In the darkness of the night, Sawan returned to his room. The room was completely silent, except for Sawan's heavy breathing. He closed the door and went straight to his bed. Suddenly, Sawan's laughter pierced the silence. He was laughing like a madman, staring at the ceiling.
The same scene flashed before his eyes again and again—looking down from the window and Komal leaving in the car with that boy (Rahul). Sawan's laughter held not pain, but a bitter plan. He turned over and muttered into the darkness,
"You can't get the butter with a straight finger, Sawan... Now it's time to bend it. Komal is mine, and those who dare to touch what's mine have to pay the price."
The next morning, Sawan arrived at the office, fresh and dressed. He had put on the mask of a very polite and hardworking employee. He sat at his desk, engrossed in files. Just then, Payal's voice echoed through the office corridor. Komal was coming in, chatting with her friends.
Komal spotted Sawan. She approached her and asked with a smile, "
Good morning, Sawan! How's work going? Any problems?"
Sawan looked at Komal with those deep, mysterious eyes and said in a low voice, "Everything's going well, Ma'am. I have your guidance." Komal moved on, impressed by his behavior, but Sawan's eyes were no longer on her, but on the lookout for prey.
Sawan noticed Rahul sitting at his desk, arrogantly talking to someone on the phone. Just then, Tanya, the most beautiful and bubbly girl in the office, walked toward Rahul, two cups of hot coffee in her hand. Tanya had a slight crush on Rahul and often found excuses to be close to him.
Sawan seized the opportunity. As Tanya approached Rahul's desk, Sawan deftly placed her long leg in between. Tanya lost her balance, and "
splash!" hot coffee splashed directly onto Rahul's expensive white shirt and face.
Saavan stood in a corner, watching the scene unfold, a very faint, almost invisible smile on his face.
Rahul stood up suddenly. Tanya panicked, "Oh my God! Sorry Rahul... really sorry! I don't know how I slipped.
" Seeing Tanya's beauty and her nervousness, Rahul's anger subsided instantly. He was the biggest playboy in the office, and he didn't want to miss this opportunity to get close to a girl like Tanya.
"
It's okay, Tanya, relax! It happens," Rahul said sweetly, his shirt burning badly.
Just then, Saavan intervened, acting hysterically,
"Oh! That's too bad. Rahul, I guess Tanya slipped because of me. Sorry, man! I'll get you another cup of coffee."
Saavan deliberately called Rahul "
brother" and took advantage of his generosity in front of Tanya. Rahul, now trying to be a hero to Tanya, smiled and said, "Hey Saavan, it's okay, friend! Tanya apologized, that's enough. You go do your work."
Tanya continued apologizing, and Rahul stared at her. Rahul was now feeling a desire for Komal as well as Tanya. Saavan stepped back and, leaning against a pillar, watched the scene.
Saavan noticed that Komal, standing at a distance, was also watching. Komal's face was a little confused at the closeness between Rahul and Tanya. Saavan's next move was now ready.
