She made him search the entire mall for it… and then dumped him the very next day.
At first, he acted all tough, like he was fine. But as the days went by, reality hit him so hard he started falling apart. His grades dropped, and he would completely zone out in class. We could all see how badly the breakup had affected him, so we decided to teach him a few tricks on how to be a player—and honestly, that might've been the biggest mistake we ever made… but it was worth it.
It was like teaching the devil how to be evil.
From that moment on, he started changing girls faster than he changed his boxers. He never had a serious relationship again, nor did he keep any girl around long enough to even be friends with benefits. It was all about smash and pass—one-night stands, no strings attached.
Even though Lay was a fangirl, there was something different about her. Something special. Unlike his ex, Lay was never surrounded by straight guys. Every guy in her life was either gay or pansexual.
Everyone was drunk that night—except the lovebirds, Khai and Lay—so they had to make sure the rest of us got home safely. P'New helped Khai take me and Max back to our rooms, while Lay and P'Pharm took Kit and Som home.
After we got to our rooms, we sang all night. Khai was so pissed because he couldn't sleep with all of us making noise, but we were too drunk to care. So he stayed up the whole night, sleep-deprived and fuming.
It was early the next morning…
SPLASHHH!!!We were suddenly soaked in cold water while still sleeping.
"Ai Khai! Are you crazy or what?!" we shouted, springing up from our soaked beds, shivering, trembling as goosebumps prickled across our skins.
Max's face twisted with fury as he stormed out of the room, chasing after him. He only stopped when they ran into P'New in the hallway.
"Phi! Help me—this crazy lunatic wants to kill me!" Khai cried, hiding behind him and peeking out from his shoulder.
"Who told you to splash us with cold water while we were sleeping?!" Max growled, his face burning with rage.
"I was annoyed by the fact that you were sleeping so peacefully, while I couldn't sleep at all because you drunkards kept singing all night," Khai replied. His eyes narrowed, nose slightly wrinkled, lips pressed into a thin, irritated line.
"Ohh! Since that's what happened… he's all yours," P'New said, calmly stepping aside and motioning toward Khai.
Max lunged, and Khai bolted. The two started running around, Khai screaming for help while P'New laughed at the chaos. He left them to their chase and went to check on me instead.
He found me still sleeping in my wet clothes.
He kicked me off the bed. "Do you want to get sick?" he asked.
I sprang up, ready to strangle whoever had kicked me—only to find myself staring into P'New's piercing gaze.
"Haha! Phi, it's you?" I said sheepishly. "I thought it was one of those two fools."
He gave me a soft, amused smile, tapping his index fingers together like a kid caught stealing cookies. "You and Max were so drunk last night I figured I'd check if you could make it to your 12 p.m. class. But I guess I was right," he added, shaking his head slowly, clearly struggling to believe what he was seeing.
I rushed toward the bed, grabbed my phone, and checked the time.
"Shittt!!! I'm going to be late!" I shouted, scrambling for the towel hanging on the wardrobe and springing into the bathroom.
<<<<< 5 minutes later >>>>>
I burst out of the bathroom, shirt half-buttoned, pants loose and unzipped. Max, Khai, and P'New stopped chatting and turned to look at me.
"Where are you rushing to?" Max and Khai asked in unison, both looking confused.
"We're late for our 12 a.m. class! Why aren't you getting ready?" I asked, pulling up my pants as I rushed to grab socks from the drawer.
They all burst into laughter, slapping their thighs and doubling over.
"The class is canceled, isn't it?" I asked, disappointed, eyes fixed on P'New.
"Aehhh! You wouldn't be mad at your brother-in-law, right? Or do you want your wifey to stop talking to you?" he teased, flashing a wide grin as he crossed his arms.
"How does it feel to get a taste of your own medicine?" Max added with a wicked smirk.
The three of them kept laughing when they saw my face.
"By the way, are you guys coming to Off's birthday party? Kit will be there, and so will Lay and Som. There'll be a lot of hot girls, too," P'New said, glancing at me before turning to Max and Khai.
"Yes!" I answered instantly, cutting off whatever they were about to say.
They exchanged a look, then turned to me.
"We knew it. No way you were gonna say no—not after hearing Kit will be there. What a hypocrite!" they said in unison, giving me piercing glares before turning to P'New with grins stretching across their faces.
