Stephanie's POV
I opened my eyes slowly and the view that greeted me was a bright light. I blinked a few times before my vision cleared. The air smelt like bleach. You know that kind of smell that makes your nose sting. For a second, I had no idea where I was and why my head felt so heavy.
Looking around, I could tell I was In the hospital but why? Then it hit me. The loud screeching of tires, Cane shouting my name and his body slamming into mine.
Cane? Where is he? I said up so fast that I became dizzy. The door opened just in time and he walked in.
His head was wrapped in white bandage and there was a small cut across his cheek though it had been stitched. His shirt was rumpled and he looked like he hadn't had a good night sleep.
He stopped when he saw me sitting up. He didn't say anything, no reaction at all. He just stared at me with no smile, just cold eyes.
"Cane," I croaked. My voice sounded weak and rusty. "You're hurt."
