As the ships came upon the exit of a river that stretched through out the center of the island, they saw the islands formidable defensive formation, vast whirlpools just a couple nautical miles off the shore of the island.
This formation was done around the entire island, to keep out those who weren't invited.
On one of the fore most ships an elite jonin of the village stepped forward his hands flying through handseals at a speed no ordinary shinobi could keep up with.
"Uzumaki Hidden technique: Formation Manipulation!" Exclaimed said elite jonin.
Down on the sea bed hundreds of sealing kanji lit up in a vibrant blue colour. The jonin up above proceeded to Manipulate the whirlpools, shifting them to either sides of the ships allowing them passage.
Kōga on the last ship to pass through the passage ran through another set of handseals, resealing the rivers exit.
The ships moving via nothing but fuinjutsu formulas could sail up stream against oncoming currents.
After a while of nothing but wilderness on either side of the river, it suddenly gave way to stone bricks stacked high. On those stone bricks sat the swirling crest of the Uzumaki clan.
After a dozen minutes or so the ships came upon an opening where on both sides of the river stood Uzushiogakure, the village hidden by the whirling tides and the home to the Uzumaki clan.
Towering buildings some 6 or 7 stories tall all decorated with the clans crest and wiggling lines of fuinjutsu script stood on both sides of the river with multiple bridges connecteing the 2 banks of the river.
The ships where then maneuvered to a section of the docks on 1 side of the river where a delegation of shinobi and civilians alike stood.
Kōga as the clan/countries designated heir stepped off first, his imposing figure with his firey crimson hair and crimson eyes crinkled as a smile formed on his face.
Yes, no one could ever doubt whether or not kōga loved his new family.
"Welcome back Kōga-Sama!" A plethora of voices rang out, all welcoming kōga back from the war front on the mainland.
Men, women, children even the elderly, all of them came to receive kōga.
Kōga waved his hand his face breaking out into beaming grin, behind him, the rest of the shinobi disembarked, those who had loved ones were greeted with tears of joy while those who'd lost someone silently cried.
Kōga turned to his current attendant, rei. "Take the wounded to be tended to and please have a date selected for the dead to be buried!" He commanded, before walking off towards the large 4 story building at the center of everything the uzukage/Damyios building/office.

Inside the uzukages office, Jun sat waiting for his son quietly, his wife and his father were in the room as well.
Knock! Knock!
After the 2 knocks the door swung open, letting in kōga who saw not only his father, but his mother and grandfather as well.
"I have returned father, mother, grandfather!" Said kōga, who hugged his mother first, then his grandfather and then finally his father who had to stand from his position sitting behind his desk to be hugged.
"I'm glad you're alright, I've been so worried since you went off to lead the forces sent to support konoha!" His mother said. fretting over his health and checking for any hidden injuries.
Don't get things twisted, nothing could be hidden from kiko, who was a jonin of the clan before she became juns wife.
Kōga felt a warmth spread in his chest, a radiant smile blossoming onto his face as he chuckled. "I'm fine mom, I made sure to be extra careful on the battlefield, no unnecessary damage and no charging in recklessly!" He said to ease his mother's worries.
Turning to his father and grandfather kōga spoke. "With the 2nd generation of kages from the 5 major shinobi villages dead, a new era is about to begin!" He paused, letting the gravity of his words sink in before continuing.
"We can't be left behind, we need to begin strengthening the village as soon as possible, I wish to train a few clan members up to elite jonnin level if not kage level outright!"
"I also wish to suggest a few things aswell, so if you could father, please call a clan/village council meeting!" He finished his face showing the seriousness of the matters he needed to bring up.
Jun nodded, his son had always been 1 to advocate for the clans prosperity and safety, since he could understand his role as heir to Uzushiogakure.
"I'll call 1 soon, as merits and such need to be allocated appropriately." Stated Jun, his voice becoming serious.
Kōga nodded before the room devolved into lighter conversation.

In kumogakure, the newly installed 3rd raikage held a high level meeting.
A, the 3rd raikage sat at the head of the council table, his imposing figure radiating a powerful aura.
The man said to be able to subdue the 8 tails all alone with nothing but his body and the famed lightning release chakra Armour.
"Raikage-sama, we need to find a long term solution to the 8 tails constant rampaging if not, we'll continue to lose more and more able body shinobi!" An elder said, his face ashen having just recently watched another rampage by the 8 tails.
Other members of the council around the room nodded in agreement, they to had witnessed the 8 tails might and the sheer might the 3rd had in fighting said beast head on.
1 of the more warhawkish members in the room put out a suggestion.
"How about we raid the Uzumaki clan for their sealing knowledge and bloodline." He paused before continuing "Uzumaki Mito showed that her clans high reserves and vitality are perfect for becoming jinchuriki of the tail beast!" He said his face harden with greed at the thought of kumo getting it's hands on the sealing techniques of the Uzumaki clan.
A, the 3rd raikage grunted, he rather liked the idea of raiding that clan of red haird individuals with extreme amounts of chakra and longer lifespans than normal people.
But he knew better, if just 1 village tried, konoha would respond just as swiftly, but if it was a multi-village coalition attacking the island of Uzushiogakure, then he knew the new 3rd hokage sarutobi hiruzen wouldn't budge 1 bit.
"Someone get me 2 messengers!" A barked, his back length sandy blond hair swaying as his muscles flexed.

Kirigakure, mizukages building, council chamber.
The 3rd mizukage sat at the head of the council, his presence as commanding as any other kage level shinobi.
His voice, soft and lilting was still heard by all as he spoke.
"Kumogakure has sent a alliance treaty to help in the destruction of the Uzumaki clan of Uzushiogakure, the letter also promises that we can keep any technique scrolls found by us during the operation." He said his words sparking looks of hunger and greed in the eyes of the heads of the major kirigakure clans.
"I say why not, Uzushiogakure as a island nationt hinders our villages maritime interest by being a none allied shinobi village with more access to the sea than any others except for us, with them gone all commission's from the surrounding island nations needing shinobi intervention shall come to us!" The current hozuki clan head said his face breaking out into a wide grin.
All the other clan heads nodded though they were more focused on what power they would be able to claim from this indever.
The 3rd mizukage raised his hand causing the room fall quiet.
"Kumogakure has also asked for Iwagakure to join this alliance and I believe onoki shall accept as it'd be foolish to allow both Kumogakure and kirigakure to gain sealing knowledge faster than themselves." He said causing the others in the room to nod.

A young onoki sat at the head of his own villages council chamber.
"That A thinks I don't know what he's up to with this alliance to strike at the Uzumakis!" Onoki said, knowing that even if they formed this alliance, they wouldn't be able to act on it immediately as all 3 villages had to rebuild their own forces lost from the recently ended 1st shinobi war.
Also onoki knew, that this alliance would frighten konoha into inaction long enough for them to fully destroy the Uzumaki clan.
