Ryoken was having a field day. Why? simply because he was enjoying dueling, which his opponent Maxwell and other students might disagree on.
Well that matter aside, during the duel he realised the true power of bs. He now understood why whatever weird logic Yugi used seemed to be fine.
A few examples were attacking the moon, using the swords of the revealing light to destroy a floating castle, using Joey's Time wizard to turn Dark magician into Great sage and so on.
Using Medea's spirit power during the duel, he deleted the first condition of using (Evenly matched).
The original effect stated that it needed to be activated after the battle phase, but borrowing Medea's power, he removed that condition.
The next case was the use of the effect itself. Technically when activated, Evenly matched would be counted as a card on the field, meaning he couldn't send the Cyber Ogre #2 to the graveyard.
But whilst activating the said trap card, Ryoken had deliberately ignored the trap card itself, seeing if his opponent would say anything or point it out, which he didn't.
If his opponent didn't think about it, why should he bother himself with it then?
Does what he did count as cheating? Probably yes. Does he give a shit about it? Not when his opponent doesn't.
Maybe he did have the potential to be the king of games.
"Let's duel."
He looked at the boy who had challenged him to duel, being the one and only Zane Truesdale.
If you're a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan then you must surely know and respect this guy. Who wouldn't like a guy using cool dragon cards, technically machine dragon cards but dragon is dragon. Especially a three headed one.
The production team and card designers really loved making three headed dragons in each series, and of course their holders were supposed to be flashy and cool characters.
Dueling such a person was a dream come true for Ryoken. To show Zane the proper respect, he would use his new Chaos deck.
Ryoken pulled out his deck and put it inside his pocket before taking out another and putting it in his duel disk.
Raising his duel disk to initiate the duel, a faint smile appeared on his face because he was about to have a proper duel.
"Get your game on."
"Wait a minute!" Sheppard intruded "I have something to say to Zane."
Sheppard approached Zane and took out a card, giving it to Zane whilst he whispered something to him.
After Zane put the card in his deck, he raised his duel disk again "Sorry for the interruption. Let's start."
[DUEL!]
Zane: 4000LP (5cards)
Ryoken: 4000LP (5cards)
"I go first!" Ryoken declared loudly as he took a glance at the cards in his hand.
Turn 1
Main Phase 1
"First I set two cards face down and then activate the spell card, Card destruction!"
"Both players must discard all the cards in their hands and draw cards equal to the number of the cards they discarded."
As many fans knew, Zane was famous for starting duels whilst at least having two Cyber dragons in his hand if not all three, and to top it off he also would have a Polymerization.
Using Card destruction, Ryoken tried to minimise the threat by changing Zane's starting hand.
Of course every student in the dojo and Sheppard himself knew this too, so when Zane discarded his entire hand, they couldn't help but curse inwardly.
Ryoken also discarded the two cards in his hand and drew two new cards.
"Next up, I summon the Chaos Witch in the attack position!"

Medea appeared on the field, giving Ryoken a faint smile before facing their opponent.
"Next up, I use her effect, I can tribute her to special summon 2 Dark beast tokens! I summon both in the defence position."

Draw Phase
Zane drew a card, glancing at it briefly proceeding to the main phase.
Main Phase 1
"From my hand I activate the spell card Cyber Repair Plant, and because I have 3 cyber dragons in my graveyard, I can use both of its effects."
"First I return a copy of the Cyber Dragon to my deck by the second effect of Cyber Repair Plant, then using the first effect I add that Cyber Dragon from my deck to my hand."
'So he did have three Cyber Dragons as his opening hand... Does he even shuffle his deck?' Ryoken thought to himself as he watched Zane make his move.
"While my opponent controls a monster and I don't, I can special summon Cyber Dragon from my hand! I special summon Cyber Dragon in the attack position!"
Cyber Dragon 2100ATK/1600DEF
"From my hand I activate Cyber Dragon Vier's effect! When Cyber Dragon is normal or special summoned, I can special summon this card in defense position and its name becomes Cyber Dragon!"

"Whilst Cyber Dragon Vier is on the field all Cyber Dragons I control gain 500 Attack and defence points."

"Next up, I activate Cyber Dragon Nachster effect from my hand. I can send another monster from my hand to the graveyard to special summon it! I special summon Nachster in the Defense position."

"And because of Vier's effect, it gains 500 defence points."
Cyber Dragon Nachster 200+500 -> 700DEF
"When Nachster is normal or special summoned I can choose a machine monster with 2100 Attack or defence points and special summon it!"
"I special summon another copy of Cyber Dragon from my graveyard, and it also gains 500 Attack points!"

Cyber Dragon (2) 2100+500 -> 2600ATK
"The effect of the Cyber Dragon Herz that I discarded now activates, I can add a Cyber Dragon from my deck or graveyard to my hand, I add the last copy from my graveyard to my hand."
The crowd cheered and hyped up Zane as he had returned all the Cyber Dragons back to his hand or field.
"As expected of our Zane, He summoned 4 monsters in one go!"
"That's nothing, he hasn't even fusion summoned yet!" Another student chirped in.
Ryoken watched the scene unfold in front of his eyes, feeling nostalgic at the constant summoning of monsters.
'Yes this is what dueling should look like, if you're not spamming monsters on the field then you're not playing Yu-Gi-Oh.'
The way Zane summoned 4 monsters made him remember his previous life and the duels he had in the master duel game.
In each duel you could go and make some food, take a shower, go and do some work that you left for who knows how long and then come back to the duel, only to see your opponent is still summoning monsters.
And that's if we ignore the fact that they continue to do this during your turn. As the saying goes, in the world of meta there is no such thing as my turn, it's our turn.
"From my hand I activate polymerization to fuse Cyber Dragon Nachster and Cyber Dragon Vier!"
Two Mighty Dragons Join together and become one to form an even mightier Dragon! Fusion Summon! Appear, Level 8! Cyber Twin Dragon!"

"Oooh! There it is! Zane's ace monster!"
"Cool dragon, but Since Cyber Dragon Vier is now gone, your Cyber Dragons attack points goes back to their original." Ryoken noted, which indeed was on point.
"A trivial matter. Battle phase, Both of my Cyber Dragons attack your Dark Beast Tokens! go Revolutionary blast!"
Both Cyber Dragons opened their mechanical mouths, releasing powerful rays towards their targets.
Ryoken quickly pressed the button on his duel disk while pointing his hand forward "At this moment, I activate my set card, the trap card Negate attack. Your attack is negated and the Battle phase ends here."
"So you survived this turn..." Zane muttered "I set a card and end my turn."
