Chapter 1 - My ghost experience

Hinglish version

Baat June 2019 ki hai, ye wahi saal tha jisne meri zindagi mein darr aur dukh ka ek naya panna khola. Mere Nana ji, jinhe main bahut chahti thi, wo Mouth Cancer se lad rahe the. Pichle ek saal se unka ilaaj chal raha tha aur pura parivaar isi umeed mein tha ki wo jald thik ho jayenge. Do chemotherapy sessions ke baad unki halat mein sudhaar dikha, toh hum sab ki jaan mein jaan aayi.

Mujhe btaya gaya tha jab unhe hospital se car mein ghar laya ja raha tha, wo itne khush the ki car mein chal rahe music par thirakne lage, dance karne lage the. Hum sab ne socha tha ki bura waqt nikal gaya hai, lekin kismat ne kuch aur hi socha tha. Do din ke rest ke baad achanak ek raat wo hua jisne sab ko jhakjhor diya—unke stitches achanak hat gaye aur poore kamre mein khoon hi khoon phail gaya. Unhe turant hospital le jaya gaya, par is baar wo wapas nahi aaye. Hospital bed par hi unhe do bar cardiac arrest aaya aur wo humein hamesha ke liye chhod kar chale gaye.

Meri mummy ko jab phone aaya, toh unhe ye nahi bataya gaya tha ki Nana ji nahi rahe. Mama ne bas itna kaha ki "emergency hai, jaldi aa jao." Mummy aur Papa anan-fanan mein nani ke ghar ke liye nikal gaye. Meri choti behen us waqt sirf 2 saal ki thi, isliye mummy usey apne saath nahi le ja saki. Nani ke ghar pahunch kar jab mummy ko sachai pata chali, toh wahan sirf matam aur udaasi ka mahaul tha. Ghar ki har deewar jaise Nana ji ke jaane ka gham mana rahi thi. 2 din baad mummy ko wapas aana pada kyunki meri choti behen unke bina nahi reh pa rahi thi.

Lekin maut ke baad hone wali rasmo aur rituals mein hum sab ko shamil hona tha, isliye kuch dino baad hum poora parivaar nani ke ghar gaye.Wahan kadam rakhte hi mujhe ehsas hua ki Nana ji ke jaane ke baad wahan sab kuch badal chuka hai. Wahi wo waqt tha jab us purane ghar mein kuch aisi ghatnayein shuru huin jo dimaag ki samajh se bahar thi. Us dukh ke mahaul mein kuch andekha sa hamare aas-paas ghoom raha tha. Fir shuru hua ek darawna silsila...

Is kahani mein, main aapko wahi sab batane ja rahi hoon—wo Ghost Experiences jo ya toh mere saath hue, ya mere un jaanne walon ke saath jin par main aankh band karke bharosa karti hoon. Taiyar ho jaiye ek aise safar ke liye jahan dukh aur darr ka milan hota hai...

Experience (1)

To ab rituals me khana khilana tha pandito ko to uski taiyari chal rahi thi. Fir jab hm ghr ke logo ko khana khana tha to mai or mama vaha ek table pr baith kr khana kha rahe the ghr ke andar hi. Or side me Nanaji ka photo frame rkha tha jispe Maala chadhna baki tha. Mama ne mujhse khana khate time bola ki Chawal bhi lelo. Mai generally Chawal nhi khati to mne mana krdiya. Tab unhone kaha ki chahe mai thoda hi lu pr jrur se lu. Us time mujhe ek baat yad agai jiski vajah se mujhe bht tez dar laga. Vo baat ye thi ki jab Mai isse pehle nani ke ghr aai thi to mai nanaji ke sath baith kr khana kharhi thi or us time bhi mne chawal khane se mana krdiya tha or unhone bhi mujhe ekdm isi tarike se kaha tha. Mujhe laga ki mama ne to bilkul usi tone or andaz me ye baat boli hai to mai dar gai or vaha se jldi se uthkr apne bartan rkhke hath dho rhi thi. Or mama bhi khake uth chuke the. Or jab mai apne hath towel me poch rahi thi tab Nana ka photo frame us table pr rkha hua apne aap hi girgya. Vo gira table par hi lekin ek jor dar awaz ke sath. Iske baad ghr ke sare log dekhne agaye ki ye kse hua. Itni jor se awaz hui ki Mano kisi ne frame ko utha kar patak diya ho. Us samay table pr koi bhi nhi baitha hua tha. Fir mama logo ne frame ko sahi se rkha or thodi der ke liye to sare sann reh gaye...

Experience (2)

Usi raat ki baat hai ki ghr ke kuch logo ko unki presence feel hui or sabne is chiz ke upar discussion bhi kiya. Kuch time ke baad sab sogaye par mai jaag rahi thi or apni nani ki pith par khade hoke unki massage krhi thi. Side me kitchen tha vaha meri masi or choti nani kaam krhe the. Raat ko almost 2 baje the or jis room me mai thi uske samne aangan hai or samne 2 room hai side to side. To mai ek room ke andar dekh rahi thi to suddenly vaha black shadow appear hui. Room ke Bahar light jal rahi thi to pure aangan me light thi or thodi room ke andar bhi light thi. Vo shadow aai or mujhe bilkul yakin nhi horha tha us time par ki mai kya chiz dekh rahi hu. Us time mai koi nind me nhi thi mne apni eyes ko do teen bar rub bhi kra ki kya sach me ye mere samne hai ya mera koi vehem hai. Vo shadow 6 ft height ki thi. Uska shoulder, body structure sab kuch saf saf dikhrha tha. Bas uski ankhe nhi thi face bhi black tha. Or vo mere samne 5 minute tak khadi thi or hm dono ek dusre ko dekh rhe the. Itni der me mne apne aap ko pinch kra, apni ankho ko bada krke dekha ki pakka ye mera koi vehem nhi hai. Uske baad vo mere dekhte dekhte hi side hui diwar me touch hui or ekdm disappear hogai. Tab tak mujhe koi dar nhi laga tha par ab mne usko challenge dete hue bola ki Himmat hai to firse mere samne aa...

Mne ye baat 4-5 bar boli or fir jo hua....

Uske baad mujhe bht jada dar lag gya

English version

The Summer of 2019: A Farewell and an Uninvited Guest

The month of June 2019 was the time when a dark chapter of fear and sorrow began in my life. My maternal grandfather (Nana ji), whom I loved dearly, was battling mouth cancer. For a year, our family lived in a constant state of prayer and hope. After two sessions of chemotherapy, we saw a glimmer of improvement, and for a moment, we thought we had won against destiny.

I remember being told how happy he was while returning from the hospital. He was so full of life that he even started dancing to the music playing in the car. We believed the worst was over. But fate had a cruel plan. Two days later, while he was resting at home, the unimaginable happened—his surgical stitches suddenly gave way. Within minutes, the room was covered in blood. He was rushed to the hospital, but he never returned. After two cardiac arrests on the hospital bed, he left us forever.

When my mother received the call, she wasn't told the truth immediately. My uncle (Mama) simply said, "It's an emergency, come quickly." My parents rushed to my Nani's house, leaving my two-year-old sister behind. When they reached, the house was drowning in silence and mourning. Two days later, my mother had to return because my little sister couldn't stay without her.

Later, the entire family gathered at Nani's house for the final rituals. The moment I stepped inside, I felt it—the house was no longer the same. Something unseen was lingering in the corridors, watching us from the shadows of grief. And then, the series of inexplicable events began...

Experience (1): The Echo of a Command

During the rituals, it was time to feed the priests and the family. My uncle and I were sitting at a table inside the house, having our meal. Right next to us was Nana ji's framed photograph; the garland was yet to be placed on it.

While eating, my uncle turned to me and said, "Take some rice too."

Normally, I don't eat rice, so I refused. But he insisted, "Take it, even if just a little, but you must have it."

A cold chill ran down my spine. I suddenly remembered the last time I had visited Nani's house while Nana ji was alive. I was sitting with him, and I had refused to eat rice. He had said the exact same words to me, in the exact same tone and manner. The resemblance in my uncle's voice was so uncanny that it terrified me.

I quickly finished, washed my hands, and was drying them with a towel. My uncle had also stood up. Suddenly, a loud CRASH echoed through the room. The heavy photo frame of Nana ji, which was sitting securely on the table, had fallen flat. The sound was so violent, as if someone had picked it up and slammed it down with force. No one was near the table. Everyone in the house rushed to the room, stunned. For a long time, no one uttered a word.

Experience (2): The Six-Foot Shadow

That same night, the air in the house felt heavy. Many family members felt a 'presence' and were discussing it. Eventually, everyone went to sleep, but I was wide awake, giving my Nani a back massage. The kitchen was nearby, where my aunt and younger grandmother were working. It was around 2:00 AM.

As I looked towards the courtyard (Aangan), I saw it. A pitch-black shadow appeared in the room opposite to mine. The lights were on in the courtyard, so I could see clearly. I couldn't believe my eyes. I wasn't sleepy; I rubbed my eyes two or three times to make sure it wasn't a hallucination.

The shadow was at least 6 feet tall. I could see the broad shoulders and the solid body structure, but it had no eyes, no face—just absolute darkness. It stood there for five long minutes, staring back at me. I pinched myself, stared harder, and realized this was real.

Slowly, the shadow moved to the side, touched the wall, and vanished into thin air. At that moment, I wasn't scared; I felt a strange surge of adrenaline. I challenged it. I shouted, "If you have the courage, come in front of me again!"

I repeated this 4 or 5 times. And then... what happened next paralyzed me with a fear I had never felt before.
