The person in question was currently complaining on the phone while lying on her princess bed.
"Umph! The almighty has arrived. I really don't want to go downstairs and see her. Who does she think she is?"
[Feli, as much as I want to side with you. After listening to you, you are the one in the wrong. Why don't you lower your head just this once?]
When Felinda heard that, she was so angry that she hurled curses at her friend, "Mercy, we have been friends for years. Don't tell me that you are siding with Sonia? She is the one in the wrong. So why should I do that?"
[You need to look at it from her point of view. With how rich your family is and Sonia. Don't you think that you deserve to be with someone capable? Are you planning to raise your boyfriend and let him eat soft rice his whole life?]
Felinda was so furious when she heard her friend saying that. What was the difference between this and mocking her?
"You_" She wanted to go at it again, but Mercy cut her off.
[I know that my words might sound very harsh, but if I were Sonia, I would refuse as well. You are just boyfriend and girlfriend. Why should Sonia help your boyfriend, who could break up with you at any second? That's her company and money. If you want to help him that desperately, then do it by yourself!]
Mercy's words were very ruthless and painful to hear.
Felinda's chest heaved with anger as her cheeks puffed, in disbelief at how her friend would say such hurtful words to her.
How could she do that?
How could she call her man useless?
As a friend, wasn't she supposed to stand by her side always?
What was wrong with her?
"You are a traitor!" she scolded Mercy angrily, and without waiting for her to scold her again, Felinda cut off the call.
There was no way she was going to listen to that.
"Umph! You are just jealous that I have such a loving boyfriend, unlike you, who doesn't have one!" she huffed as she threw her phone to the side.
There was no point in speaking to a sour person.
She was going to get what she promised from Sonia, one way or the other.
With that thought in mind, she rose from the bed and dashed to the bathroom, where she washed her face before going to the cloakroom to change.
Her mighty sister was at home. She needed to go and see how she looked. She was married for the fourth time, after all.
She couldn't help but wonder where Sonia picked her husband. She wasn't afraid of raising another man for other women?
How courageous of her!
Thinking about how sour Sonia will be in a few months, her mood brightened. She skipped happily to the elevator and a few moments later, she was making her way to the dining room where her father and Sonia were already seated. While her mother was busy doing some finishing touches in the kitchen.
Seeing how busy her mother was, she couldn't help but snort and felt irritated towards Sonia.
How dare she make her mother spin like that just because she is rich?
Unfortunately, she couldn't utter those words lest she anger her father. She could only suppress her dissatisfaction as she joined the others.
The moment she arrived, her father, Zack, glared at her, and Felinda shrank her neck with reluctance.
She looked at Sonia, who was sitting lazily, as if she were looking at her without any expression.
Why should she greet Sonia first?
Unfortunately, her father's burning gaze was too much for her to remain stubborn.
She unwillingly opened her mouth and uttered a greeting, "Hello, Sonia!" before taking her own seat without caring for Sonia's response.
Sonia looked at Felinda, who was so bold and brazen to the extent of showing dissatisfaction on her face, and she made a decision that very moment.
Since Felinda was still acting as if the world owed her, she might as well not give in to her parents.
She thought that the other, even for appearance's sake, would humble herself and pretend to apologize, but this girl's wings had hardened so much that she had become so brazen.
Since she thinks that life was that easy, then she was going to teach her on behalf of the parents. They always say that the eldest sister was like a parent.
She was going to show Felinda just that.
So, to respond to this bear child, she hummed a response and didn't bother to utter a single word.
Zack, who was watching the interaction between the two sisters, felt his head hurt. He thought that after drilling some common sense into Felinda a while ago, it would make her realize her mistake, but he didn't know that Felinda would act badly like that.
Knowing his eldest daughter, he knew one thing for sure. It wasn't going to work tonight. He might as well not bring up the matter lest he anger her.
When Sonia gets angry, it is hard to cool her down. As a father, he was filled with guilt. If he were competent, then his daughter wouldn't have carried the whole family at such a young age. He couldn't bear disappointing her.
Perhaps it was time for Felinda to grow up. She had been pampered a lot and didn't experience much like her older siblings.
Unbeknownst to Felinda, her father had given up on her. She sat there arrogantly while scrunching her face as if she was smelling something smelly, but Sonia was ignoring her and that only angered the little girl.
When Letwin came with the food, her heart sank when she found the dense atmosphere at the dining table.
She gave her husband a glance, and the man shook his head with a sigh, and she became sullen.
'It seems that it is not going to work!' she wryly thought as she felt her heart sink even further.
