"There he is." The alien pointed at Snow, who sat confused about the sudden hostile reaction.
Snow shifted a bit but remained calm, he didn't want to react yet when he knew little about what was going on so he stayed where he was but all parts of his body were ready to move.
"I guess you weren't lying after all. He is a human." One of the individuals the alien brought murmured to himself, admiring Snow's unusually well-structured body frame.
They all walked into the room slowly, their eyes fixed on Snow, whose heart rate began beating fast at an alarming rate.
'What could they possibly want from me now!' His thoughts spiralled as they drew closer to him.
Snow sat forward on the seat he was on, preparing his body for any sudden movements from the hostile men who moved closer to him.
"You see, in these parts of Blue City, human trafficking is quite normal. Finding a human in this century isn't as easy as it was before. Almost everyone has gone cyborg, so it's extremely rare you see." The alien began, dipping his hands in his pockets while explaining everything.
"And the rich, oh the rich. They're willing to spend a whole fortune to gain one organ of a human, they don't really care how much it costs, whatever they're buying it for doesn't bother us in the least, our job is to deliver these parts to them."
"Recently, I haven't been able to find any humans, and they've been on my neck about it. They even gave me a time limit to live. Can you imagine they actually did that?!"
"And you happen to wander by my store today, oh what a blessing in disguise. I know I can finally rest in peace now that I have you here." The alien smirked, revealing his jutting canines that stood out.
'Tsk!. I knew something was off about this guy!. This is the exact reason I hate being ignorant, people tend to take advantage of you when they realise you're ignorant about something!.'
Snow's heart rate increased as the words of the alien sank into his skull. A whirlwind of thoughts consumed him as he stood literally on the brink of death.
On his left was one of the men well-equipped with body gear, and on his right was the same. They had successfully blocked all rounds of his exit points, and he was completely surrounded.
"If you were so desperate to find a human to sell, what happened to these guys?!" he posed the question, seeking clarification.
"You mean these guys? They're all cyborgs. They've all undergone the recent upgrades, don't get fooled about how human they look, it's all fake." the alien proceeded, pulling his hands out of his pockets.
"I see, so almost everyone in this fucked up place is half-human. I fully understand the reason for the lack of emotions now, with a heart fueled by oil, I couldn't expect anything less." His gaze swept the room, taking in the various half-human creatures with a mix of disgust and fascination.
The alien chuckled loudly, shaking his head after Snow's cold words.
"You're not exactly the most reassuring being I've met.The sentiment is...touching. But I'm not here for your sympathy."
"I will admit, you do remind me of someone familiar, but sadly, you're not that person, or I would have probably let you go." The alien oddly said before turning to the cyborg men surrounding Snow.
"Now, don't struggle so much because it won't work, just allow them to do their job or you'll feel more pain than you're expected to, okay?" He informed Snow like he was suddenly feeling sentimental about him.
"Don't take it as me being sentimental by the way, I just don't want any of the parts to be less proportional than the other. They tend to take details like that into consideration during payment, not sure why."
"Now now, before I actually begin a conversation and we forget why we're here, let's get to work guys. Inject him with the serum so we can begin the process and meet up with them before that foolish gang shows up to take away our gold mine." He clapped his hand, giving the order to the cyborg men surrounding Snow.
'Tsk!, Five against one. These are very bad odds, but I'm glad I took yoga lessons during my free time back in school.' He smirked to himself, glancing between the men.
The first one sprinted forward with his hand stretched out to grab Snow, but Snow instinctively dodged the strike with a smirk on his face.
Before he could move, he realised a hand was held tightly on his arm, and a sharp pain stung at the back of his neck.
That's when he realised he didn't actually dodge or even try to dodge the swipe. He was just moving exactly towards where he wanted him to go.
"Did you really think you were faster than cyborgs? I recall literally telling you that they've all received the latest upgrades, and you seriously just tried to dodge a strike from them?!" The laughter that escaped the aliens' lips was annoyingly painful for Snow.
Even while his consciousness was slowing, slipping away due to the serum injected into his system through his neck, he could clearly hear the chuckle from the dizziness.
"If I do actually survive and I find you, I will kill you. I promise you that." Snow assured him, staring him glaringly in the eye despite losing consciousness.
"I care less about the words of a man who's about to be dismembered, if you can survive that then we can go on to discuss your empty threat." The alien responded with a voice laced with sarcasm.
"Begin the process as soon as he falls asleep, we don't have time to waste." He ordered, watching Snow slowly lose consciousness.
Snow on the other hand never let his eyes off the alien until his eyes fell shut.
'I never forget special faces.'
