"Ai Wit, is it true that you are friends with Gun and Top—the couple everyone talks about? Were they really at the meeting?" Lay asked, putting on her best puppy-dog eyes. She couldn't believe she missed the chance to meet her favorite BL actors. P'Pharm had told her that if she really wanted to meet them, he could invite them over for lunch. She was thrilled, especially since she was being discharged tomorrow—meaning she could finally meet them.
"How about we all go out to celebrate Lay's recovery tomorrow night?" he asked, wrapping his arms loosely around mine and Khai's necks.
We all agreed. After all, we could all use a break to relax and forget the stressful day we'd just had.
[My plan worked perfectly. With P'New and P'Pharm joining us, that means more beautiful girls will be coming our way,] Max thought to himself as a grin stretched across his face. I smacked his head, making him flinch. Khai and I knew Max wouldn't suggest anything unless he had an ulterior motive.
Everyone went home, except for Kit. He didn't want to leave Lay alone, even when she told him he could go. He didn't listen.
He only left the next morning to prepare for his classes, though he clearly hated leaving Lay on her own. He attended all his lectures, then went to fetch her after she was discharged. When he arrived, he found P'Pharm and Lay already waiting for him.
He drove them home, and during the ride, Lay kept poking at him with questions about me.
"So… have you forgiven him? Or are you planning revenge?" she asked.
"He came to apologize for always teasing me, so I forgave him… because I'm tired of always fighting with him. It's exhausting," he replied with a weary sigh, clearly drained from the endless arguments.
"Be honest with me," she teased. "How do you feel now that things are good between you two? You must be happy. No more constant fights with your hubby… so that means you two can finally start making babies!"
She giggled, nudging him playfully.
"Ai Lay, stop teasing Kit while he's driving," P'Pharm said, poking her forehead with his index finger.
Kit dropped them off at their house and was about to leave when he got a call from P'New—apparently, their mom wanted to see them. He headed straight to P'New's condo to meet them.
When he got there, his little sister was waiting excitedly at the door. After all those years, she was overjoyed to finally see her big brother again. Kit was shocked at how much she had grown—no longer a little girl, but a cute, beautiful young woman. He was also surprised to see their mom there, even though their dad couldn't make it.
He decided to spend the night at P'New's place so he could spend more time with his sister before she left for Germany. With no morning classes, he stayed up all night watching BL series with Amp, his little sister. He almost overslept, but thanks to his mom, he didn't.
Just as he was about to have breakfast, Lay called. She wanted to know if he was still coming that night, since he hadn't been able to join us the night before. He told her he'd be a little late—he had to take his mom and sister to the airport.
She asked why they were leaving so soon, and he explained that Amp was hosting her first concert. Just then, a call from his dad came in. Kit hesitated for a moment, then hung up on Lay and answered the call. Even though he was still upset that his dad couldn't make it, he was happy to hear his voice. He stayed on the phone with him all the way to the airport.
After sending off his mom and Amp, he joined us at the club called Penta-Hox. We were just about to order drinks when he arrived.
Max got so drunk he kept trying to hit on Som, but she wouldn't budge. He pulled every trick he had, but none of them worked. He couldn't understand why Som wouldn't fall for a guy like him—handsome, rich, with cute reddish lips and a sculpted six-pack shaped like a Korean ppallaepan. To him, it made no sense. After all, no girl could resist a god like him.
Meanwhile, I couldn't stop smiling at Kit.
He suddenly started glancing around, uneasy. He felt eyes on him—like someone was watching him the entire time. It made him uncomfortable.
While Lay was busy taking photos and videos of P'New and P'Pharm being all lovey-dovey, Khai was eyeing her. He wanted to hit on her but couldn't stand her fangirl behavior. The last time he dated a fangirl, he had to search the entire mall just to find her the next episode of her favorite series—just to stop her from whining about the main lead's death.
