autistic.' He thought to himself whilst chuckling.
Yuri heard and recognised the voice, quickly Jumping off the bed and running towards him with a smile on his face.
"Brother you're back!"
Ryoken patted his head whilst taking out the sandwiches he bought out of the package.
"You hungry?"
Yuri gave a nod, enjoying the headpat he was receiving "Yeah... Can we duel after we had lunch?"
"Sure why not. Don't you get bored of only dueling me?"
Yuri shook his head frantically "Absolutely not. My brother is the strongest duelist I've seen, and I enjoy dueling you the most."
'Geez, how could this adorable boy turn out to be that maniac in canon? right it's thanks to that egghead.'
This once again reminded Ryoken to make sure to beat the living shit out of professor Akaba.
"Oh by the way, we're moving to another place." Ryoken said as he took a bite of his ham sandwich.
"Why? is our home not good enough?"
'Yes Yuri, this place is terrible for raising a child.' He thought to himself before answering "Its not about that, we can always come back here. The new place is close to a Duelist Dojo I'm going to attend."
Hearing about the dueling part, Yuri's ears perked up "Can I also join?"
"Of course you can. You just need to show your power to them. Did you put the card I gave you inside your deck?"
"Mhm." Yuri nodded while munching on his sandwich "I added the Lava golem you gave me. But it's pyro type and doesn't go well with my deck..."
"Just trust this older brother of yours, alright?"
Yuri didn't rebut or say anything, completely trusting him. If Ryoken said something is good, then it's good. If it's bad, then it's bad.
After their dinner they had a duel, which unsurprisingly Ryoken won and gained the same reward he gets for defeating Yuri.
That's when he remembered to claim the rewards he gained from dueling Zane.
'I'll check them After Yuri is sleep.'
An hour or so passed as Yuri was finally tired and went to sleep, whilst Ryoken sat at the wooden table in the warehouse and opened the system's screen.

7) Access to the Pearlescent Cyber Dragons Pack, and Cybernetic successor Structure check in shop without any time limit.
"Oh? I can get another spirit? That's convenient."
That was the only reward he cared about. The pack and structure deck related to Cyber dragons were of no interest to him.
At most he would buy the Structure deck just to give a few cards of it as a gift to Zane.
But the Spirit reward was the real deal. Just having Medea during this small amount of time showed how useful it is to have one.
Now if he could pull a spirit with power on the same level as Medea, he would be very content.
