Lucas walked towards the gate core and reached his hand out.
As soon as he touched it, he could feel something inside of him becoming warm.
He then shattered the core with his hand and mana flowed into him.

Cracks started appearing in the sky and before they knew it, they were outside, where the gate used to be.
Before they could adjust to their surroundings, a notification popped up in front of everyone.

Soon everyone calmed down and everyone was happy that they all made it out alive.
They all sat together in the tent for a while, discussing everything that happened.

'It might not be much in the grand scheme of things, but I have never had this much money in my life.'
Lucas was in a very good mood. After taking a shower with Grishna, they sat on the couch and turned on the tv.
"According to reports, 5 gates have been cleared in Zurich already thanks to the awakend."
"Yes indeed. The awakend are our only hope for survival against these monsters."
Lucas watched the news a while longer before heading to bed.

The next day Lucas got a call.
"Hello?"
"Mr. Strom, this is Captain Bacher."
"Oh hello sir. Why are you calling me?"
"Well as you may have heard, most gates still haven't been cleared yet. We are lacking manpower. I am entering another gate with my squad today and was hoping you would join us."
"Oh I see."
'Only 7 out of 18 gates have been cleared in Zurich. There aren't enough awakakend who are at least level 3. And every those that are don't all want to risk their lives.'
"Mr.Strom, if you help us, we will give you 10'000.- for each gate you help us clear."
"Sounds good, I'm in."
"Excellent! Please be at the gate on xxx street in 1 hour."
"Alright."
"Great, goodbye."
"Bye."
Lucas was happy that he could gain more experience and money.
'I thought I would have a boring day today. This is perfect!'

Lucas met Captain Bacher and his squad at the gate.
He was surprised to see other familiar faces.
Sarah Minho and Ruben Tavher were both here aswell, but the rest from yesterday wasn't. Instead there were some other awkakend he hasn't seen before, but no one stood out to him.
The 21 year old Ruben smiled at him when he saw him, while the 22 year old Sarah just nodded.
"Lucas! I'm glad that you're here too."
"Yeah me too."
After some strategy talk, they got ready to leave.

After about two hours of hunting, they cleared the gate of roughly 200 goblins.
They found out that every 24 hours the goblins respawn if the gate isn't cleared.
When they cleared it a notification popped up.

'That's all?'
'The first time was probably more special. To be honest, 10 attribute points is still a good reward for this gate.'
Lucas decided to fight more himself in this gate and practice his swordsmanship with his new sword.
In the end he killed 17 goblins himself.
Krasbert killed 44 and Grishna killed 51.
