After resting for the night, the next day, both women got ready to go out again. Why? Because Evie was interested in buying a car.
They once again hopped into a taxi, and drove to a Rolls-Royce showroom. They paid the driver and walked in but there were no sales associates available.
They walked up to the receptionist desk but the young lady didn't raise her head up from her phone.
Evelyn rapped her knuckles on the desk.
"Excuse me, we'd like to look at some cars."
The girl raised her head and blew her gum loudly. She eyed them both up and down then let out a little giggle.
"Girls, we're not playing house here. I doubt you can afford any of the things in this place, please don't waste put time."
Evelyn narrowed her eyes.
"You should be happy I'm in a good mood today. If I took action against you, I would be accused of bullying."
The girl flat out laughed.
"You? Oh no, I'm so scared. What are you going to do, fire me?"
