The air reeked of corpses which was enough of its chilling tone accompanied by darkness darker than black .In the midst of all that two pairs of purple eyes pierced the darkness as if they were staring right at me searching for something after a moment which felt like an eternity l woke up.
My body didn't seem to respond to my commands which made the process more excruciating trying to move l footsteps of numerous people walking around me l even heard Shawn voice which l tried interpreted what he was saying it sounded like "L was able to recover most of his body which made reattaching them much easier it's the least l could do anyway sadly l cannot attend his funeral l have work to may l propose burning the body"
"What whose burning who you bastard am still alive l think?"
Charon cry wasn't heard since he could still not move then an anonymous voice said "don't worry about it as his brother l will bury no need to fear the dead after ".Shawn sounded like he wasn't convinced with this brother act as he thought "what kind of person would let his little brother live in this death trap of a city and show up moments after his " He was about to ask something until the suitcase he was holding suddenly moved Shawn stood there and silently gripping the handle of the suitcase as if it was saying something to him he then looked at the metal table Charon was a said a something in a low voice then he suddenly left.
Charon still unable to move managed to hear what Shawn had said it was "Meet me tomorrow at the rising sun in at dawn "In which was convinced that he knew more than he led on. Then he tried to move his toes at least despite being in the morgue on top of a metal table he felt at peace. The anonymous voice then said "You can move now "The Charon moved his heard from where the sound came from then unzipped the body bag from within and looked at the stranger to his surprise it was the rich guy he meant at the alley that day.
In confusion he looked around trying to grasp the situation as he had guessed right they were at the morgue. Then he shifted his gaze back at the stranger prompting him to explain in which he pretended to be oblivious to the scenario then after a while he said "right l didn't introduce myself my name is Colin and you're my puppet". With that he stared at me hinting at l should be grateful but to my demise l was even more confused as to how l was alive this l question l should have asked wait what was his name again?"
Colin stood up to hand me a pair of clothes which consisted on a grey shirt black pants and shoes to top it off a black jacket which was almost worn out "For a rich guy your chose of clothes is kind of sad "Charon replied while taking the clothes and wearing them since he was completely naked he noticed a few new things while he was changing first was that his hair was no longer brown it was now completely white it was now identical to Colin's which he found worrying. His skin was completely white and his eyes where now red with his pupils slightly resembling that of a cat.
The other was that his senses felt sharper as he could tell there are only two people in the building he knows sure not a lot of people die every day but still the other was he felt stronger but he could not feel his heart beat and his body was more perfect he was still five foot but now more muscular and flexible it looked like his body was sculpted. Whilst on the body there were no scratches or stiches meaning either Shawn is a pretty good healer or it's not his body and after being fully dressed he looked Colin to get back to the matter at hand then said "So mind explaining what the hell is going " Colin stood showing his ix foot figure and wearing all black with a duffle bag but something was amiss the cane he was using looked familiar his thoughts were interrupted with "well for starters you died and meet an acquaintance of mine after seeing your pathetic death which was truly outstanding failure to utilise your ability to its potential and yes you dint have it any more it was destroyed the moment l brought you back from death "He then faced the door prompting me to open it and my body suddenly moved on its and l opened it.
My body moved by itself but it didn't feel forced more like muscle memory he couldn't describe it accurately all he could say was that this felt familiar. Then the bastard staring smiling and l wanted to smack him for that but a lass l was just carrying his luggage which was light we were on the first floor and the exit was closer we reached another door but this time Colin opened it by himself while saying well saying first" let's take a stroll". A blinding light pierced my eyes but did not feel any pain Colin then said "it would help you to stop thinking as a human in this world of ours".
Then l completely opened by eyes and l saw nether beasts frozen everywhere the sky was clear but down here it seemed like hell blood everywhere as well as dismembered and half eaten pieces of human flesh the nether beasts where as tall as a road light muscular with claws bloodied and there maws wide open the had no eyes and their heads resembled that of a bat .Colin smiled and said in a loud voice "Welcome to the ruined city Camelot my good friend or what's left of it anyway ".
When l first arrived the walls stood tall with guards with relics and ark tech rifles constantly watching the sky the alleyways where rundown but still full of life the Thorns base shining so bright in both day and now reduced to rumble the walls were full of holes as if someone was throwing rocks at tissue paper the alley ways where full of monsters and corpses of people rotting away. Colin slowly walked to the nether beasts and passing by them as if time had be frozen l followed behind him observing the beasts up close "But why are they not attacking us" l asked Colin replied with "well they seek the living not the dead and as to why there frozen you have your answer the movement we reach thorns base"
As we walked the scene only got worse we saw Neil the corpse dealer inside a spilt open nether beast half of his skin was dissolved due to stomach acid laying there dead. I asked "what kind of ability do you have"
Then Colin stopped "right l forgot say my ability allows me resurrect the dead you see as for its drawback you're going to have to figure out yourself but l know what your e thinking and what to which are yes to all of those l can control whatever action you make and see everything you think of so there's no point lying to me or refusing my orders as you have experienced it first-hand "
"Why did you bring me back" l asked
"As for why I brought you back it's very simple really you reminded me of a friend l was going on a whim honestly"

"If there useless to others how can they be useful to you" l asked probably not expecting a response .Colin was more quiet than he was aloof which was strange considering were walking past dead people and frozen monsters until the sky become cloudy the atmosphere changed the frozen beasts where no longer frozen.
