"Don't, Sir..., it hurts, I'm scared," Liana whispered, slightly conscious.
"You're awake, I'm just trying to inject the medicine, Liana, just for a moment," David explained while looking at Liana's face.
"I'm scared of needles," Liana revealed.
"It's alright, just hold my arm tightly if you feel any pain," David said.
Hearing that, Liana immediately gripped David's arm strongly. Without realizing it, her fairly long fingernails dug deeply into David's arm.
"Ahhh...." Liana winced in pain.
After it was over, Liana slowly released David's hand. Unknowingly, she had made David's arm bleed.
"I've given you the medicine, now get some rest," David said while fixing the blanket covering Liana.
David left his bedroom, trying to let Liana rest peacefully there.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Aunt July was busy with her cooking.
"Aunt, where is the first aid kit kept?" David asked politely.
"The first aid kit... Oh yes, I remember, it's in Rey's room, Sir. Would you like me to get it?" Aunt July replied.
"Yes, please, Aunt," David answered.
Aunt July then went to Rey's room to fetch the first aid kit. However, she thought it was unusual for Mr. David to ask for the first aid kit, especially at home.
"Here you go, Sir, the first aid kit," she handed it to David.
"Thank you, Aunt," David said.
"You're welcome, Sir. By the way, who is sick, Sir? It's unusual for you to ask for the first aid kit," Aunt July asked curiously.
"I just want to get a bandage, Aunt, for my hand," David revealed while showing the scratches on his arm.
"Oh dear, Sir, who scratched you?? Has young master Rey started misbehaving again now?" Aunt July exclaimed.
"Not Rey, Aunt, never mind, it's just a small wound, it will heal on its own," David explained.
"Oh right, Aunt, you and Uncle Will are going back soon, right? David asks for a bowl of porridge to be cooked as well, please, Aunt. It's for my friend," David added.
"Porridge...., no problem, Sir. I will make it," Aunt July replied.
"Wow, look, my wife's cooking looks so delicious, Sir," Uncle Will interjected, having just arrived.
"Uncle, how is Rey? Is he still sleeping?" David asked.
"Yes, Sir, young master Rey is still sleeping soundly. He seems exhausted today," Uncle Will replied.
"Here, Sir, the porridge is ready. It's best to eat it immediately while it's still hot," Aunt July chimed in.
"Okay, Aunt, thank you," David replied and immediately took the porridge.
"Aunt and I will go home now, Sir, before it gets too late. Don't forget to eat," Uncle Will said.
"Yes, Uncle, be careful on the way," David replied and immediately turned to go to his room.
Uncle Will and Aunt July watched David go up to the second floor and enter his room.
"Honey, I think Mr. David brought a woman into his room. Because, you know, there were scratches on his arm," Aunt July said.
"Really, dear? Well, even if it is a woman. We should be happy that Mr. David is finally willing to open his heart to a woman a little," Uncle Will explained.
Actually, Uncle Will already knew that the person David brought into his room was Liana. Because Uncle Will had accidentally walked past David's room earlier and heard a woman's voice in pain. He knew it must be Liana, and David was just trying to help her.
Back to David
"Liana, come on, wake up and eat first," David said beside Liana.
"Doctor, I'm not hungry," Liana replied, falling back asleep.
"Okay, if you don't want to eat, I'll just give you a nutritional injection again. That way you won't need to eat anything," David threatened, knowing that Liana was afraid of needles.
"Yes... Yes, I'm getting up now. Give me the porridge," Liana replied, annoyed.
"By the way, thank you for taking care of Rey today. And I want to ask, why did you do so much office work? Aren't you a new employee at that office?" David asked curiously.
"I don't know, Sir, I'm confused too. When I arrived this morning, there were already so many stacks of files on my desk. And it turns out Mrs. Chelsea told me to do all of it," Liana explained.
"So this is all because of Chelsea. What's wrong with her," David thought to himself.
"I see, don't think about it anymore. Finish your food, and then rest immediately," David explained.
Liana just realized that this was not her home
"Sir, where am I?" Liana asked.
"This is my room," David answered.
"What?? How did I end up here? Sir, if that's the case, I'll go home now, Sir. Thank you for the treatment," Liana replied, rushing to leave, even though her head was still a bit dizzy.
David held Liana's hand
"Where are you going? It's already late. Just rest here, I don't mind. If you feel uncomfortable, I can sleep in Rey's room. It's not a problem, Liana," David explained while holding Liana's hand.
"But Sir, I feel uneasy like this," Liana replied.
"I promise I won't touch you carelessly, only to check on your health condition, Liana," David revealed.
Liana finally agreed to stay, and besides, David was right, it was very late.
David finally went to Rey's room to rest. He slept beside Rey, hugging him. Actually, David was the type of person who couldn't sleep if there wasn't something he could hug, which is why he slept while hugging Rey.
The sunlight began to shine through the window of the room where Liana was sleeping
"Whoammmm... It's so bright. My body feels much better than yesterday. This is all thanks to the doctor. I have to thank him before I leave," Liana said while gently rubbing her eyes.
Liana left David's room but didn't know where Rey's room was.
"It shouldn't be too far from the doctor's room, right? It must be this room. The door is even open," Liana said, walking into the room.
Inside the room, Liana indeed saw David and Rey still asleep.
"He's so sweet, the doctor is so fond of Rey. He's hugging him so tightly," Liana said, suppressing her laughter.
"I'll take a picture for a keepsake," Liana started to take out her phone and photographed David hugging Rey.
"If you look at him, the doctor is quite handsome, what a shame for the women who can't be with him," Liana remarked.
"Sir, I'm going home," Liana said softly, as she quietly left the room.
Upon arriving at the office, Liana was immediately greeted by Chelsea who had been waiting for her to arrive.
"Liana, where are the files I asked you to work on yesterday?" Chelsea asked.
"They're on the desk, Ma'am, let me get them," Liana replied.
"Here, Ma'am," Liana handed over the project proposal files that Chelsea had asked for.
"Good, I hope you can work faster in the future, because this company doesn't need slow workers, understood?" Chelsea said firmly.
"Understood..." Liana replied.
