INT. GABRIEL'S HOUSE - AFTERNOON. NOVEMBER 1ST, 2025, 1:15 P.M
"Ugh, all of this is making my head hurt", Nadia whined as she slammed her head on the table.
Gabriel sighed, leaning back in his chair at the kitchen table. "I think maybe your head will hurt less if you wouldn't keep slamming it on shit."
Nadia lifted her head up glaring at Gabriel, "You shush!" she growled. Gabriel put up both his hands in defense. She gave him one last look before turning her seething look to Blake sitting at the head of the table. "Why is everything around you so complicated — seriously, a secret organization?"
Blake just shrugged, reaching his right hand out to grab the coffee mug sitting in front of him. "I mean, did you honestly think I was working for the Catholic Church of all places?" He asked, taking a sip of coffee.
Nadia and Gabriel shared a long look before staring back at Blake. "Yes!" Both said at the same time.
"Well, I don't work from the church, either of the churches,"Blake replied.
Gabriel stared at Blake before letting an enormous sigh. "I am more concerned about why you, of all people, stopped working for those people."
Blake leaned in his seat, setting his cup of coffee on the table. His face became shadowed as stared down at the table. "I'd rather not get into it at this point, with all the stress with this case I'd rather not be opening old wounds.
Gabriel replied with sincerity in his tone."When you're right, when you're ready we can talk about it later."
Nadia let out a loud groan, her looking up at the ceiling as she rubbed her temples. "All well in good with the bonding shit, but we seriously are back to square one."
"I recall Evan saying something when died starting with an S", Gabriel mused, doing his best to remember the word but it did not come to mind.
Blake looked up from his cup of coffee, a slight hesitation in his movements, as slowly spoke out loud. "The name he spoke was Stolas."
Nadia raised an eyebrow as she studied Blake's demeanor. "Do we know who Stolas is, or something? You're acting like you're scared of the guy."
Blake didn't answer for a moment, taking a sip of his coffee. "Not that I'm nervous, I just think we need to take a trip down to the church to see how bad demon activity has kicked up in the city."
Gabriel had question marks floating around his head as he tried to understand. "That doesn't make sense, wouldn't they know if there were demons in the city?"
"They should with how much we've been attacked over the last week I'd rather us go back to my old stomping grounds.", Blake replied. "Plus, the name Stolas has a very deep meaning in the Demon community."
Nadia grabbed her head in frustration, trying her best to keep her cool. "I think I'm going to sit this adventure, I'm super exhausted plus I want to check on my friend to make sure she's okay.
Gabriel shrugged. "Sure, if you want, we can drop you off at your car before we head to the hospital," he offered.
Nadia nodded in acceptance. "Thanks, I'll so do more research in the kid you mentioned before."She paused, her index finger tapping her chin as she tried to remember the name
"Cain, his name was Cain Corson", Blake chirped up.
Nadia snapped her fingers as if remembering the name. "Yeah, that guy, we can see what happened to him after he turned eighteen, plus I want to know his connection to the factory,"
Gabriel's chair scraped across the kitchen floor as he stood up from the table. "Right, WELP I'm going to grab a shower then meet everyone in the car in 30 minutes". He told them not to wait for a reply as he marched out of the kitchen.
"Yeah know, some days I think he needs to learn how to relax", Gabriel heard Nadia whine, but he decided not to say anything as he marched up the stairs.
INT. C.H.R.U.C.H BUILDING(OUTSIDE) - AFTERNOON. NOVEMBER 1ST, 2025, 3:30 P.M
Gabriel watched Blake look sad at his car as he got out of the passenger seat, before turning away. Since Blake's leather jacket finally ripped, he has taken to wearing a long brown trench coat, kind of like detectives from those old TV shows. The new look suited him, and Gabriel had to be honest. Since they didn't have to go into the office, Gabriel decided on wearing a brown sheepskin leather bomber jacket with a shearling collar and lining. With a black shirt, black cargo pants, and black boots. Gabriel looked up at the building they're parked in front of wondering what they were doing in front of something so run down.
"If anything ever happens to you, Rook, you gotta let me keep your car." Blake complained as he kept staring at the Chevy Tahoe.
The sudden statement broke Gabriel from his contemplation as he turned to look at Blake "Hope you're not praying for my downfall already.", he joked.
Blake glanced as he ran his hand longingly across the car. "It's the leg room and heated seats Rook, mainly the leg room."
Gabriel just rubbed his hand against his forehead. "Why don't you just trade in your car for a new one?" he questioned, not understanding why it's such a big deal.
Blake looked up at Gabriel in horror, "On my salary, do you think I could afford something like this?", he shot back, his tone becoming more frantic as he waved his arms around frantically. "Welp, Rook, I can't afford it because I'm poor, you hear me."
Gabriel had a large sweat drop form behind his head, deciding it best to ignore Blake's annoying crying. Turning his head back to the building noticed how run down the old office building truly was. While he saw some cars in the parking lot, Gabriel assumed people just parked here before walking to a different part of the city. There was a sign connected to the building that had a C on it, but the rest was so faded Gabriel couldn't make out anything on it.
Gabriel heard steps coming heading towards him. "Finally tearing yourself away from your lost love," he mocked
"Haha funny", Blake dryly stated as he stopped next to Gabriel. Letting out a sigh, he continued talking, his tone still dry. "Welcome to my old workplace."
Gabriel cocked his to the side, "I'm a little disappointed, I thought we were going to an actual church."
Blake didn't do anything at first, instead walking past Gabriel while motioning back for him to follow behind. Gabriel shrugged but followed, enjoying the slight chill of the air as they reached the front of the door. Up close the building looked worse to Gabriel's eyes, you could hear water dripping to the ground. The sound of rats squeaking was loud. Honestly it all reminded him of the warehouse they went to when they went to check out the warehouse.
Gabriel watched as Blake walked right through the broken front door. Letting out an enormous sigh, he followed behind. "Combatting. Horrific .Unterrestrial. Ravaging. Creatures. head-on. Also known to the Church is a secret organization founded when Lucifer was finally slain in the 14th century." Blake explained as he led them through the rundown building.
Gabriel pulled a web off his face, hoping there wasn't a spider secretly crawling around his face. "That's all well in good to know," Gabriel sputtered, his mouth feeling with dust. "What's the point of our creeping through this building then?"
"This building is the access point for the entire organization, at least in this city.", Blake answered as he led them to a dingy bathroom with a door halfway ripped off its hinges. Spreading his arms out, "Welcome to the secret entrance, Rook."
Gabriel had a quizzical look on his face, "This is the entrance?"
Blake nodded his yes to the question. "Yes ,we are going to walk in this bathroom, hit the handle three times, then get transported to the actual entrance."
Gabriel glanced around the run down bathroom, a rat running past his show. Nothing but dirt, and the air smelling moldy making him hesitate with going forward. "Do we really have to go through here?"
Blake walked forward into the room, "Pretty much, the only other way into this building is locked to me at the moment."
Gabriel didn't want to go into the room, but he followed Blake doing his best to stay away from the single toilet. How grotesque the toilet looked, Gabriel wished he didn't have to be in the room. He did his best to breathe through his mouth, the smell making him gag. A small amount of bile came up, though he didn't puke thankfully.
Blake, not paying attention to Gabriel, walked to the toilet on the handle. "Fair warning it's going to spin you like crazy, so if you have to puke or feel sick there will be plants to your immediate left.", He warned.
"Gotcha", came Gabriel's reply, doing his best to steady himself as Blake started his count down.
"3,2,1.", Blake said before he moved the handle quickly three times in a row.
Gabriel closed his eyes, but felt nothing happening. He quickly opened them back up and saw they were still in the same room. Confused, Gabriel went to open his mouth before the room began to shake. Suddenly Gabriel felt a squeezing sensation like he was being forced through a tube, his breath being drained away as the world spinned around him, or was it him that was spinning. Colors of the rainbow wrapped around him, lighting up the room as it spinned faster and faster. Gabriel felt his stomach rumble, not happy with all the spinning. What felt like minutes which was truly just seconds, the world finally began to slow down from Gabriel. The colors disappear and are replaced by a white room.
Gabriel didn't hesitate, following Blake's advice he noticed a row of plants to his right. He quickly ran to the plants, emptying his stomach once he reached the row of plants. Gabriel felt a hand on his back as threw up, "Don't feel embarrassed Rook, I also threw up when I first arrived way back when.", Blake commented
Gabriel took in some deep breaths, spitting out the nasty taste of bile in his mouth as he began to clear. "I'm less worried about feeling embarrassed, and more worried if my stomach will stoo trying to jump up from my throat."
"Well, well, well look at the rat shit dragged in", A snidey british accent snarled from behind Gabriel.
The hand on his back disappeared as he heard Blake turn around, Gabriel assumed to talk to the guy. "Gibby, look at how much you've grown, the suit looks good on you.", Blake said, his voice becoming cheery as he did his best to defuse the situation.
"Cut the shit what the fuck are you doing, and for godsakes someone get his man off the ground.", Gibby demanded snapping his fingers. After a second he felt hands reach under his arm pits before pulling him to his feet. The world still felt wobbly as Gabriel was forced to turn around to face what he guessed was Gibby. Gabriel while a little wobbly focused on Gibby. Gibby was a little bit shorter than him, had a short buzz cut to his brown hair. He was a white male presumably from England based off of his accent. Gibby also was wearing a navy blue form fitted suit, with a white undershirt and navy blue tie. The suit was showing off all the muscle the man has gained over the years.
Gibby looked at Gabriel before letting out a small sigh. "Here clean yourself up mate", he commanded, reaching into his suit's front pocket taking out a cloth before tossing it at Gabriel. The person on Gabriel's right caught the cloth for him, putting the cloth in his hand as the hard grip on his right shoulder loosened. He quickly whipped his mouth clean, his hand glowing a little white as he tried healing the nausea a little in case a fight breaks out.
Blake stepped in front of Gabriel as he approached Gibby. "Listen, we just need to talk to the director and we'll be out your hare in a jiffy."
Gibby sneered before letting out a spit on the ground, "The director's busy, and the vice director is out helping clean up some mess that happened at a fair ground yesterday so I'm left in charge.", he stopped here before tilting his head at Blake. "Let's hope you weren't the cause of that situation. I was told a hundred normies wound up dead."
"Listen Gibby", Blake began.
Gibby stepped in Blake's face looking up at him. "You listen mate", he interrupted, his tone venomous. "First off it's Captain Gibson to you. Second I'm going to be putting you and your friend here under arrest for vandalism of public property, and breaking and entering. Any questions, no good!", he finished before snapping his fingers.
Five people dressed in black(not including the two already holding Gabriel) appeared surrounding Blake. They were dressed in what looked like tactical gear, with various objects hanging off their belts. They also had black masks with goggles on them that covered their face. Gabriel couldn't help but groan under his breath not really feeling like dealing with another bullshit situation because Blake messed up some stuff in the past.
