Time flew pretty fast, and another day dawned on the world.
Liam was pretty much excited and nervous at the same time, knowing that he was finally moving in with his wife.
It still felt surreal whenever he thought that he was truly a married man. He had never thought that in this short life of his, he would be so blessed to find someone willing to be with him.
Although until now, Sonia's reasons for marrying him still sounded dubious, he didn't mind being honest.
The fact that such a powerful woman, who could have anyone chose him despite knowing that her choice would make her unable to marry ever again legally in the country. He felt honored.
It might have been something done on a whim but she was serious about it. Being taken seriously was something that made him feel like the time he had spent in this world was truly worth it.
He knew that he couldn't give her much, but the little that he could, he was willing to give her all. In the few months remaining he has to live he was going to be a proper husband and give her all the love that he could give.
With that thought in mind, he cheerfully checked that all bags were packed. The driver was waiting for him already.
Ever since terminating the contract, he didn't have any new gigs. Moreover, he was still waiting for Sonia to arrange. She promised him that. He couldn't urge her when she has so much to do. he believed that she wouldn't forget about him.
Besides, if he starts working now when he hadn't cultivated feelings with Sonia, things might not work out for him or them. After all, he was pretty sure that he had fallen for her although it didn't make sense.
"My man, are you going to continue dawdling?" As he was busy overthinking and checking the bags, a disgruntled voice sounded, urging him.
Liam chuckled guiltily, realizing that for a moment he had forgotten that one of his best friends was here to send him off.
Liam used to have five good friends. Of which Sean was amongst them but with his betrayal, he was cancelled and now he has four.
The four includes, the two ladies who were teasing him previously when he was packing and the two guys who were out of the city during the time.
One of the guys arrived early that morning and knowing that he would be moving into Sonia's place, he came to send him off or rather make sure that he wasn't being cheated. And that friend was none other than the one who was feeling irritated with his delay, Henry.
"Must you really say that?"
Henry scoffed as he looked at Liam's expression. Since when did Liam start showing such expressions?
Could love and marriage turn someone into a new person?
This was getting quite interesting.
"Umph! Let's take the bags down. We can't keep the driver waiting. You refused for them to help, so be quick!" Nonetheless, he urged Liam to make a move.
He was eager to see the famous, extravagant private estate he had heard some of his colleagues talking about.
Liam didn't retort any more but acknowledged Henry's statement. There weren't many bags to speak of, so the two carried two bags each and went downstairs where the car was waiting.
"Which one is it?" Henry asked curiously as he looked at the several cars parked in the parking lot.
As he looked around, he couldn't help but notice a Maybach parked there, and it didn't seem to fit with the environment.
'Which bigshot is playing around in this area?' he couldn't help but wonder.
Meanwhile, Liam was also looking around and, in the process, before he could answer Henry's question, he spotted the Maybach and his eyes lit up.
"Over there!" he said cheerfully as he pointed towards the car.
As he was doing so, the door of the Maybach opened and a familiar driver stepped out of the car.
When Henry saw that, he unconsciously swallowed and inwardly praised, 'CEO Sawyers is truly capable!'
When Liam spotted the familiar driver, he urged Henry to move forward, and the driver, upon seeing so many bags, also came forward to help.
"Master Liam, please."
Liam didn't stand on ceremony but let the driver help him. It didn't take long before all the bags were placed in the boot. Once that was done, Liam nervously looked at the driver and asked, "Is it possible for me to bring my friend over?"
The driver looked at the fourth master who didn't put on any airs and smiled politely at him, "Yes, he can come. You are also the master," not forgetting the one rule that all the staff working for Sonia knew.
To respect the masters.
Even if they are short-lived and don't remain with their mistress for a long time. During the period they are there at the estate, they are treated with all the respect that they deserve.
Liam sighed with relief when he heard that.
He turned to look at Henry and said, "Let's get inside. The driver will drop us off later."
Henry didn't stand on ceremony when he heard that. He and Liam boarded the car. Moments later, the car was gliding away from the apartment complex, heading for the estate that was hours away.
Meanwhile, Sonia was at work at that time, busy in a meeting with Rita.
"Ma'am, I have already talked with the director of Masked Singer. Master Liam can now join. The contest is starting in two weeks, and that's enough time for him to prepare."
Sonia nodded with satisfaction when she heard that. The information was given to her by Tom last night. She directly gave the number to Rita who didn't let her down but worked very fast.
"And the studio?"
"I am looking for the best place at the moment."
"Money is not a problem. Be quick about it!" Sonia added.
Rita nodded smilingly, "I will not forget about that," she said before adding, "tomorrow, I would like to meet with the master. When can I meet him?"
Sonia pondered for a moment when she heard that before responding, "Come to the estate for breakfast. I will introduce you two, and you can talk."
Rita heaved a sigh of relief when she heard that and added a few more things which Sonia hummed to.
After speaking her share, Rita respectfully made her leave in a hurry to do her job.
On her way out, she met with Gerald and exchanged a quick greeting before going separate ways.
