Chapter 31 - chapter 31

It was 9 p.m. The entire office was silent, only the sound of keyboards could be heard. Aryan and Komal were busy at their desks. After finishing work, Aryan looked out the window. Downstairs, Rahul and Komal were having another heated argument. This time, Rahul crossed all limits; he left Komal alone, got into his car, and sped away.

Aryan saw all this from upstairs. A ravenous smile appeared on his face. He quickly picked up his bag, put on his coat, and ran toward the elevator.

Aryan wanted to follow Komal, but he didn't want her to get suspicious. As he got off the elevator, he saw Komal walking toward the metro station. Aryan deliberately placed a loud order at a food stall on the way to draw Komal's attention. Komal glanced back, but then continued on.

Aryan ran back the other way and appeared right in front of Komal. "

Hey Komal, ma'am! You here?"

Aryan pretended to be surprised.

Komal asked tiredly, "

Aryan? You were working overtime at the office, right?"

Aryan smiled and replied,

Work finished early, so I thought I'd head home. By the way, why are you going alone?"

Komal was in a very bad mood. Aryan seized the opportunity and said, "

Ma'am, you look very upset. Come on, there's a nice place nearby; we'll have a drink, you'll enjoy it."

Komal needed company at this time. She immediately agreed. They went to a bar and sat there until about 12 o'clock at night. Between the alcohol and the conversation, Komal was trying to forget Rahul's grief.

It was 1 o'clock in the night. They reached the metro station. Komal faltered and said, "If I miss this metro, I won't be able to get home."

Aryan offered reassurance, "Don't worry, my house is also near yours."

Komal looked at Aryan intently on the subway. "It's strange, I take this subway every day, but I've never seen you."

Aryan rolled his eyes and lied, "

Maybe our timings were different. I usually leave a little early."

During the conversation, Aryan played his real trick. "

Ma'am, it's very late. For safety's sake, can I take your number? So I can be sure you've reached home."

Komal, without thinking, took out her phone and said, "

Okay, take your number."

Aryan dropped Komal off at her house. When Komal went inside, Aryan stood alone on the street. He looked at Komal's number on his phone and kissed her.

He reached his house, turned on the lights, and stood in front of the mirror. Komal's scent still lingered on his coat. The Aryan inside Saavan was now completely dominant. And this time I will never let you escape."

Then our scene shifts to Komal. Komal is having a severe headache.

Komal was sitting on her bed, drenched in sweat. The closed doors of her memory had suddenly opened. The torture, the walls of the terrifying room where Aryan had imprisoned her, and that hateful love—it was all real. Komal looked at her trembling palms. "It wasn't a dream... it was all real. But if it was real, then how did I end up here, trapped in this trap of marriage with Rahul? How did I come to this world?"

Komal had heard from her grandfather as a child and read in some ancient scriptures that this universe is divided into seven afterlife worlds. Each afterlife has a personality similar to our own. Komal realized that Sawan was probably part of this principle. In one world, he was the innocent Sawan, and in the other, he was the ferocious Aryan who tortures. But what frightened her most was whether Aryan had broken the boundaries of all seven worlds? Was he present everywhere at the same time?

"Is Sawan the Aryan I loved? Or is this another, even more dangerous personality of his?

" Komal resolved to herself that she would find out this secret. Forgetting Rahul and Tanya's deception, she was now going after this cosmic hunter.

The next morning, Sawan entered the office with his 7-foot-tall frame. He held a hot cup of coffee for Komal. He wanted to build on the previous night's intimacy. But as he glanced at Komal's desk, it was empty.

It was 10 a.m. Sawan was perplexed.

"Komal always comes in early, so what happened today?" He placed the coffee on the table and sat down in his seat. He squinted at the door. Every passing minute in the office was making the Aryan inside Sawan restless. He thought,

"If she doesn't come in before the coffee gets cold, I'll go to her house myself."

Just then, the heavy glass door of the office opened. Komal entered, but her gait was devoid of the same gentleness. She walked very slowly, as if her feet were chained. As she approached Sawan, Sawan's heart skipped a beat.

Dark circles were clearly visible under Komal's eyes. Her eyes were red, as if she hadn't slept in weeks. She stopped in front of Saavan. Saavan tried to look into her eyes, but all he saw was an endless void.

"Komal, ma'am... are you alright? I've got coffee for you," Saavan tried to keep his voice as soft as possible.

Komal looked at him, but she saw not Saavan, but the same terrifying Aryan. She thought to herself, "You may be different in all the worlds, Aryan, but those eyes of yours... they never change."

Komal picked up the coffee cup without saying a word. Her hands were trembling slightly. Saavan watched her intently. He couldn't understand whether Komal's condition was due to Rahul's betrayal or whether she had discovered something else.

Just then, Komal asked in a low voice, "

Saavan... do you ever feel like you don't belong here? Like you came here from another world?"

A creepy smile appeared on Saavan's face. He leaned close to Komal's face and said, "No matter what the world is, Komal... you and I will always be together. That's destiny."

Komal's hair stood on end. She was now convinced that the 'Aryan' she had been running from was standing before her in the form of Saavan. But she still wanted to confirm whether this was the same man she had loved or some other, more sinister side of him.

Rahul entered the office at that moment. As soon as he saw Saavan and Komal standing close together, irritation became clearly visible on his face.

"Komal! Why are you talking so much to this junior? Come on, go to your desk!"

Rahul shouted.

Saavan slowly turned her head and looked at Rahul. The brutality in Saavan's eyes at that moment made Rahul step back. Aryan said nothing, but his silence carried a death message. Komal, hiding the dark circles under her eyes with her fingers, turned back to her desk.
