At this point, many people should be wondering how a supposedly easy hunt could have been so bloody, leaving behind our elf soaked in blood and his companion just as covered in blood.
To understand the situation, let's go back in time to see where everything went wrong.
-Flashback-
"Listen to me, Ivy. We need to start to attract them all in one zone of this plains."
I quickly search for a particular move in the move set of Ivy.
(I'd better recall all her move otherwise in a serious threat I'll risks to be in danger.)
[Aromatherapy: The user releases a soothing scent that heals all status problems affecting the user's party and a sweet scent that harshly lowers opposing Pokémon's evasiveness.]
(Well this move don't have exactly the same description as I recall in the game but it even better now.)
I continued, "Depending on how many we attract, we'll see how we proceed."
"Sni!!" ( ͡°ᴥ ͡° ʋ) she gives me the legendary Side-eyes.
"Don't worry, everything's going to be fine. Besides, there are only goblins and kobolds, I don't see how it could go wrong."
"And in the worst case scenario, we'll get on the bike and wear them down."
"Sni!" (≧▽≦)
Shaking her head, she seemed ready to proceed.
Then a faint pastel pink and green light began to spread around the area. The smell was truly out of this world.
(It reminded me of a fruity scent like vanilla and mint, but really, really fresh.)
Strangely, perhaps because of the effects of the movement, this scent gave me a wave of relaxation, something I only felt in my childhood at my grandparents' house, it was a rainy day in front of the fireplace during the school holidays.
And with the fresh wind which just blows my hairs, this journey just begins with a great auspice.
Then the smell started to get stronger and just like the wind until I began to relax myself like I'd never experienced before.
(Humm....., if I wasn't in a dangerous wild areas I would probably have a good nap right now, the rain is really fresh and the fire is really warm.)
But as soon as that thought passed through my mind, a serious gust hit my face.
(Hmm...what rain? What fire?)
(I wasn't in the wild with a reptilian? Or was it Igi.....or Iby or rather Ibuprofen?)
After a little trough, I come back with a great conclusion.
(...To much through and I don't really care right now.)
(I'd better sleep now, I have a new game to stream tomorrow.) I take i little time to see the program of tomorrow morning.
(If I recall correctly it was a request by °DarkSuke007 and accepted by nearly all the chat.)
I read the description of the most liked request description.
(Blind Test? It be a while, and the name of the game is 'The Coffin Of Andy and Leyley'. A horror game that helps to grow 'bond' in brother-sister relationship?)
(Well it seems pretty chilling for me.)
-3 POV-
While Lucas was there relaxed with some doubting memory or fantasy, and Ivy concerned about the current state of her trainer, most of the scents created by Aromatherapy are diffused thanks to the powerful influence of the wind from the plain.
From the forest that he has not just left some time ago, there are weak but numerous monsters.
From the Adonis forest which is still quite distant and but which has tidelands, natural habitats of the Lizardman (not lore accurate.)
And even at the jagged cliffs that rimmed the desolate plain, where Harpies are quickly in search with leathery wings to the source of this delicious smells.
Thus, all the monsters in the area who caught even a glimpse of the divinely intoxicating scent move at full speed to kill its source.
Their reason for this is quite complicated, but for us fanfiction readers, if we were capable of following lengthy explanations, we wouldn't be here, let alone on this app, so I'll explain it as simply as possible.
"Hug-hug red water (blood) smells good, so tastes good, hug-hugh strange smell (Ivy's aromatherapy) smells too much good, so tastes good."
[I don't know why I do this, but I already do it, so whether you like it or not, it's not my problem.]
-Return Lucas POV-
And out of nowhere, a pair of twirling vines woke me from my twisted fantasy and reminded me of Earth.
"Ouch!!! What the hell is going on right----" And I see her look at me with a worried expression.
"---Oohh Ivy it you, what is the problem right now???"
I asked her what the purpose of the slap was, and she looked at me for three seconds and just directed my head with her vine towards a strange wave of dust.
"Sniff!!"(。◕‿◕。)➜
She seemed quite aware of the events that had transpired during my little mental expedition.
"Yes, I can see that it's dust, which is rather strange considering---" Another, more relevant thought struck me: "-----but wait, something even more important... where are"The monsters that were here earlier?"
I was still watching the strange dust cloud approach, waiting for her answer.
"SNI???" (?・・)--->
I looked away from the dust cloud to the spot Ivy had led me to, but she redirected my gaze back to the same dust cloud from earlier.
"What? Are you looking in the wrong spot? I can't see anything at all now-"
[Vine Whip]
-SLAP-
"AAARRRRRRHHHH stop stop, okay okay okay, I'll look more closely."
I looked more closely, unconsciously using my psychic abilities, at the dust cloud that seemed to be dangerously approaching our position.
"Huh??" Why am I seeing this in 4K at 60FPS???
I didn't even have time to process my sudden good eyesight because a serious threat just took hold of my mind.
"FIRSTLY, WHY ARE THERE MONSTERS IN THESE STORMS???"
"SECONDLY, WHY ARE THERE SO MANY MONSTERS IN AN AREA LIKE THIS???"
"AND SERIOUSLY, THIRTY, WHY ARE THEY RUNNING LIKE THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE???"
These monsters were running as if they'd seen a 5 kg piece of Beef Bourguignon for less than €10.
{Author's Note: The wildest dream I've ever had, it started with a trip to the supermarket and ended with a chase through Paris. Sorry for the distraction, enjoy.}
And that wasn't even the most surprising part, and most of them weren't even running normally.
Some They were running frantically as if there were no tomorrow.
Others were running like the Titans from 'Attack on Titan,' and some at the front were even doing a Naruto Run with the most vicious faces I've ever seen.
Then I looked at the first leader of the line, and this one seemed really familiar.
(Wait, this one wasn't the one I ran away from as soon as I saw it.)
You might be wondering how I would recognize a particular goblin among so many others?
Well, besides the fear I felt when I saw it and the look that will never leave my mind, it was running like a breast.
WITH ALL THE LEGS AND ARMS.
(Seriously, it seems while I was lost in the scent, the monsters were also attracted by the smell and began to move in our direction.)
Unlike the twenty or thirty I'd expected, there were at least a hundred in my vision.
"But really, this situation is not serious, how many are hiding in the surrounding area to be able to appear so many just because of this smell of pastel!!!"
There weren't just goblins and kobolds. There are also Lizard who have much vitality to my liking.
Some Harpy flying around at an impressive speed.
And what looks like?
"Bugbear?"
(Oh my Mew, I don't know where I read this but I think there are know to be monster that are seriously faster than there looks, and this is not a joke besides.)
There are also monsters know for there strength and defense which are on par with a Minotaur but seriously more agile. That makes there base potential high among monsters in the Large Tree Labyrinth.
"AND THERE ARE FIVE ON TOP OF THAT!!!"
But there was not the most serious treat in this group of threats, no no no, it was him.
"A FUCKING BLOODY RED DINOSAURS
And this monster is 5 meters tall.
"Nah, we'd lose."
And without another thought, I was about to hop on my bike and flee the area as quickly as possible.
But it seems Ivy has another idea in mind.
"Ouch!!! What the hell is going on this time?" He-----where even all these monsters come from???" I asked her, surprised, before she looked at me as if it was all my fault.
"SNI!!!!" (ಠ益ಠლ) She looked like she'd be ready to hit me again if it continued to stare at her in disbelief, so I averted my gaze from her, looking around for a way out. But it seemed like we were, or rather would soon be, surrounded.
"You don't want to run?"
"SNI"(≧▽≦)
I don't even know how she thinks she can kill them.
Then I asked her with a little hope in my heart.
"Ivy, do you think you have enough energy to take care of them?"
For the first time since we met, (which is not even a day) I glimpsed a hint of doubt but suddenly, she put a confident and arrogant face that could have convinced me if I didn't sense her concerned about my psychic abilities.
Speaking of which, I've managed to become quite dressed up with her, but now's not the time to think about that.
"Okay but even if you have this energy you don't have a long-range move except of Disarming Voice, but we don't know if it'll affect all the monsters."
"SNI"✧\(>o<)ノ✧
She looks at me like if she knows something I don't know.
A take a little break to think a little about another alternative to discourage her.
"And I don't see a world where Repel can be useful with all that smell lingering around." I continue to search for reason to make her capitulate.
.
.
.
.
"And how do you plan to take care of it anyway?"
