Charon was once again looking at the crowd that surrounded him but this time there was a crack on the billboard screen a malfunction people.The reporters were loud and the sounds of people talking and a camera taking pictures l truly wondered are this the same people who were glued to a screen awaiting death and death embraced them with open arms by chucking spears at their heads to add insult to injury shawn was nowhere to be found.
Of course he was not there charon knew for a fact the sod would find some funny way to keep his promise so he changed the route shawn had to take to grab a taxi knowing it will probably buy him ten minutes at best.Which was enough considering the state he was in after using his ability he felt more colder it was getting harder to breathe he had long since given up on trying live at this point by saving random people who could care if some nobody died as he was about to draw his last breathe.
A man with white hair wearing all black towered over him and said in a clam tone "Hurry up and die already you wasted enough time on saving this " Charon would have responded but everything around him went black he was sure the person he saw was the spoiled noble from earlier.He was pretty sure he also heard shawn voice in the far back of the crowd but it did not matter anymore.
Next charon knew he was completely intact and wearing a grey tunic with a red sash and some sandals his brown hair was perfectly combed. After looking at himself he examined where he was he was standing on still water every movement he made sent ripples which continued to expand to the point they looked infinite the sky was clear no fumes not a cloud in sight and there seemed to be stars shining up above some disappearing and some reappearing .
After a while he looked at the surface of the water he was standing he tried to look deeper into the water there seemed to be something moving deep in the depths.Then he was interrupted by a husky voice which rattled charon upon hearing "its nice right very view ever die in camelot and sent here you must be special " said the old man in a janitor uniform.
He continued to say " Well truth be told with the amount of death happening in camelot you did not think you would be judged by the angles themselves did you might have hoping to strike a deal with them were not let me remind you scum like your self you be gratetful to even manage to make it this far".
At point charon was not really surprised he heard some eye catching gossip about camelot saying if one dies in there soul will either descend to the nether realm or be trapped in a sub plane of thought to see if you have any use after death in which charon was betting on coming here first he knew his ability was not much to offer but he also happened to know a few disasters that where about to happen in camelot.
Due to the shared mind incident charon was going through everyones memories whilst maintaining a conversation with shawn as it was the only mind he had very little information on.So he looked at the jantor and "Well must be tough being stuck here and deciding where every lowly bastard goes am pretty sure you do not want to be here either so lets make a deal".
The janitor replied with a serious tone "really now you want to cheat your way to heaven now am curious l was planning to throw your soul out the sub dimension but since you caught my attention that information of yours better worth wasting my time'.Charon walked to him and patted his shoulder ans said of course it is since it involves the heart of the nether beast that was subjugation up south and transferred here but then stolen also ten hours from now camelot will be run overrun by nether beasts".
The janitor looked at charon in disbelief because knew no can lie in the sub dimension
and with information like this a promotion was all but assured then he looked at charon pretending to be unimpressed he said so what nether beast can be dealt with by the knights so there is nothing special there as for the heart l could also send you straight to the nether for knowing that alone but your judging from your calmness l take it you know more than you let on".
Charon started walking around the janitor in circles avoiding eye contact but to his surprise he realized he could still use his pulse ability because he died several horrific times to the janitors hands first was when told the entire story of the heart to the janitor resulting in him being strangled to death till his neck broke and an eye popped out.
The second was when charon deduced that the siege of the nether beasts was planned with earned him two powerfull fists one obliterated his ribcage and intestines the other completely destroyed his brain leaving a half destroyed eye the third was form heavenly flames burning him to cinder the fourth he was sent into a void where light and sound did not exist he had to kill himself by taking the sash and strangling himself.
Most of the times he had to kill himself because changing the fate of each death was starting to get annoying and the fatigue was building up sooner or later one of this deaths will be charons last. Whilst the janitor stayed obvious to the situation that was unfolding and charon could not leave this space without the buzzards permission so his strategy was to be as vague as possible leaving the old man to speculate on his own.
Which was working fine by the ninth attempt until the old man just decided say "or l could torture and you will tell me everything you know l can tell your using an ability to avoid judgment since it has never taken me this long to decide someone fate".In that moment charon froze and realized trying to trick this guy was probably the hardest thing his ever done.
The janitor looked at charon a and said "lets look at your ability surely you do not mind right"Charon looked at him at wanted to say of course l mind you have been killing over and over again on a whim but he could not say that since he knew antagonizing him would probably to ultimatum which he was not ready for so he replied "your house your rules" added with a smile the janitor seemed to put his hand on my chest then a screen l have never seen in my entire life showed up before my eyes with all my details saying
