Chapter 35 - CHAPTER 35: GO ALL OUT!

While Sonia was with her family, Liam wasn't idle.

After dinner with his friend, Henry, he wanted to send Henry back, but the other firmly refused.

"That will waste a lot of time. It's better for you to remain and wait for your wife. What if by the time you come back, she will be here?"

"This …."

Henry looked at him with that kind smile that always spelt trouble. Thankfully, they were in his room and no longer surrounded by servants; otherwise, he wouldn't know whether to talk or keep his mouth shut.

"You're married in and today should be your honeymoon period," Henry said teasingly as he gauged Liam's reaction.

Liam flushed when he heard that, and Henry was happy to see that.

"Tell me something. How do you feel about her? Your honest feelings. Don't hold back on your friend!" Henry urged as he threw a light punch at Liam.

Liam hissed, feeling slight pain from that punch, but the pain dissipated instantly as well. He looked at Henry and sighed, the tips of his ears reddening.

'He is at it again!' Henry was amused as he looked at his friend, who didn't even know how cute he looked whenever he was feeling shy.

"I know it sounds crazy, but …. these feelings …. they are so strong. I know that it's just absurd to fall for someone I have just met and all that. But I can't keep her out of my mind, Henry. I want to be with her, I want her to own me. I …." He exasperatedly confessed, his hands shaking as he looked at his friend.

He didn't know where these overwhelming emotions were coming from. Previously, when he heard about other idols and male celebrities who were being kept, he always frowned upon them. As a man, why couldn't he work hard to achieve what he wants?

You are a man, and yet you dare marry into a woman's family to eat soft rice. Did that even make sense?

And yet when she sat next to him in the hospital ward and domineeringly stated her conditions, he found himself agreeing.

Although part of that was due to his impending death, which he doesn't even want to think about. He could have just declined, but something in him just flicked, and he found himself signing the prenuptial agreement.

In less than a day, he was married legally to her, and now he was in her house.

Just looking at her, listening to her talking and the way she teases him. He knew that something deep inside of him was stirring. The need to be bound, owned and let her just take over and dominate him. That was something that made him feel quite shameful, but when facing his friend, he couldn't help but want to share that. Though he still failed to elaborate further.

Never in a million years would Henry think in such a way. When he heard about Liam wanting to be owned, he simply thought to himself, 'he is doomed!'

This kind of strong emotion reminded him of when he met his current girlfriend. He wanted her so badly when he saw her. He simply attributed Liam's words to that kind of meaning, not knowing that it went much deeper than that.

Thinking well for his friend, Henry wanted Liam to be happy. He had been hurt by Wendy and Sean. Since he was now married, loving his wife was a must.

After all, Sonia wasn't like those gold-diggers out there. She was already settled; there wasn't much that she could get from Liam, right?

Not that he was looking down on his own friend.

Thinking like that, he patted Liam's shoulder as he looked at him seriously and in a stern voice, advised, "I want the best for you, and so far, Sonia is the best thing you could ever get. You love her and you know it. Since that's the case, then cling to that feeling.

Do everything in your power to prove to her and stay with her. Take the initiative and don't let her take the first step. A woman like Sonia needs warmth. So become that fire that warms through her heart …"

When Henry finally left and Liam was left by himself, Henry's advice continued to ring in his mind.

Henry's words were indeed true and hit the point.

There wasn't much that he could give, and the guarantee that he could impregnate her wasn't there.

Children are gifts from the deities. They couldn't be sure if a child would be conceived in these few months.

Not even talking about having children, but to have them, they would need to consummate the marriage and sleep together as much as possible.

He might be married into her family, but he was still the man. He didn't want to let his brothers down and let Sonia take the initiative. He couldn't be useless even in that aspect.

He had to show Sonia that he was irreplaceable and was willing to stay by her side.

He didn't care about that darn curse everyone was talking about. He believes that if those men didn't have other thoughts, they would have remained true to Sonia. But if their hearts start wavering and believing in that curse before they even go anywhere, the ending is visible for everyone to see.

Right now, he wanted to be with Sonia, love her and let her love him. As for the curse, was there anything that surpassed his?

With that in mind, he started jotting down plans in his mind of what to do to get his wife's heart. There should be several ways, right?

The planning alone took him nearly an hour until he was satisfied. Once done, he started thinking about something serious: what should he call her?

He didn't want to be punished, and yet the wild part of him was itching and curious to see what she would do to him.

But rationality took over.

He slapped his cheeks lightly as he admonished himself, 'Let me not expose ourselves very early. It will be too bad if I end up .....'

Tap. Tap.

And his train of thought was disrupted by the slight knock on the door.

Who was it?
