Meanwhile, in Lilian's house, she was still sleeping that morning...
After the happy lunch with Ellen, they had stayed together until late. Ellen had insisted on dinner and dessert, then more stories, then "just one more drink."
By the time Lilian had gotten home, exhaustion had pulled her under, the moment her head hit the pillow, making her fall into a deep sleep.
Even as sunlight streamed through the curtains she had forgotten to close, she was still sleeping soundly.
However, her phone rang out.
Lilian groaned, reaching blindly for it on the nightstand. She didn't bother checking the caller ID before swiping to answer.
"H... Hello?" She drew out, sleepy.
"Get up." Victor Hale's sharp voice cut through the line like a blade.
"Mr Hale..." Lilian's eyes snapped open. She sat up straight, sleep wiping away instantly.
"Get ready and go to the address I'm about to text you. You have twenty minutes." He commanded, no greeting, no pleasantries.
