I woke up excited and nervous because edward told me yesterday that we will do the robbery today its a chance to digest my potion but even more importantly its a chance to make money and finally have a better lifestyle.
Doing my morning routine i began to think about what exactly we will need to do for the robbery to be succesful if possible it would be best not to even be seen robbing him and when he wakes up all things of value would be gone but even if he sees us beforehand it wouldn't be to bad oh right we should also know what church he believes in i wonder if edward has found it out already.
Soon i heard a knock at the door i knew who it will be and opened the door.
"hello edward come inside"
"thanks viktor"
Edward sat himself on one of the chairs while i got him a glass of water.
"so to begin the villa he lives in has 2 bodyguards one whos protecting him by day one by night when he sleeps both of them are fairly experienced but they arent beyonders atleast"
I listened diligently to his explanation since i need to understand as much as possible.
"teacher do we know what church he believes in you once said its important"
"yeah i found out about it although it wasnt hard to guess since he came from intis he believes in the god of machinery"
Wait so the guy who believes in the god of machinery and steam bought low quality machinery and got his workers injured because of it? im unsure how much he truly believes in his god.
"how did you find out about it teacher?"
Although it isnt needed that i know this now maybe i can learn more how to gather info for the next time.
"it wasnt hard i was invited to a party of someone near him and there i got the conversation to the factory that exploded and slowly asked some questions"
Wait what edward got invited to such a party although it might not be a noble party you still cant just enter such a party i would find it more believable if he cut the skin off from one of the invited guests and put it on himself to gather info.
But if he really was invited to such a party edward needs to have some kind of status maybe not that of a noble but he should be known then maybe i should try to investigate sometime.
"so lets begin with the plan we wait till 2 in the morning and then start going closer to the villa i then throw a sleeping charm at the bodyguard who protects the villa at night then we go in and put the other guy and louis perry to sleep after that we just rob"
"wait so first you have a sleeping charm? and also isnt the plan a bit to simple?"
"i got the sleeping charm from a beyonder gathering its a place where wild beyonders who arent part of an church meet and sell items most of it isnt that useful but such little things can come handy sometimes"
"and for the plan its best always to make simple but good plans rather than overcomplicated ones"
"thanks for the advice teacher"
"good for now just do what you do everyday maybe try not to exhaust yourself to much and rather than normaly going to sleep meet me at crossing street 8 at midnight"
At midnight since we only plan on attacking at 2 in the morning will we wait 2 hours and watch the villa? well i guess i will see i went outside and soon arrived at my workplace.
I worked diligently the whole time and also didnt talk much today since even though nothing much might happen and we just silently rob him its still hard not to think of scenarios where its different.
Soon my work was finally over i then went home and rested a bit when midnight came i went outside and went to crossing street 8 it wasnt to far away fortunately.
There was nobody on the streets i did see a few homeless tramps here and there sleeping and some walking and looking for food soon i was able to see edward and went to him.
"so what are we going to do now teacher?"
"of course we'll walk to the house"
Wait did he just say walk hes not serious is he?.
"teacher i think you meant we go and look for a carriage right?"
"no i didnt we will walk to iris street its safer not to go with a carriage even if we dont directly go to iris street with the carriage if its anywhere near it its still suspicious"
"Well you got a point but iris street is far away and i mean very far away maybe we take a carriage for just half the way?"
"you dont need to worry about time we still have atleast 2 hours as long as we dont take breaks we should be able to arrive within 2 hours"
And like this the most terrible workout of my life began although one might think that im overreacting im really not if you walked to iris street from here it would take around 4 hours for a normal person if you really dont take small breaks maybe 3 hours but we wanted to be there before 2 hours because of this we ran there but since it was in the night and we did this so we didnt raise suspicion we needed to be very silent while running.
Of course it did help that i was a beyonder but not that much a criminal only gets a slight buff with stamina and speed but i can only thank the gods that viktors body is quite good for running if i did this in my old body i would have surely collapsed.
We finaly arrived at iris street after that we slowed down a lot so to not make any noise and we also made sure not to be seen since almost every house here is a villa and costs alot most have security so we needed to be extra careful.
It was quite a beautiful street compared to the slums where i live there are a lot of trees and bushes here and there to make it look better and the villas also looked quite good i did wonder if im ever able to live in such a villa one day.
We soon arrived at villa 4 its the one owned by our target louis perry we hid behind a few bushes and one tree and waited a bit the security guard moved every few minutes going around the villa then coming back and sitting himself on a chair.
Watching him like this made him look like some npc in a video game.
"good wait here let me go near him to put him to sleep"
Edward went and hid himself more near the villa but then he stoped and just continued to hide behind a trashcan soon the security guard stands up and goes another round checking all sides of the villa edward then finally started to move again he slowly followed the guard sadly after he followed him im not able to see what he does after that maybe i should ask him later if i dont forget.
Soon i saw edward coming back he looked unharmed and also doesnt have any blood on his clothes that probably meant everything went according to the plan.
"lets go we dont have all night"
We went into the house trying not to make any sounds edward gave me a slumber charm.
He then whispered something in my ear in some weird language.
"this is the incantation for the charm when you throw it in a room whisper this its hermes"
So thats why i didnt understand it but could he not have told me that beforehand i heard it once and wasnt even sure what it was what if i say it differently.
But edward already is walking away from me trying to find the room where the other bodyguard is sleeping in most likely.
So i just went and found the masters bedroom under the doors gap i threw the sleeping charm in and whispered the thing he said in hermes as good as i could.
After i whispered the incantation i feelt something weird from the charm it looked like it activated.
I went slowly away from the master bedroom and then went back where me and edward entered to wait for edward to come back.
A few minutes later he came back.
"did everything work out by you viktor?"
"yeah it did i was somehow able to say the right incantation"
although we talked we were still very quiet while doing so.
"good lets go and look for anything of value when you find something tell me"
Edward went through the living room first and i went to the kitchen i found some silverware and other costly dinner items but i didnt think we would take them since theres only so much that we can carry of course since edward asked me to tell him when i find something valuable i did plan on doing that since i wasnt to useful till now.
"edward i found a lot of silverware it looks costly do you want to take a look at it?"
"yeah im coming"
Edward then took a bag out of his jacket its a small one that looks kinda weird then he puts one silverware after the other inside it after the first few it should have been easily full but it somehow fitted everything inside.
"what kind of bag is that is it some magical backpack?"
"well yes and no its one made with a ritual that i made a few days ago"
Hm a bag created with a ritual but such powers are more like from the door pathway or the error pathway although the abyss pathway wasnt fully explored its hard to imagine them getting space control.
"how does it function and how exactly did you make it? although im only at sequence 9 i cant imagine how the criminal potion goes from being good with weapons to we can make bags that have infinite space"
"it doesnt have infinite space just a small room of space its connected with the abyss although only a little and only for a limited time"
"the abyss isnt that dangerous and how did you connect a bag to the abyss?"
"it isnt to dangerous so dont worry the items might get a small coruption but as long as i soon take them out again its not a big problem and for how to make it you will find it out yourself once you become a higher sequence and now rather than talking you should continue searching for valuable things"
So the abyss can be used in such ways huh and it was a ritual so atleast hes a sequence 7 i continued to search for items in the bathroom i found a few earrings what i found quite weird since he doesnt have an official wife maybe he has a secret relationship with a woman?.
Edward also found a few watches who seemed valuable and i found a safe it was in a big room that looked like the working room from louis edward opened the safe where a lot of money was inside although im unsure how much it is.
But then when we were putting the money in the bag of edward i heard a gunshot when i looked behind i saw a figure in the dark with a gun in his hands i rolled to the side away from the open door so he couldn't see me edward had a bit of a slower reaction but still rolled to the side for a short moment i thought he was dead but the hit in his back didnt seem to have killed him atleast
I was going through my head who this might be could it be that i fucked up the incantation no im sure it worked could there be a third bodyguard maybe after the factory incident louis hired secretly a third bodyguard that only woke up just now?.
Edward peeked at the doorway and shoot a few bullets in the dark i wouldnt be able to tell if edward hit him or not since its quite dark considering the darkness being able to hit edward so precisely with a handgun no less shows that the mysterious guy is a good shooter
Then the mysterious man began shooting again but rather than by the doorway he shot through the walls hoping to hit one of us but fortunately he doesnt seem to have to many bullets since after just 4 shots he stoped.
"viktor when i run i want you to fire at that guy okay?"
What edward said wasnt to loud but since we didnt fire just now the mysterious guy might hear it.
"are you sure thats the best way?"
"yes the gun that guy is using should only have 6 bullets if its modified maybe a few more but he already shot 5 times atleast we should try to attack now we also need to end this fight fast since those gunshots will surely wake the neighbors up and so longer we do nothing so worse the situation will become"
After saying that edward stood up i wasnt able to see his injury clearly because of the darkness only that hes bleeding atleast.
Then edward sprinted outside of the doorway after he did that i peeked through the doorway and saw the shooter near the dinner table i shoot at him but he rolled to the ground rather than shooting back at me was what we did unexpected or does he not have any bullets left?.
Edward to my suprise rather than directly fighting him went to the kitchen and took cover there.
Wait no this positon is quite good we can shoot from 2 different sides now.
But before we could do any of that the mysterious guy out of nowhere sprinted to the kitchen i tried to react fast but all my shots were a bit to late from hitting him he was a lot more fast than i would have expected but i didnt have the time to think about that and went outside of my room to go and help edward.
When i ran to the kitchen although i didnt see to clearly i saw that edward and the other guy were in a fist fight and edward was clearly losing i took my gun and shoot at his chest but he jumped to the side but it fortunately still hit his right leg before any of the pain even got to the mysterious guy edward tackled him trying to keep him down trying to not make him move to much i shot again trying to hit his heart but he was able to move enough that it only hit his shoulder after that he was able to hit edward on his wound and was able to get away from edward he then ran to me and even though i blocked his hit with my arms my arms were hurting a ton and after the hit he hit me in the stomach with his knee in this time edward was already up again and shot a bullet at him which sadly missed since i was so close he wasnt able to shoot to clearly on him the mysterious guy ran back again to the kitchen table he quickly knocked the table down and hid behind it.
Both me and edward arent peeking through the door right now since this guy is quite strong im even thinking of running away somehow.
"hey you bastard thieves how long are you gonna spend hiding there cant even win a 1 against 2 fight?"
The mysterious guy said something the first time and somehow it made me quite angry is it my criminal potion who isnt digested yet reacting up? i almost just want to go and fight him in a fist fight.
"dont react to what he says we peek at the same time 3 2 1 go"
Both of peek at the same time and shoot at him but hes still hiding behind the table so we shot a few bullets through it hoping to hit him with some luck after each of us wasted 3 bullets on this we both hid again.
"teacher maybe we should run away?"
"no although theres a window in the kitchen its to small to go through and going through the front door without killing him is just to risky viktor you go out and attack him close range use your gun or fists when i see a chance i shoot at him"
"okay"
Although i would like to decline this risky mission i knew that arguing now wouldnt bring much so i just made a sprint for it while edward peeked through the doorway to make sure i dont get shot while running to him.
I went behind the table where the mysterious guy was hiding behind when i saw him he shot me in the stomach although im unsure if its fatal it definetly feelt like it i tried to ignore the pain and shaking hands and shot at him but in that time i heard another gunshot not from the mysterious guy or from me edward shot through the table at the enemy and hit him straight through the head.
Edward went and lit a candle while i holded my stomach so not to much blood goes out.
When the candle was lit i saw who the mysterious attacker was it was louis perry.
"what the hell im sure i made the right incantation"
Even though i was in great pain i still fellt completly confused did we really have such a hard fight against some rich kid? imagine i die from some rich ceo who doesnt pay his workers enough for what did i even come in this world then.
"how the hell did we have such a hard fight against someone like him?"
"you arent seeing the situation clearly viktor louis perry seems to have been a beyonder"
"wait for real?"
Well now thinking about the fight he was way to athletic but i didnt expect to find another beyonder this soon
Edward went to the corpse and put the entire corpse in his bag which looked truly weird.
Then he went to the kitchen quickly and grabed a lot of napkins and gave it to me.
"try to put this on your wound we need to leave now"
Even fully in pain me and edward went outside we didnt go the front door but through the one in the backyard.
We went outside and went through a few bushes and trashcans to not get noticed by the other security guards of other villas because they were fully armed and active it seems like they already noticed the gunshots a while ago but rather than coming inside they wait outside still protecting the houses they were hired to protect.
Today was definitely the worst night since i transmigrated not only did the bullet hurt a ton but walking for who knows how long and watching not to get seen was another torture on top i thought that i would collapse every second but i somehow continued after we were a bit more far away from iris street but im still nowhere near home edward made a quick stop betwenn a few trashcans.
Then he took something out of his bag bandages if he had that the entire time why only show them now i constantly need to apply pressure with the napkins that not to much blood leaks and the blood that leaks i try to put it on my clothes somewhere at places that arent as noticable better than letting it drip onto the ground and someone finding it later and using it to divine about me atleast.
"victor since my wound is on my backside i cant bandage it good myself please do it for me you should know atleast the basics right?"
Since we didnt have to much time i didnt argue since who knows when police will come no more like who knows if they aren't already there where we broke into and trying to find us.
After putting the bandages on i wanted to put them on myself but viktor stoped me.
"its not a good idea to use them on you they were already in my bag for a while and are corupted from the abyss since you're only a sequence 9 it might have bad effects on you"
"will it kill me if i bandage myself and if not how bad are the side effects?"
"it wont kill you but you're emotions and desires will be amplified in you're current condition im scared you might lose control later on"
"if i dont put those bandages on im scared i will run out of blood before i lose control so its better to try this"
Although im not sure which option is safer i still think putting those bandages on is the better decision since even though it might risk having some control lose and corruption its better than running out of blood soon since the way back is still quite far its also hard to look at your surroundings when you have to put pressure on your wound.
"let me take those napkins from you since we dont want to leave a trail"
He put the napkins in his magical abyss bag and then we continued to walk back to the east borough soon we saw more cops and needed to somehow avoid them seeing us which was quite tricky but we were somehow able to manage it.
When we went back to the east borough i wanted to go back home as soon as possible but edward stopped me.
"come back to my house i have something to help you with you're wounds"
He walked infront of me and 15minutes later we were by his house although i did wonder how many houses he has since he was invited to a party from a rich person he definitely doesnt just live in the east borough.
