Most of the time the students of the Cuber Art dojo would mind their own business and soend their time training, but today they were all gathered around to see a duel unfold.
They all were cheering for their second strongest duelist, Maxell who was Sheppard's student even before Zane.
Some thought that Sheppard might take him in as his disciple, but Out of nowhere Zane had appeared and by showing his outstanding talent in the Cyber Art, he had outshone Maxwell.
Maxwell wasn't the typical guy that would get jealous and ruin everything they had over losing their position, instead he actually supported Zane and accepted the fact that he was better than him.
With all that said, it was obvious who every student was cheering for. As for the opponent, they didn't know anything about the white haired boy.
"Let's have a good duel." Maxwell told Ryoken with a kind smile, encouraging his opponent to shake off their nerves.
"Indeed, I'll hope you guide me senior."
Maxwell liked being treated as the older brother figure and helping his fellow students, but the way that boy in front of him said senior made him shiver.

Both duelists draw 5 cards and without missing a beat Maxwell decided to own the first turn.
"I will go first." Maxwell said calmly as he closed his eyes just for a moment before opening it, as if locking in.
Turn 1
Standby phase 1
"My master told me to take you seriously, I respect his wishes and will go all out right from the start!"
"Thanks I guess?"
"I activate the spell card Polymerization, with it I fuse the two Cyber Ogre's in my hand to bring out my ace!"
The students cheered loudly as they saw the opening move, making Ryoken cringe inwardly.
"Two mighty Ogres come together to create a stronger Ogre! Fusion Summon! Appear, Level 7! - Cyber Ogre #2!"

"There it is, Maxwell's Ace!"
"So manly!"
"Please marry me!"
'Wait what? are we filming a donghua here?' Ryoken was flustered by the crowds reaction which looked similar to those Chinese works.
"Since it is the first turn I can't attack you. So you're safe for a turn before facing the might of my ace. I end my turn."
Turn 2
Draw phase
"Draw." Ryoken looked at the card he drew with a glint in his eye.
Standby phase 1
"Senior, you said that this card is your ace?"
"Indeed, this card was given to me by Sheppard Sensei, a token of his trust in my abilities."
Maxwell answered with a found smile on his face, as if reminiscing the memory of the first time he used Cyber Ogre #2.
"I see. You have a nice bond. When I don't control any card on my field I can activate my trap card from my hand. I activate the trap card, Evenly matched!"
"When my opponent controls more cards than I do, they must send cards from their field to the graveyard so we have the same amount of cards on our fields."
As those words sink in, Maxwell's eyes Widened in horror as he looked at his ace card.
"Senior, I got no card on my field, please send your Cyber Ogre #2 to the graveyard." Ryoken asked politely in contrast to his play.
"I... fine." He said relectuntly as he sent his card to the graveyard.
"Now from my hand I activate my spell card, Delinquent duo! My opponent must discard a card from their hand, and if they do have any more card left in their hand, they must discard that too. Lucky me that you have exactly two cards in your hand, senior."
Maxwell lips twitched as he heard the senior word again. Senior? your not even showing me respect!
Two imps appeared, each taking a card from his hand and sending them to the graveyard while he watched powerlessly.
'Should I just punch him? Master will surely understand.' He thought to himself before calming down.
"Good play, it seems you have thought of everything, you're a worthy opponent." He praised as he gritted his teeth.
"Thanks for the praise Senior, I'm happy I didn't disappoint you."
"Now I summon Yata-Garasu in the attack position!"

Maxwell, Sheppard, and the rest of the students blinked a few times to be sure what they were seeing.
This boy just cleared his opponent's hand and field, just to summon a monster with 200 attack points in the attack position?
Maxwell couldn't help but feel a shiver going down his spine, getting an ominous feeling from the crow that had appeared.
"Battle phase, I attack directly with my Yata-Garasu."
The crow flew over to Maxwell, picking him at the top of his head before returning to Ryoken's field.

"I end my turn. At the end of my turn, due to it's effect, Yata-Garasu returns to my hand."
This effect confused the crowd even more. Monster with 200 attack points, and it returns to the hand? Didn't that mean that by drawing the right card, Maxwell could attack directly because of Ryoken's empty field?
"Go Maxwell senpai! We believe in you!" The students yelled in Unison, making him smile softly.
Turn 3
Draw phase
As Maxwell was about to draw a card and start his comeback, Ryoken stopped him.
"Yata-Garasu's effect activates. When it has dealt damage in the battle phase, my opponent skips their draw phase."
Standby Phase 1

"..."
"..."
' That's it you little shit. I'm using my fist now.' Maxwell thought to himself as he pulled his sleeves up.
"Senior, it's still your turn. come on, show me the bond you created with your deck." Ryoken siad with enthusiasm, as if encouraging him, making a vein pop up on his forehead.
"I end my turn."
Turn 4
Draw phase
Ryoken calmly drew a card as he smiled at Maxwell.
Standby Phase 1
"I bring back my monster to the field, Appear, Yata-Garasu!"

The damned bird appeared again, and made a caw caw sound as it saw Maxwell, as if mocking him.
"Since you have no monsters on your field, I can attack you directly. Go Yata-Garasu, attack him directly!"
The bird once again flew to his side, picking him on top of his head before returning to Ryoken's field.

"I end my turn, and as you know by now, Yata-Garasu comes back to my hand."
Turn 5
Draw phase
"Come on senior, draw. a strong duelist can always get the card they need."
Maxwell looked at his deck, then at Ryoken who just smiled at him innocently, waiting patiently for him to draw.
Maxwell sighed as he put his hand on his deck, making Ryoken state his cards effect again.
"Ah I forgot that my monster's effect made you skip your draw phase. My bad."
'They will surely understand that I'm just going to kill a devil.' Maxwell thought to himself as he glared at Ryoken with Red eyes.
"Oh my, that's a scary look you're giving me senior, it makes me think as if I've done something."
'This shameless bastard...'
He began to think with himself, was it worth getting picked on by that damned crow for atleast ten more times or not.
Maxwell sighed in defeat as he put his hand on his deck, pulling it out "I quit."
[Ryoken Wins...]
Even the duel disks were having a hard time processing the diabolical tactic that Ryoken had played.
"Thanks for the duel, senior." Ryoken approached him, holding his hand and waiting for Maxwell to grab and shake it.
"That's enough." A Navy haired boy said in calm voice, making everyone turn around to see him.
"Let's duel." The boy said as he raised his Duel disk at Ryoken, which in return he just smiled.
Ryoken pulled out his deck and put it inside his pocket before taking out another and putting it in his duel disk.
"Get your game on."
