Aidan smirked at the stunned look on her face, his eyes glinting with quiet amusement.
"Why are you looking at me like that? Do I look like someone who's had a girlfriend?"
Anna realized there was no way Aidan would have a girlfriend and be married to her.

Anna mentally slapped herself. What the hell was she about to say?

Heat poured into her veins, her abdomen clenching at his words. To hide her crimson red face, she grabbed the glass cup again and gulped down the whole content.
"I was watching the news earlier on my phone, Anna," the sudden change in topic made her turn to him. "Sophie took the news about me drugging her down…."
