INT. C.H.R.U.C.H BUILDING(OUTSIDE) - AFTERNOON. NOVEMBER 1ST, 2025, 3:40 P.M
Gibby and Blake looked at each other's eyes, Gibby not blinking as continued to stare. "Give me a reason rat shite, I've been wanting one to come kick your ass."
Blake snorted, "If you don't let us go, I'll give you one big reason why to not fuck with me", he goaded, his hands beginning to clench his fist.
Gibby's face had a neutral only movement was his upper lip. For a moment, Gabriel thought that everything could be solved peacefully, but that was for naught. Gibby tried to throw a left hook at Blake's head. Blake ducked the attack, the attack hitting the man directly behind. Blake jabbed Gibby in the stomach, Gibby stumbling back from the blow, clenching his stomach. Blake had to block a knee to his face with both hands. His breath leaving his body from a punch to the guy, four out of the five people who surrounded him earlier all attacked at once.
Gabriel letting out a sigh at seeing Blake losing the fight, looked at the person holding his left arm. "I'd like to apologize for this ahead of time."
"Apologize for what", the masculine voice replied
Gabriel didn't reply as the man went flying, his mask filling with blood from the nose that was broken in the attack. "What the fuck?", the man to his right stated. Gabriel didn't hesitate to summon a brass knuckle to his right hand, quickly punching the distracted man in the face. The man instantly fell down to the ground.
Gabriel's creation that was invisible showed up hovering to his left. Gabriel gave a small nod at it before rushing towards the guys surrounding Blake. Gabriel tackled the man to Blake's left, knocking him to the ground, quickly getting on top and wailing him in the face. He was able to get three punches in before someone grabbed him by the back of his neck. The grip was tight around his neck as the person pulled him backgrounds wrapping their legs around his hips.
The person who tried to knee Blake earlier went for another punch that blocked, swayed to the left, then countered with a left hook to the person's ribs. The sound of a loud crack filled the air as the person's ribs cracked under the strength of the heavy punch. Blake promptly did a spinning back fist, hitting the person standing behind him in the face with a loud crack filling the air. Blake let out a quick breath, sweat forming on his face before noticing Gabriel on the ground. He quickly ran over kicking the person multiple times in the face, the head going limp as they let go of Gabriel's neck.
Blake dragged Gabriel to his feet, brushing dirt from the ground off his back. "Man Rook, we gotta give a crash course in fighting if you want to be a part of this world."
"Screw….you!"Gasped Gabriel as he rubbed his through, a slight bruise appearing where the grab was.
Blake didn't have time to reply as he stepped in front of Gabriel, shield form as he blocked a fireball aimed at them. Coming at them was Gibby, with a staff in his hand, fire circling around his body. "You haven't been here for years, Blake! I'm not that weak newbie you can push around anymore." Gibby raised the staff with three more fireballs appearing in the air behind him before speeding towards Blake.
"Fuck me," Blake muttered the room heating up as the fireballs approached rapidly.
Blake's feet slowly slid across the ground as he blocked each one, the sweat on his face gone due to the heat of the flames. As the last fireball exploded, smoke obscured the vision. Gabriel came charging out, his creation flying behind him as he met Gibby's charge head on. Gibby swings the staff, summoning a wall of fire that Gabriel's creation blocked with a wave, its hand forming a shield. Gibby clicked his teeth in frustration, but tried throwing a kick at Gabriel's face. Gabriel blocked the attack with his form, a small white shield rebounding the attack, leaving Gabriel's forearm from not hurting from the damage. Gibby was shocked at his attack being blocked, before he could find footing, Gabriel hit him with an uppercut to the chin. Blood flying through the air as he went rolling across the ground.
Gabriel summoned a giant hand that slammed to hit Gibby in the face, but Gibby was able to roll out of the way. Gabriel chased, summoning giant legs to try to hit Gibby. Gibby dodged out of it, "ENOUGH!", he yelled, spinning off his back, pushing off his hands he summoned a huge amount of fire that broke the giant leg Gabriel summoned.
Gabriel's creation appeared in front of Gabriel, blocking the fire for him. Gabriel felt a little heat, but that was it as the flame died down. Once the flames dissipated, the shield was lowered as the creature floated behind Gabriel. Gabriel and Gibby stood a foot across each other, both breathing slightly hard. "My issue is with Blake. I'll let you go in exchange for letting me capture him." Gibby offered.
Gabriel cocked his head to the side, actually thinking over the deal. "OI! Don't you dare give into this pompous dick!" Blake yelled from near the plants where the fight first started.
Gabriel turned to face Blake, a small smirk "Calm down I wouldn't really give you up, at least not to this jack ass.
"Tch, then don't say I didn't give you an offer!" Gibby growled.
Gabriel turned back to face Gibby once again, a smile forming on his face. "Sit this one Blake, I can take this asshole on by myself."
Blake wiped a fake tear from his face, "I'm so proud of his first boss fight," he faked cried. "He's growing up so fast!"
"STOP UNDERESTIMATING ME!"Gibby shouted out slamming the end of his staff on the ground causing a huge amount of flames to pour across the ground.
Gabriel jumped up in the air, a platform shining below his feet as stood in the air. Gibby didn't stop there as he pointed his staff at Gabriel in the air, launching multiple fireballs at him. Gabriel ran across the air as fast as possible, multiple shields forming blowing his feet. His creation that was floating behind disappeared, leaving Gabriel to fight alone. He summoned a gun similar to the one Gabriel uses as a cop, shooting two shots at Gibby's head while dodging out of the fireballs being shot at him. Gibby saw small things moving at him with speed, he stopped shooting for balls, spinning his staff, allowing a flame shield to appear, blocking the blast. Without the fireballs shooting at him, Gabriel ran towards Gibby, firing as many shots as he could.
Gibby was focused on holding his shield as he evaporated in the flame. "You think that tiny gun is actually going to harm me!" he mocked, lowering the shield before spinning his staff in the air. The flames on the ground rose like an ocean, hovering above Gabriel, who was looking around, shocked at the amount of fire. "This is the difference between actual power and people who think they have it."
"ROOK, GET OUT OF THERE!" He heard Blake shout.
Gabriel heard what both of them said, but refused to run away. Instead, he focused a small blue barrier around himself, the white turning blue as he focused on protecting himself. He refused to allow others to keep saving him; he even forced his creation to stay put. "Any last words!" he heard Gibby shout, but he didn't offer up a reply. Suddenly the flames began to fall downwards on top of him. Gabriel began running, platforms moving under his feet as he ran through all the fire. Gabriel could barely see anything besides red, and smoke yet he kept pushing onwards. "Die, you losers, die to the flame god!" Gibby laughed out loud.
Gabriel, following the laughter, appeared above the flames, none of the heat bothering him since he activated his blue aura. He remembered when fighting against the vampires in the club, he could use flames. He was banking on protecting himself, which thankfully it worked. His small flame aura canceling out the fire before it got close to him. Gabriel jumped off the platform, falling about ten feet from the sky, he saw Gibby distracted. Using that to his advantage, he aimed his gun, fire a bullet that soared through the air, hitting Gibby in the forehead. The bullet's force made Gibby stumble back, clenching his forehead in pain.
Gibby looked up and saw Gabriel falling from the air, coming quickly towards his position. "Just die already!"Gibby screamed, swinging his staff, summoning more flames aimed at Gabriel. Gabriel righted himself in the air using his feet, sliding across the fire. Gibby's mouth opened in shock, confused on how Gabriel could slide across his flames. "How are you not burning alive yet?"He questioned but still received no response.
Gibby went to move his staff arm, but it wouldn't budge, Gibby tried to look down and saw arms wrapped around his body. He struggled with all his might but couldn't break the grip. Gabriel's lips turned upwards as his plan worked out. Gabriel clenched his hand, turning it into a fist, his momentum fast as slid across the flames. Time seemed to slow as his fist collided with Gibby's face for a time everything stopped, Gibby's check flapping from the damage of the punch. BOOM! The second passed with Gibby's body flying across the room, hitting the wall and leaving an imprint. His staff fell to the ground in front of him. Gabriel's creation having let go once Gabriel landed the punch to the face.
Gabriel felt his arm shatter from the black lash as the momentum carried him forward, rolling across the ground hard before stopping. Gabriel groaned out in pain as he lay there, his right arm throbbing from the bones breaking. He couldn't help but be proud of himself for finally winning a fight by himself. He could feel the heat in the room lowering. Gabriel guessed that Gibby being knocked out allowed the fire to go out without issues. The sprinkles above kicked in, helping put out the rest of the flames that were too stubborn to die out. Unluckily for Gabriel, all of that water got in his face. He quickly jumped to his feet, ignoring the pain, snorting out the water that got into his nose.
"ROOK GOOOD JOB", Blake shouted in the distance, his voice coming echoing around the now quiet room. Minus the sound of the sprinkles, Gabriel heard heavy footsteps running across the ground. He kept his head down as he did his best to not think about all the pain he was in. After a moment, a heavy hand landed on his back. "I thought you were a goner there for a while," Blake admitted.
Gabriel groaned out in pain, the slap from Blake making his arm throb even more than before. "Shit, can you not do that? I ended up shattering my arm in the fight."
Blake glanced at Gabriel, noticing that his arm was hanging limply at his side. "That does seem painful", He committed
Gabriel lifted his head, glaring at Blake. "Seriously, you didn't have faith during the fight", he growled, though his tone sounded tired more than anything.
"Not like I didn't have faith, but let's be real. Between us you're not the best fighter in the group.", Blake admitted. "Plus, look at the other guy, they became ashes due to how strong the flames were. I thought that would've happened to you.
Gabriel just sighed, his shoulders slumping in disappointment. "Thanks for the vote of confidence, man", he muttered
Small clapping could be heard echoing around the room before Blake could reply to Gabriel's comment. "You don't come back to visit, and when you finally do, you destroy my entrance hall.", a woman's voice echoed around the room.
"Shit! Rook whatever you do, don't like her in the eye. Also try your best to stay calm no matter what you see.", Blake whispered in Gabriel's ear.
Gabriel nodded, though felt annoyed at the fact yet another random person who hates Blake showing up. He couldn't help but let out a vast sigh as stared at the floor in disappointment. Maybe he should've went with Nadia instead of with Blake then maybe he wouldn't have ended up in a fight and with a broken arm.
