While he was deep in thought, Captain Bacher approached him.
"Hey, you did amazing this time again. You will receive your payment by tonight."

"By the way, I have recommended you for another gate raid tomorrow with another squad. We are off duty tomorrow. Are you interested?"

"Okay great, I will send you the details later."

It was currently late in the evening and Lucas had just received his payment and the gate raid details for tomorrow.
'The awakening is the best thing that's ever happened to me.'
'Once I have enough money and power I will definitely find out what happened to my brother.'
'Even though he is probably dead, I need to know. Although I don't really believe in the afterlife, I want to give my mom so closure.'
After making some future plans in his head, Lucas was ready to summon his third avatar.

Ghost was in full black clothing with a hood. He had dark grey skin, pointy ears, golden eyes and light grey hair.
The 5'9 tall avatar kneeled in front of him.
"I greet my master."
"Hello ghost, I am grateful to have you with me."
"You can stand up now."
Ghost stood up right away without a word.
"If there is anything you need, you can always say so."
"Understood, master."
Lucas realized that ghost was the quiet type.
"I will put you into the avatar space. I will call you when I need you."
Ghost just nodded.
'I think it's better if I don't tell anyone about him. I need a secret card in my deck.'
'Today 2 of the 10 remaining gates were cleared in the city. One by me and the team I was in. And the other by another team I don't know about.'

It was the fourth morning since the awakening.
After waking up in this cool autumn in October, Lucas decided that he would use his attribute points before leaving.
'I'm gonna evenly distribute the 22 attribute points.'

'This team kinda sucks. Except for a couple soldiers that are decent, the rest all have either below average stats or have no skills.'
'I guess Captain Bacher send me here because they needed help the most.'

Luckily the Captain of this team accepted Lucas his request to move alone inside the gate.
'If it wasn't for Captain Bacher this wouldn't be possible. He must be well respected among his peers.'
Lucas headed north with all his avatars.
"Ghost, you do all the hunting for now since no one is around and you need the experience points."
"Yes master."
Ghost killed a small group of goblins in record time without breaking a sweat.
He kept at it until they reached where the gate core was. There were over a hundred goblins there.
Lucas commanded for all three avatars to give it their all.
And in 30 minutes every single goblin was dead.
He also got to see a lot of the skills that Ghost had.
Lucas grabbed the gate core and crushed it.

Lucas now had 30'000.- in his bank account.
He decided that he would search for a better apartment today.
He had nothing else to do and he wanted to enjoy his money.

After spending the whole day with a real estate agent, looking at apartments, he finally found one that he liked.
The apartment was close to the middle of the city. It had 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. A very large living room and a nice kitchen. There was also a big balcony with a view of the entire city.
It was 5000.- a month, but he was okay with that since he would earn a lot of money in the future.
Tomorrow he would move into his new place, but for tonight he would sleep in his usual room.
