'Even though Krasbert's stats aren't that much above mine, I still feel that he is much more powerful. Don't even get me started on Grishna, she is on another level.'

While Lucas was deep in thought, Michael Kahl approached him.
"That was quite something. Did you know this would happen?"
Michael was in his early thirties and had a broad build. He also had a kind face.
Lucas answered.
"I knew they could handle them, but I didn't expect them to do it so quickly. It was also my first time seing Grishna in action."
"Yeah, that was really amazing. Especially the blue orc, she hit every target perfectly."
"Yes it was. And her name is Grishna, not Blue Orc."
"Ah yes of course, I'm sorry. I am just not used to this."
"Don't worry about, this is all new to me too."
Michael then ordered everyone to collect the corpses and head back to the meeting point.

After waiting a while at the meeting place, another team showed up.
It was the team with Captain Bacher leading them. Sarah Minho was also in his team. They faced 2 small goblin groups in the south.
The next teams arrived at almost the same time.
Lucas noticed that a few people leveled up.
Sarah and Gürt both reached level 7, while Chima reached level 6. A few others reached level 4.
Gürt kept staring at Lucas like he was superior to him.
'What an annoying guy.'
Captain Bacher ordered the team leaders to report everything that happened.
"I see. That's quite shocking. I knew his summons were strong, but this surpasses what I expected."
Michael agreed.
After hearing everyone's reports, Captain Bacher decided that they should keep hunting in these groups.
They then all split up again.
Lucas and his team headed west again.
After a few minutes they encountered a small group of 5 goblins.
Michael ordered for everyone to stop.
"Alright this time, everyone but Lucas and me will engage them."
The soldiers responded immediately.
"Yes sir!"
The other two awakened followed suit.
"Y-yes sir!"
Michael walked towards Lucas while the rest started charging at the goblins.
"I hope you understand. They all need experience. And not just the soldiers, we need everyone to get stronger. We don't know what else is to come in the future."
"Yes, I understand."

An hour later.
Their team encountered 6 small groups and 1 big group of goblins with varying levels.
They were on their way back to the meeting place.
During the hunt, Krasbert killed two level 3 goblins, 8 level 2 goblins and 7 level 1 goblins.
Grishna killed five level 3 goblins, 11 level 2 goblins and 6 level 1 goblins.
So both killed 17 goblins each. The two of them together killed a little more than the rest combined.
Grishna leveled up twice, reaching level 6.
Lucas was very close to reaching level 8.
Since there was nothing left in the west, they had no choice but to head back.
They had expected to be the first ones to arrive, but were surprised to see otherwise.
The team Rafael was leading was already there.
Michael walked towards him.
"How are you already back?"
"We faced some problems in the north. The further we went, the more groups we encountered. And at a certain point, Ruben here discovered something."
"What was it?"
"Using his mana sense skill, Ruben found the core of this gate. There was a group of nearly a hundred goblins there, guarding it. But I don't think that this gate has a boss monster."
Michael and the rest of his team were shocked to hear these news.
They then decided to wait for the other teams to arrive and have Captain Bacher decide what to do.

Almost another hour later.
All the teams had arrived and were now discussing what to do.
Captain Bacher decided that with 32 awakend they could handle the small goblin army.
After discussing some strategies, they marched north.
"They are just low level goblins. Do not be afraid!"
Captain Bacher gave some more encouragement on the way there.
After walking for 20 minutes, they arrived in front of the goblin army and immediately went into action.
"Soldiers and awakened, charge!!"
They all charged with small teams of 4 sticking together at all times to cover eachother's backs.
Krasbert and Grishna moved on their own.
Krasbert was at the very front, tearing through every goblin in sight.
Grishna was at the back, covering everyone's backs.
This was also the first time inside the gate that Lucas fought aswell, using his sword.
They all did surprisingly well and with the help of the avatars it went very smoothly.
After about 15 minutes of intense fighting and blood spilling everywhere, it finally ended.
Some people dropped to their knees from the exhaustion.
There were only minor wounds among everyone, while some didn't have any.
After catching their breaths for a few minutes, they gathered in the middle to discuss what to do next.
Captain Bacher spoke up.
"Everyone gather the corpses that you can and put them in your inventories."
"Understood!"
When the job was done, Michael asked Captain Bacher something important.
"Captain, what do we do with the core?"
Everyone looked at Captain Bacher with curious gazes.
"Lucas, you did the most. You should take it. I have a feeling that it will do you some good."
"Thank you Captain, I appreciate it."
Lucas already reached level 8 during the fight before. He wondered what he would get from the gate core.
