After spending a moment thinking about our rather complex situation,
I finally turned my attention to the men who had attacked us- especially me.
( Seeing their eyes rolled back, if not for the fact that we had only have the will to neutralized them, an untrained observer might have believed they were already dead.)
Watching the blood quickly spreading across the ground, a thought crossed my mind.
( Well… they wouldn't be entirely wrong. Especially considering the face of the one Ivy threw…)
After a quick roll back of Ivy move, I don't think anyone mach the effects of this guy.
( What move had she even used on that guy?)
It might sound like an exaggeration, but if it weren't for her, I would probably have been pierced by one of the two arrows that had flown toward me earlier.
"A little sword, a knife set… and a skinning kit. I'll keep them, even if I don't know how to use them yet."
Next, I picked up a small pouch.
"A bag of dried meat. Pretty light, but at least it'll give us some variety besides milk."
Then, a sudden thought came to me.
"Ivy, can you eat this meat?"
I asked out of pure curiosity. As far as I knew, Pokémon in the anime didn't eat meat… though the whole Slowpoke tail situation still left room for doubt.
She approached calmly, grabbed the piece of dried meat with her vines—which seemed slightly longer than before—and examined it for a brief moment.
Then she threw it directly at my face.
"Okay, okay, I get it."
I wiped my face with a sigh.
"Meat of this quality probably doesn't suit your refined palate, does it?"
Strangely enough, my sarcastic remark didn't seem entirely wrong, judging by the arrogant expression she somehow managed to display—even while covered in drying blood.
Shaking my head, I stored the dried meat away. It didn't appeal to me much either.
Instead, I handed her a bottle of milk while continuing my search.
"CLINK. CLINK.CLINK. CLINK."
That sound immediately caught my attention.
I quickly located its source: a small pouch filled with coins.
"A coin purse… Not sure how much is inside, but I'm pretty sure that it not much, of course it's better than nothing."
A faint smile appeared on my face.
A wise rat once said that everything had value.
And besides… you can never have too much money.
I stored the pouch away without hesitation.
Next, I found a small object.
"A whistle… or maybe a flute?"
I examined it briefly before keeping it as well.
"If it's a signaling tool, it could be dangerous to leave it with them."
After thinking for about two seconds, I decided to take everything of value—including their clothes.
For safety reasons, of course.
( I wasn't a monster, though. I left them their underwear.)
Ivy gave me a strange look as I worked.
I pretended not to notice.
(Nah… I'm just disarming dangerous individuals… Yeah. That'll definitely hold up in court.)
Still, seeing one of them bleeding so much made me hesitate.
After a moment of consideration, I decided to use this opportunity to test the potions of this world on humans.
-------------
Item : [Potion × 3] [Pokeball × 5] [Gracidea] [Town Map] [Repel × 4] [Hyper Potion] [Max Revive × 3] [Big Nugget × 3 [Upgrade × 1] [Pokemon Egg × 2] [Moomoo Milk × 18]
CT/TM: [Inner Focus] [Glare] [Captivate]

And that's two less potions, but not sure about their effectiveness in general, but at least they will work on humans."
I took out the weakest potion I possessed and was about to heal them when I realized I hadn't restrained them.
I ended up using their clothes to tie their arms and legs tightly enough so they couldn't defend themselves.
My tongue slipped again, I meant to attack me.
Then I applied the potion to the wound, which immediately began to heal on their bodies.
( Well, now it's a question of whether we drag them with us for the time being or leave them where they are.)
Instantly, the injures of the one I smash began to close tandis que l'autre semblait vraiment reprendre des couleurs.
I watched in silence.
( Impressive.)
Now came the real question.
" Ivy, should I take them with me… or leave them here?"
After thinking it through, the answer became obvious.
" It would be better if they weren't with us when we saw other humans."
" Either I'd be seen as their accomplice or rather their aggressors. Whichever the case, I'd prefer to avoid it."
"SNI??"(・o・)
"Neither option was ideal."
Especially considering my current appearance.
I turned toward Ivy.
"Okay, Ivy. Let's review our situation."
"Sni." (︶︿︶)
"We have enough supplies to avoid starving for a while."
I checked our remaining stock.
[Moomoo Milk ×16]
I take one for myself and handed Ivy another.
She accepted it happily while listening.
"But it now also confirms that humans live in this forest—or at least nearby. Which means we're not far from the village."
I paused.
" It seems there's life other than monsters and animals in this forest, and we're not far from the village we're looking for, but we both know that our----"
"(¬_¬)"
"---my appearance risks repelling them or frightening them before we can even try to communicate with them."
I sighed.
"And there's also the language problem…"
( From what I remembered, the common language of this world was called Koine.)
( If that was true, then finding a book would solve the issue but in how much time I will learn.)
"Anyway, we'll deal with that later."
I folded the map.
"We're close to the forest exit. Following the road should lead us to the village. There's also a river nearby."
"Sni!!" ( ˋ Θ ´ )
"Oh? You're motivated now?"
She puffed her chest proudly.
"When we reach the river, we'll observe the area first. If it's safe, we'll approach the village."
She didn't look thrilled… but she accepted the plan.
With that decided, I finally opened the system notifications I had ignored until now.

♢ [Congratulations to the Host for completing Tier 1 réussite : Killing 100 Monsters.] ♢

"These rewards are actually very useful."
The Sitrus Berries alone would significantly improve our survival.
And with future mouths to feed, I would need as many resources as possible.
I took two berries from my bag.
I handed one to Ivy and kept the other.
She accepted hers happily.
I bit into mine.
The taste reminded me of lemon—but sweeter, and far more pleasant.
Refreshing.
Once finished, I turned my attention to the most important reward.
The eggs.
My heart began beating faster.
Carefully, I took out the first egg.

I felt a sense of contentment when I saw the name displayed by the system.
(Even though she's a Normal type, she would certainly be the most versatile in my eyes now, and her evolution is known for being kind and helpful. Perfect for taking care of other Pokemon and Humans.)

My favorite fire-type Pokemon of all time, and I've always been a dog lover anyway.
So, to sum it up, I'll soon be the trainer (to put it bluntly) of a future super nanny, and a fire dog, in addition to my plant snake as my main team.
