As Pachirisu was falling and getting hit by the rain, he used Thunder Amour to protect himself.
The immense electric charges still kept rushing into him. His tissues were constantly breaking down due to the immense heat of lightning and pressurised rain of the Coud Burst.
He isn't built for taking much damage, even if he is being constantly healed.
The pain was too much for him, so he got knocked out.
But Volt Absorb remained active despite that. Natural instincts working to prevent death.
And the Magnetic Forces started moving him into random directions. Thankfully keeping him away from getting on the ground which has completely flooded.
If he gets in there as he is now, the other Pokemons and people who have been caught in this artificially created natural disaster will be heavily injured too.
"Breaking news! After the sudden wildfires in a forest near Jubilife City, suspected to be the work of criminals, a sudden cloudburst has happened!
The fire has been put out due to it, but now the whole Jubilife City and surrounding areas are flooded!
Moreover, nearby clouds are racing towards one point and bursting.
And large amounts of electric charge is gathering into one point that keeps moving. We can't get close and cameras can't capture it clearly due to the immense glare!
According to specialists, this might be the work of a Legendary Pokemon!
The rescue mission is underway!"
Jubilife City is a major city of the Sinnoh region.
And now its flooded. Damaged from the pressure of immense rain. Pokemons and humans alike are in danger.
As soon as the clouds that were above the forest were done, the nearby clouds who had gotten attracted due to the charges in the sky and sudden change in pressure also burst.
Several Lightning strikes hit Pachirisu. And kept hitting.
Their temperature hurt him, but their electric energy healed him.
But Volt Absorb hit its limit soon.
There weren't much protein and other nutrients left in him. And cells can only multiply with a given limit.
Normally, this should have meant Pachirisu's end.
Paul watched the scene while standing on Torterra on a the top of a giant rock along with Nurse Joy and Chensey he has rescued. They will be needed to treat Torterra in case of the situation worsening.
The water level has reached several meters from the ground level. The rock was about to be submerged too.
In such a situation, no bird type Pokemon can fly. Most of them have gotten injured.
And aiming to ground Pachirisu will be catastrophic, since there is flood everywhere.
Nurse Joy gritted her teeth.
"I need someone to get Chansey closer!"
Paul shook his head to her.
"No one can fly right now. And Chansey is more likely to get injured since she doesn't have Volt Absorb."
"Then—!"
"Bringing him down will mean everyone else being in danger."
"We have to do something!"
"We can only watch—"
"GYAAAAAARRRRRRR!"
Suddenly, the Guarados who has lost twice to Pachirisu already emerged from the flood.
After Hunter J's device getting vapourised, and enough time having passed without being in the special container Hunter J kept petrified Pokemon in, he has returned to normal.
Gyarados saw this as a chance to get his revenge.
That bully zapped him for no reason when he was a Magikarp. And then brutally defeated him twice. He still has bite marks.
He started charging a Hyper Beam.
Until...
The Ruler of Sky, Rayquaza appeared!
"What!?"
"Rayquaza!?"
Gyarados didn't care and shot a Hyper Beam at Pachirisu's current location.
Rayquaza shot a Hyper Beam back at it.
Gyarados's Hyper Beam instantly got overwhelmed and he got hit by Rayquaza's Hyper Beam.
Gyarados got defeated again.
Rayquaza ignored the buffoon who tried and focused on Pachirisu.
When he saw the unnatural state of the sky over Sinnoh, he got curious and came to look at it.
And he saw a cute Pokemon constantly getting hit by lightning.
But looking at it, the lightning strikes are the source of both his suffering and saving him from the said suffering.
So he coiled around the little guy and tanked the more serious lightning strikes, while stopping any more clouds from coming this way.
Pachirisu was short on breath, so he half-breathed and let the air rich in oxygen that he pulled to be near Pachirisu for him to breathe.
The Ozone which is toxic for normal Pokemon created by lightning was also being constantly absorbed by Rayquaza.
He lives in Ozone layer afterall.
"Is it... Is it protecting Pachirisu?"
Paul was subconsciously trembling at the sight. He has heard about legendaries. But it's his first time being so close to one.
He now understood the power of legendaries. Their presence alone made anyone with basic logic and survival instincts shiver, even if the mind wasn't afraid.
The Chansey and Nurse Joy who were standing on his Torterra, didn't have those survival instincts.
"CHANSEY!"
"Why are you attracting its attention!?"
Paul shout-whispered at Chansey.
He was about to order Torterra to move despite the terrible condition and let go of the advantage of its feet firmly planted on the rock, but Rayquaza turned his head to look at them.
"Chansey! Chansey!"
Rayquaza heard her, and descended to them.
Paul held his breath, but Nurse Joy and Chansey just jumped on Rayquaza's head without any fear.
It was madness! Only people without any logic can do such a thing!
They arrived near the unconscious Pachirisu.
His body was transforming into Electrical Plasma. Without raw materials to heal normally, the healing was taking an entirely different path. Which will most likely lead to Pachirisu's death, maybe not in the plasma body, but mind.
Without waiting for Nurse Joy's command, Chansey user her strongest healing move.
Healing Wish.
"Chansey!"
Chansey herself fainted using the move, but it saved Pachirisu's life.
His body, which was transforming into electric plasma, stabilized and his natural cells began to regrow again.
The healing wasn't less than a miracle. It provided with energy to supplement the raw materials and give lots of life energy to his cells and tissues, so that they can start regrowth again.
The plasma which was his own energy and part of body due to healing of Volt Absorb started merging with his cells and tissues.
And with one final lightning strike, Pachirisu was completely healed.
Rayquaza made the clouds disappear after that and stopped the great disaster.
"Pachi..."
Pachirisu muttered and opened his eyes, only to start falling down.
Rayquaza easily caught him, and started descending on the flooded ground.
"Pachi..."
Pachirisu was feeling surreal. He was feeling immensely healthy, and the energy was too much.
But he didn't get to observe himself much as he observed a knocked out Chansey, Nurse Joy, and Rayquaza!!!!
"Pachirisu. Pachi Pachi Pachirisu."
He pushed aside his surprise and thanked them for saving him.
He got too reckless, thinking that he can just recreate Kirin so easily. He didn't even get a chance to do so.
He didn't know why Rayquaza himself helped him, but he was very thankful for this.
Rayquaza came near the Torterra, and Nurse Joy carrying Chansey and Pachirisu jumped down on it.
Pachirisu was feeling guiltier as he saw the floods and Tsunami.
Rayquaza nodded, and started heading back to the sky and disappeared.
