Then suddenly a lizardman who was in the vicinity quickly approached and without hesitation, he charged, his bladed arms raised high as it charged.
"Shit, why do god there another one spawn there!!" Lucas quickly drew his baseball bats in one swift motion, gripping it tightly with both hands.
(Okay, well Ivy is busy right now so it will be my first official first.) He thought, taking a steadying breath and looking at Ivy who was taking care of the Harpy in the sky with Magic Leaf.
The lizard closed the distance in an instant, its bladed arm coming down in a deadly arc aimed at his torso.
At the last moment, Lucas leapt back, the blade missing him by a hairbreadth slamming into the ground where he had stood, sending dirt and shards of stone flying in every direction.
The moment his feet touched the ground, he rushed forward, thrusting his bat with all the energy he had in his body giving the bat more than enough psychic energy to activate the special ability of the bat toward the lizard's head.
The bat slammed the thick scales, meeting no resistance before tearing the flesh and splitting the sinew.
-SPLASH-
The head of the monster fly across all the area and accidentally hit the last Harpy in life who just preparing to dive to attack Ivy.
Causing her to just fall head first to the ground and exploded into a black smoke.
Return to Lucas, a spray of purple ichor splashed onto the ground, and with a flick of his wrist, Rex slammed the lizard's body.
It fell to the ground with a thud. He sidestepped the erratic movements of the blood, watching as it finally stopped a few moments later.
"Well…" Lucas exhaled heavily, flicking his bat always emitting a little wave of violet, to the side to clear off the purple goo.
Droplets splattered across the ground as he sheathed the bat.
"That was easy."
(It was the psychic energy, right?)
But even before he can have a moment to through about the situation, another monster makes his appointment with no appointment.
One of the last two last Bugbear jumped on Lucas like a Wolf on a rabbit.
But fortunately Lucas quickly avoided the beast only to trip over the already damaged bike.
But the bugbear just looked at him for 2 seconds before dashing at Lucas.
With a final, desperate lunge, Lucas threw the bicycle into the bugbear mouth, the impact breaking half of the teeth of the monster.
But not even half a second later, the bugbear chewed the bicycle and continued chasing Lucas with more spirit than before.
"Shit!" Lucas shot to his feet and bolted taking Ivy with him like a potato bags while sprinting like his life and Ivy's depended on it—because it did.
He ran with short, frantic breaths, his arms pumping furiously at his sides, his speed far exceeding anything a human on Earth could achieve and even some new Level 2 adventurer.
But even so, he didn't dare look back, Ivy is already doing it to him.
"GO for Magic Leaf now!!!"
"SNI!!"<(￣︶￣)↗
And another waves of Leaf cut the bugbear over all his body on even slide a eyes.
The thunderous hoofbeats and enraged snorts behind him told him everything he needed to know.
"Good Job Ivy!!!!" he spat, hearing the beast losing ground. Though slow by Level 2 standards, the Bugbear was still faster than a Level 1 adventurer.
Lucas quickly search for an area where he can definitely take down this monster and he sees a small swamp and he suddenly has an idea.

"Ivy, hear me out, I think I have a good idea for taking care of this bugbear now."
"SNI?"(눈‸눈)
"It really simple, when we will enter in the swamp, you will use Glare and just in case apply also Spore as much as you can--" Jumping a random goblin who are just taking a good nap,"--after we are sure that he are enabled to move, you will gather as much vine as you can, and after that just use Leech Seed and just drain him little by little."
"Sni?"
"Why do you mean 'too much complexity'? Why do you think we should—"
"SNI!!!"←(>▽<)ﾉ
She pointed directly into the swamp towards the imposing cliff.
"Okay, sweetie."
He turned sharply into the swamp and quickly ran towards the cliff. Suddenly, he felt an immediate difference in the consistency of the ground.
(This ground is quite soft, I think, but not enough to slow me down much more than this thing.)
Of course, it wasn't long before another mishap occurred.
While he was still running at full speed, he didn't notice that the terrain had changed again, this time becoming extremely slippery mud.
This situation could have been the end of our protagonist's head exploding against the wall if it weren't for the miraculous intervention of Ivy, using her vines to perform a perfect U turn narrowly avoiding the end of his head being crushed.
Behind him, the Bugbear failed to make the same sharp turn, his massive body crashing into the wall with a deafening CRASH.

And one second later he disappear into black smoke and simply drop a huge stone and--

Not even 2 minutes later the rest of the monster in the horde appears and now are quickly chasing Lucas who are just taking a little pause after taking down the last Bugbear.
(It seems I'll use the gacha points with what we receive.)

Without hesitation, I took out all the Roto Energy restore and gave them to Ivy before telling her.
"Okay, sweetheart, I think you know what you have to do----" and before I could continue my sentence, she was already swallowing them like there are Candies.
"Hey!!!! There are not candy!."
"SNI!!╮(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)╭
"You are something else."
Then I decided to take out all the psychic gem before putting them on use immediately, and I felt a significant improvement in my Physics abilities.
"Okay, get ready to cast Moonblast, while I do a little fieldwork with there bat."
I grip the bat more tightly and levitate it around me before throwing it with as much force as I could muster at the moment, and I was pleased with the result.
"PONK PONK PONK PONK PONKSQUISH SQUISH SQUISH SQUISH SQUISH SQUISH"
Seeing the monsters being cleared from left to right, blood spreading all around, made me seriously extremely excited.
(I don't know why, but I like it.)
And suddenly I started to feel a serious drop in energy.
Which was to be expected, seeing how much energy I had poured into that bat to ensure I make something, but well, it seems this situation have a way out.
I look towards the direction where I eliminated the monsters before taking Ivy in my arms and scampering off in that direction, which mainly serves to reassure my little heart for a few seconds before noticing that this kind of dinosaurs is seriously starting to catch up with us.
I look over at Ivy, who seems ready to unleash the heat. I scream at her one last time.
"NOW, IVY SOLAR BEAM."
"SNNNNNIIIIII!!!!!!!!!" (◉Θ◉)
Then a wave of silvery rays of light was in the direction of the monsters, and it's safe to say it's causing damage because most of them had already lost the upper half of their bodies, leaving only pools of blood on the ground, and the fountain of blood gushing from the dyno's pierced torso.
And almost 2 seconds after, the dinosaurs explode in black smoke and a huge stone fall into the ground.
-CRACK-
The impact of the stone falling to the ground created a slight crack which eventually spread and exploded the stone into a few smaller pieces.
After an almost 30 second of very tense moment to breathe a little, and after I quickly search for a monster who is not dead or who just laze in the area.
(It seems the area is clear, good news.)
(Well it seems that there are no other monsters in the area, alright a really good news.)
"Hey Ivy--"
Suddenly I felt my mind freeze for a moment and my legs buckled, which eventually caused me to land on my backside.
(It seemed my legs couldn't support my body any longer after all that running.)
"SNI!!" (*﹏*;)
She rushed forward to try and check on me. Knowing she was going to use Heal Pulse again, I immediately stopped her.
"Okay, okay, don't worry, it's just the adrenaline wearing off now." It seemed that didn't convince her, but she didn't let it go.
(Okay, maybe it's a bit cliché, but-)
"Ivy," I said, extending my fist with what little strength I had left.
"Good job, Partner."
She simply looked at my outstretched arm, waiting for a response.
"..."

"..."
Before simply grabbing me in a hug, extremely comfortably tight, very, very tight.
"SNI!!"(つ≧▽≦)つ
I simply collapse onto the grassy ground, watching the sky that has barely begun to rise.
"Yeah, a hug isn't bad, it works well too."
Then, thinking about all the events of the day that hasn't even properly begun, I've come to a terrifying conclusion.
