Chapter 27 - chapter 27

The atmosphere in the office was tense. Rahul was looking at Aryan. "I can clearly see he's thinking something bad about me. There's venom in his eyes," Rahul thought to himself. Aryan didn't even try to hide his feelings. His small stature and his silent stare at Rahul were nothing short of an attack. Aryan gathered his files and thought, "

Two or three more hours... then I'll finish my work here. I don't want to stay in this dirty place any longer."

Komal and Rahul were having a heated argument in the parking lot below the office. Komal shouted angrily,

"Why were you so close to that Tanya? I saw everything!"

Rahul clarified irritably, "Are you crazy? She accidentally spilled the coffee, that's all! What's my fault?"

Rahul somehow calmed Komal down, got her into the car, and drove away. Aryan watched all this from the office window above. There was a creepy smile on his face. He was enjoying watching this rift between Komal and Rahul. "Oh my god... the fire has just begun," Aryan muttered.

Aryan noticed Tanya still working at her desk. He went over to her and said in a very sweet voice,

"Tanya, Rahul left with Komal. Why are you staying here? Your work is over, you should go home too."

Tanya said with a faint smile,

"Just a little more left, then I'll leave too." Aryan left her there and walked out of the office.

The next day was Sunday. Aryan was at home, a strange sense of peace and unease etched into his face. He thought,

"Tomorrow's a holiday, I'll go for a walk." Then he laughed to himself,

"Who's going for a walk? I'll just sleep at home."

But his mind was taking him elsewhere.

By noon, Aryan caught the metro. He arrived at the old, infamous area of the city where he'd spent his childhood. The same place where he'd been kidnapped years ago when he'd run away.

Aryan hid behind an old, dilapidated building and watched. In the distance, some thugs were talking to a man. Seeing the man's face, Aryan's eyes turned bloodshot. "

This is the one... the one who ruined my childhood," Aryan recognized.

The scene shifts to the previous night, when Aryan was searching on his computer. He had dug up the man's entire history. His name was 'Kenji'. He was just a petty kidnapper. No, he was a major international gangster. He was involved in drug trafficking, child trafficking, and arms supply. Most importantly, he was a member of Japan's dreaded Yakuza gang. He worked in close ties with high-ranking government officials, making him impossible to catch.
