When i entered edwards house it really looked quite normal a nice living room a nice kitchen the house definitely doesnt look like the house of someone who is on the abyss pathway.
Although i thought that i never expected his house to be unnormal since edward has always been cautious.
"good viktor go sit in a chair and just wait a moment"
I did as i was told and just waited around a bit when i started hearing some strange whispers in my head ranging from killing someone to killing yourself was something weird in this house or something?.
Soon edward came back with a small box that he put on the table and he sat himself besides me.
"edward is there something wrong with you're house i hear strange whispers or is this maybe the influence of the corruption that the bandages give me?"
"well it could be either to be honest but most likely the influence of the abyss lets first take your bandages off for now"
Wait it could be either so does that mean that there is something wrong with his house?.
I slowly took the bandages off my body trying to not make me feel much pain while doing so i wasnt sure what edwards plan was but unless he suprises me and hes a qualified doctor im planning on finding a real doctor later since i dont want to end up dying.
"good now that the bandages are off im going to get the bullet out of you"
He opened the box there was some weird medical tool inside that i never saw before he definitely looked like a con artist trying to look professional.
"edward im not sure if thats a good idea i mean do you even know how to do that kind of stuff?"
"no i dont"
Wait he really doesnt have any idea why the hell does he then want to operate on me?.
"but while i dont know the item in my hand is a sealed artifact it will let me safely operate on you"
"a sealed artifact what exactly is that?"
Even though im in pain and nervous i still dont forget to roleplay since my so called teacher never really told me what artifacts are i should play dumb and also maybe i can find out what type of artifact it is.
"its a mystical item created by the remains of a beyonder most often they have special abillities but also drawbacks so you dont have to worry"
"stand up from the chair and lay on the table its the best place to operate try to not move to much"
I did as he asked being very nervous although i do feel safer that he has a sealed artifact for this i still never had a bullet removed.
He then slowly made this weird artifact enter the wound he then moved it inside around which hurt a ton i slowly started to shake more and more.
"how bad is the pain viktor if you prefer i can try to knock you out without giving you brain damage then you wouldnt have to feel the operation?"
Not only did it not sound convincing that he can knock me out without giving me some kind of damage i also didnt like the thought of being unconscious next to a serial killer.
"no thank you i think im good"
He continued after that with trying to find the bullet it hurt a ton but i just tried to think about other things while he did so although it didnt help to much.
"i found the bullet but its quite deep inside and hart to get it out ill make another small hole to get it out"
I would like to decline if it wasnt my life on the table soon he cut a hole near the wound which also hurt right now i truly missed modern medicine i wonder if there are any pain killers in a world full of magic there should definitely exist something like that.
He soon got the bullet out and the made some stiches after the operation was over i was pretty much done for it feelt more like a torture session.
"good i will get some bandages from the basement while that wait for me here"
I wonder if bandages in the basement are actually clean enough to put it ony my wounds.
While he went into his basement i was just trying to rest after this hard day but while it did give me pain there were also positive sides the money that we stole from louis perry looked like a lot although im not sure how high my percentage of the rob will be i think its enough to quit my job finally.
Also although after this entire robbery and fight to the death with louis perry i also feelt my potion digest quite a bit well i guess that was to be expected i not only went with my desires which is a core principle in the abyss pathway im atleast assuming that even in the higher sequences this will be important and to that i acted the name of the potion i robbed to get money which was my desire at that time and also helped with the murder of a guy i think this is quite good acting.
Soon edward came back with the bandages after he bandaged me i did feel slightly better but i was quite exhausted still i lost quite a lot of blood and i also ran the entire night without sleep right now its 6 in the morning.
"before you can go and rest i still need some of you're blood"
"for what do you need it?"
"although you tried to stop the bleeding while we were running away im sure there are drops of blood everywhere if used for divination it could be used to find you so please give me one of you're hands to get a few bloods of drops i can disrupt divinations"
I wonder why he didnt take some of my blood that i lost while he took that bullet out of me did he just forget it i put my left hand up and he made a tiny cut in one of my fingers and took the blood with him although i dont really like giving my blood especially in this world where beyonders can do long range curses with the blood of the target but i dont have much of a choice here.
"go and rest a bit viktor since its still only 6 in the morning you can still sleep a bit fortunately i have a guest room since i wouldn't want you to bleed my bed full"
When i went into the bed it really was easy to fall asleep especially after this hard night.
